P.S.S I saw the Dead play the Other One in concert – it was Fantastic. My favorite song I saw performed will always be Terrapin Station. How about you?
[adrotate group="5"]kalliopekiseesParticipantThe bus was named “Further” (Furthur)…The Grateful Dead’s song “The Other One” is about that famous bus trip – “Magic Trip” – Cowboy Neal, at the wheel…
…on a bus to Neverland. LOL!!
I know, but I am still hopeful he also has ties to Wonderland.
I followed the Dead for about 10 years on the East Coast. My ex was writing his PHD on the Dead at the time. We went as Merry Pranksters one year for Halloween. 🙂
There is a special place in my heart for the 60’s. My mom was a civil rights activist during that time and was arrested more than you can imagine. I love how people who don’t conform to societal norms are so frequently negatively labeled. Perhaps we will also see this reflected in the Mystery Man.
October 23, 2012 at 5:14 pm in reply to: Will Baelfire end up being multiple storybook characters??? #157844kalliopekiseesParticipantI have always been part of the Baefire is Peter Pan Camp. I always thought that August was also a member of the lost boys. After all, when he leaves Emma he goes off with a group of “lost children”.
I followed the Dead for years and am loving the theories. When I heard the name Neal Cassady it was the first thing I thought of. I forgot about the Neverland Lyrics though… Great Catch!
I still feel he also has ties to Wonderland as well. Somehow in some way. Maybe I am just being hopeful. Perhaps, as is being said we will find he has multiple personalities. Peter Pan and Alice are my top two favorites. So excited to see them being played out.
As always, way to go to everyone involved with these theories. Impressive work people!!!! I tip my hat to you.
kalliopekiseesParticipantThe 60’s Hippie Philosophy was based on the Beat Writers. Cassady DROVE the “magic school” bus for the merry pranksters and help to usher in the acid era. LOL!
Interesting… They also call Cassady the Pied Piper of Beat Generation.
This further confirms my suspicions of him being connected to Wonderland somehow.
Tune In, Turn On, Drop Out…

Neal Cassady also made a documentary “Magic Trip” w/ The Grateful Dead and the Dead song “Cassidy” is a memorial to him…yes it’s spelled different for a reason…anyway…this is another connection to The Dead(and ultimately Geronimo Jackson) that I was talking about in the ‘Dr Whale…Proof’ thread…I put this one here, as it is a spoiler, but, there are many Dead connections
I followed the Dead for many years… It was the first thing I thought of when I saw his name. It also reminded me of Jefferson Airplane and of course the song White Rabbit.
kalliopekiseesParticipantUnwilling to let my theory that the QOH is Regina’s sister, Cora’s first born go, this new Cora and George Theory plays into what I was thinking. If George and Cora were married, perhaps Cora did not out maneuver Gold and had to give up her first born. In turn, George cast her out of the Kingdom. It still makes NO sense to me why the QOH would say that Regina is “no Queen.” If the QOH was the first born, and her father was actually a king, that would make her a true Queen. Also, the miller’s daughter married a king. I don’t think Henry is a king. That relationship doesn’t seem in sync with the original tale.
Thoughts?
kalliopekiseesParticipantI invested a great deal into the QOH being related to Regina and her mother. I was hoping the writers would give it more of a spin, and make the QOH a family member (I was going for an unknown sister – that Regina is not the first born). However, “We are Both” suggestively leads one to believe Cora is the QOH. Either the writers are making it blatantly obvious, or they are going to through us for a loop. I will have to be patient and wait it out on this one. (patience is not one of my virtues, however)
If I put my sister theory aside, then I will have to agree with everyone else.
Don’t you just love Wonderland? The story has always been one of my favorites (with the exception of the Disney Cartoon.) I love how OUAT is portraying it and the actors / actresses they are using for the characters. (I do believe I have a wee crush on Jefferson) Can’t wait to see more.
kalliopekiseesParticipantAs we know, the writers love to throw us of track. The mystery man appearing next in ep 6 could be another red herring, or not. I love that they do this (such as the August being Bae misleading clues). It keeps the show interesting.
I too believe that the worlds contain many portal / realm jumpers. I can’t wait to see this further explored and expanded upon.
I would like to take the time to say thank you to everyone who contributes to these boards. The amount of thought that goes behind the theories and the research put into their creation is amazing. I thinks it’s a pretty nifty group to be a part of. For instance the person who took the time to piece together the Dr. Whale Frankenstein Theory deserves mad props! Even if it turns out wrong, way to research your points! Same love goes to everyone else out their stretching their minds and trying to piece together the randomness. Thank you for sharing.
kalliopekiseesParticipantI also think people are forgetting tha Regina coul have sent the broken message as well. Just food for thought
kalliopekiseesParticipant@ The Golden Key, Jefferson is the Mad Hatter. The Mad hatter and the White Rabbit are two separate Characters (In the books). For the block box, highlight the section you want to make a spoiler and click the spoiler button.
@ Faux Pax.. I’m invested in Bae being Pan. If the new Stranger is Bae, than I hope he is also Pan. Although, I did hearsomewhere that Bae is not supposed to make an appearance till later this season. The new stranger’s apartment reminded me of a cluttered rabbit hole or the great OZ for some reason. I’m not sure about Whale…. The Frankie theory is pretty solid, but how does the name apply? And I’ll have to review the points leading people to speculate Whale being Pan. I always felt his name might have a tie to Wales and possibly the druids, or Merlin. But the Frankie theory changed my mind.
The reason I asked about children… I have a toddler and let me tell you when they get angry, watch out! Children will bite, slap, throw, yell, and possibly strangle. LOL. However, they will also kiss, hug, and continually melt your heart.
