There is more in the caves than the coffin. I had the feeling the cave contained or was FTP in ruins. I think there does need to be a bit more light shed down there and further explanation. I think there is much more to it than we know.
[adrotate group="5"]Dr. Whale sounded like Irish or something at one point. Is that relevant to the character? There was just some accent going on at one point. It may be nothing. It isn’t as if accents have been consistent.
That, and his last name possibly being a derivative of Wales is why I tied him into the druids or the Sword and the Stone. I would really love a first name to also work from.
If his SB personality is the opposite of his true personality and character from FTL, then I believe he is Robin Hood. If his personality and character are the same in both SB and FTL, then I believe he is Captain James Hook
I too have been wondering about Captain Hook. Robin Hood also popped up in my mind. Yet, I thought I read somewhere that Dr. Whale is an evil character. Robin Hood was good, but the sheriff of nottingham could be a choice.
There has to be some connection with the accent and Irish / English hertiage possibly found in his last name. I did a search on line, and found a connect with his last name to a ruin circle, hence why I was thinking druids. Druids can shapeshift (might be why he seems drawn to Ruby) and are also healers. But I am having a hard time coming up with evil druid characters.
@midnightdreary.. That would be pretty cool. The characters traveling to other worlds in search of a home. The possibilities are endless. I love the idea!
I too have a strong fascination with Neverland, not so much with OZ however. Neverland and Wonderland have always been my favorites. But even OZ – the wicked witch, emerald city, so many super neat options available. yet, everything i have hoped to happen in this series seems to go the opposite direction. LOL! But I am rooting for your theory.
Who is Regina hugging in the promo? It comes right when the Narrator uses the word heart break. Is that her mother?
This is going to be a great episode I can feel it. Its bitter sweet though, as I don’t want the season to end just yet. But… at least it will leave us with new things to think about over the summer.
What happens if Regina changes he character and nol onger has a black heart. Maybe a new villan will arise. (You cut off the head of a snake, and a new one grows it is place. ) Who is Dr. Whale (driving me nuts) and how will he play into things.
Since in the promo they are taking back the kingdom, does that mean they are also going to try and take back SB? Will they succeed? And if they do, will it last?
Magic fades in our world, since the curse is made of magic, is it too fading?
So many questions, so few answers.

Hmmm.. Jefferson as Bae.. They both are realm jumpers. (Whether Bae jumped to another realm after the one without magic or not , he did jump once, thus making him a realm jumper). Interesting concept. You could play around with the idea for a while.They did cut the scenes of August and Jefferson together. I often wondered why. What did they not want us to see or piece together yet. There were plenty other things that could have been removed to make up the extra time, but they chose to remove Jefferson and August’s conversation. What were they talking about? Did Jefferson tell August about the knife? If so, how did he know about the knife?
Family is important to Jefferson and Regina keeps throwing it in his face. “Family doesn’t abandon family.” Perhaps she was getting in a dig about Rumple abandoning Bae?

@charming…. Hmmm I have a brother, but although we fight, it doesn’t have the same undertones I’m sensing in this one. I’m not discounting the idea, just not convinced. On a side note, you would be surprised what people have and do endure in toxic tangeled relationships. Lol! I know I’v been there caught up in complication of it at one point in my life.I have thought for quite awhile that the QOH is Regina’s sister – the first born taken by Rumple. I wrote a long post about it somewhere. My feelings aligned with charming’s sisterly behaviour observations. Could she be Cora, well perhaps, but Im not convinced. The heart theme follows around Regina and her mother, its everywhere. However its not exclusive to either one. Seems to be a family trait, one a sister could also have inherited.
I am a huge Alice in Wonderland fan and have really enjoyed what they have showed of it in OUAT.
