I’m gonna second Rumple’s death (and add in Neal’s) as absolutely heartbreaking, to the point where it was hard for me to even timeline for a while after both of those.

But one that sticks out is when Belle shatters Chip–Rumple was trying so hard, was so desperate to get her back he even risked TLK, and she just shatters the cup.

Also heartbreaking: when he uses the cup to bring her back because he believes his son is gone and he just NEEDS her even if they are about to die. And the first thing she realizes when she wakes up is how much pain he’s in.

I think Neal’s death is my least favorite scene overall, because the whole thing felt so OOC and still unnecessary to the story…

But I’m going to dwell on another one because it was so bad I kept fast-forwarding through it when I was rewatching the episode. The acting and plotline for Whale’s flashbacks in In the Name of the Brother were downright painful, to the point of near unwatchability. It could have been good and I loved the black and white realm, but the way it was done (and especially after The Outsider left me desperate to see what was going to happen with Belle) just hurt. Rather a low point for the series, especially in a season that in retrospect had such good stuff around it.

Favorite scene:

I think I’m going to pick that brief moment when Rumple hugs both Belle and Neal after the return from Neverland in S3A. For just a moment, the three of them were so happy and hopeful and all their smiles were so genuine.

Beyond that, pick a Rumbelle scene, I probably loved it. Pick a Belle scene, I probably loved it, too.

However, her S3B purple gown was a gorgeous callback to the pink dress in Beauty and the Beast…and that’s definitely my second favorite FTL outfit.

I won’t be satisfied with Belle’s taking him back until he’s proven to her that she can trust him. That’s not going to be easy, and I don’t want it to be easy. But I do want to see it happen.
