Have those title pages ever been that golden yellow color before?  I thought they were usually white.  It reminds me of the yellow brick road.

I think they totally are setting up for OZ in s3.2.  They could go to FTL and the threat of ogres comes from OZ so they go there to deal with it?  They can drag things out a long time if they want.

The actress said it was really cold that day.  Of course it was a black turtleneck, so  aesthetically they could be trying to hint at darkness/Regina magic scene.

It is interesting and I’ve been a fan of the idea of a connection between Belle and Tinkerbell of some kind for awhile.  I like the Tinkermomma idea (except for the part of shipping her with Mo,..OH NO).  One version though the fairy leaves the baby with a random man, so I’d be ok with Mo being an adopted father.  I also like Belle as the ‘laugh momma” to Tink, in the original way that Barrie describes fairies as being born from a baby’s first laugh.

Screwball Ninja on Tumblr did a whole essay about TinkerMomma that describes that original version of Beauty and the Beast really well and it makes me feel if they don’t do it, well they should have!

Ooh, I hope we learn about that darn book! We’ve been waiting for it!  I am really looking forward to that episode and seeing pre-Emma cursed SB.

I loved the Arielle Belle friendship, more princess power! I also liked Archie-belle,

and of course the sass love fest of Granny and Grumpy.

The writers could have avoided the cliche triangle thing, as they did a bit with Katherine /MM/David with Katherine taking herself out of it, or Tamara taking herself out by being revealed as evil but I don’t see any way right now for this to play out with Hook or Neal stepping back.  I do not think they’re turning one or the other evil either, but they could.

They can do whatever they want with how they’ve written things, really.  For all that we think we are seeing patterns and clues, ultimately, Hook can flip on a dime anyway, and Neal could get hit by a curse and has the world’s worst luck.  Emma represses her feelings, so who knows what she really feels or thinks even if she says one thing.   Short of some magic TLK or pixie dust–well, fans are going to argue forever.

I agree BlueButterfly, that Emma ought to be able to get to know present day Neal, with his past as Bae incorporated into her picture of him.  She cannot truly choose, between these two without knowing both of them better, but again, she doesn’t have to choose anyone but Henry either.  I think the writers could show why Hook or Neal isn’t right for her, but all the reasons people have thrown out there to this point are easily solved with fresh scenes.

I was put in mind of Jerry Maguire by the conversation about single mothers.   If you recall that movie, Jerry is a kind of self-centered jerk, but he reforms into a passionate family man more or less, realizing he has hurt the single mother  (can’t remember the character name!).   So I do think they can show Hook’s changed his stripes completely, all for love if that’s what they want to say.  Milah herself didn’t value Bae the way Emma does Henry.  Neal and Emma weren’t together when Hook came on the scene, plus Neal doesn’t have a longstanding relationship with Henry.   They only knew each other a few days really.  So while Neal did step up to the plate on fatherhood, it is possible Hook could and the argument would be its different than with Bae, because it is more important to the woman he’s pursuing.I do think they’ve been showing off Neal’s good qualities though.  His patience, understanding, love and I hope more is going to come.  Yes he still has his flaws, but I hope those are things that, under less tense circumstances, Emma might still find endearing.    They can write her reactions many ways, and so far, what I look for is those smiles.   Once we see her glancing and smiling at him, it would give some momentum to it.

I think Mo just read the same warped parenting book that King Xavier, King Midas,  King George and Cora did–he loved Belle, but he was ruthless about substituting his judgement for hers about what was “best” for her.   I think he and Smee knew Rumple was dangerous, so they didn’t have much time to do whatever they were going to do, so they rushed to the back-up plan.  It was not well-thought out but I do not think it was motivated by revenge, because if that was the case, he wouldn’t have wasted time talking to her at all.  He wouldn’t say to her she doesn’t understand–because what she understands or not wouldn’t matter.

About Hook and Neal–we do have the CSF thread and it tends to produce stormy waters as people have intense opinions.   I agree that Emma’s emotions are unclear, because she has been written to be a character that can repress what she truly feels.   What is clear is she told both guys to back off the love game, because right now, all she wants is her son back.  They both acknowledged that’s what she wants.  While some people unfairly take Neal’s line about fighting for her  from an earlier episode as coming after her declaration to back off, the context was different as Red said.    I am glad they’re taking a break from it but not glad they aren’t resolving it.

    I dislike these triangle  plotlines!

Well maybe its just an episode at home in SB as they figure out the new curse?  Are there scenes of just the non-cursed people running around or something that’s driving the speculation that all the cursed folk are in FTL?

Ooh Cruella…  I forever see Cruella as a drag queen after that Once Upon an Anonymous Fan spoof. (If you haven’t seen it, it is a very funny spoof about SB’s self-help group )  I still would ship it!  I absolutely want Cruella beause just think of what their costume designer, who’s already won awards, would do with it!

I thought “There’s no place like Home” would be the title…darn!

I’m curious to see what they’ll do.  If they do something where everyone who was cursed goes one place, it would leave them with:
Darlings, Emma, Henry, Neal, Hook, Ariel, and Anton.   I am not sure they’d get Jorge Garcia or Joanna back (please get them back!) so its possible that they wouldn’t do that kind of storyline or if they did, there’ll be an actual plot hole unless they cover with a reference to where he is or why he’s not there, like “magical creatures were taken too regardless of whether originally cursed or not”.
