ParticipantI’m not going to cheer for two reasons.
1) She’s not the worst villain we’ve seen.
She’s not as bad as Cora or even Regina. She thinks she’s fighting a war, and wars (as Rumpel said) do have costs. I’ll fault her for maybe not trying to minimize the costs as hard as she can, but she’s not crazy or selfish. She thinks this is all for the greater good so she is misguided perhaps, thinking all magic users are “evil creatures”. With Regina as an example, she sort of has a point.2)There’s darkness for whoever does the deed.
Its fun to cheer on Regina or Rumpel using their power to help “our heroes”–but just like Snow having a dark heart over killing Cora, I don’t want more darkness for either Rumpel or Regina right now. If they kill GOAT, sure, we’re cheering now, but much better if they capture Tamara and treat her humanely, rather than proving her point that these “magical creatures” cannot co-exist civilly and peacefully with the rest of the world.
Then of course, like a good spy she uses her suicide pill and keeps the details of the Home Office from them. Because we need a twist of drama, and I don’t think I want to see her character get redeemed and join our “family”.[adrotate group="5"]“If I had a world of my own, everything would be nonsense. Didn’t you think it was odd that the Mrs Darling without asking her husband says that Bae is staying with them ❓
I thought she looked rather like Milah–and her boys looked a little like little Bae did. I think she just felt an instant connection to him, that he could have been her son too and there was no need to ask, because she knew her husband would feel the same way. She was sort of the mother he’d always wanted to have.

ParticipantTo be fair–they are still keeping the mystery alive by avoiding direct confirmation.

ParticipantI just listened to it. I think it confirmed things we already suspected, not sure what spoliers there were other than one line about Hook backstory next week, but that seemed a given with the ending of this episode .
They spent a lot of time on Bae and what a tragic and heroic figure he is. I’ve seen people call him a coward but A&E flat out said he was brave. They also talked about how important that moment with the Darlings was for Bae. It was really the first time he could be a kid and relax.I do think he is meant to be the Peter Pan figure in the story, but definitely in reverse. He doesn't want to go to NL but does so to save Wendy. I also think Hook is not going to be a villain but his mentor there in NL because NL is B-A-D. I don't think he's having fun adventures there, but fighting for his life more or less.

ParticipantI agree with a lot of that MysteryKat. I’m not sure I see such a strong paralllel between Milah and Graham to Hook and Emma. Milah meant way more to Hook, devastated him, but Graham was more like a sad moment for Emma. She wasn’t in love with him, just attracted and willing to consider opening her walls a little. Neal ‘s “death” on the other hand does put her in that frame of mind–but I think her reaction to Tamara will be something that enlightens Hook. I don’t think Emma is going to want to kill Tamara (quackattack bodyslam her repeatedly, sure….but not kill). Unless it goes dark, and Emma feels the thirst for vengeance herself, and that gives her common ground with Hook. Yikes….I hope she doesn’t “mommy & me” and get on the dark heart path like Snow. I’m pretty sure Emma won’t though. She’ll feel the temptation but resist–and someone else will end up killing Tamara (maybe GOAT will kill each other !)
I am pretty sure Nealfire and Hook were friends–Hook saved his life by hauling him out of the water. It seems likely though at some point Hook resumed his quest to kill Rumpel, and Nealfire wouldn’t of course, be on board with that.

ParticipantHookriel has been around before this show even, before Hook made his first appearance on the show so in my case I view it as more of a fan-what-if thing right now. I think most people don’t yet think it’s what the writers intend, so much as what fans hope they might consider doing.

ParticipantI agree Laurieanne. Good point that she used magic to escape. There are many things that do not add up for her.

ParticipantRegina almost certainly has to have a hero moment after the latest reveals of evil on her part–her being tortured by Mendel isn’t enough to regain audience sympathy.
Yes, people are thinking about the titles–but I think that relates to the likely flashbacks we will see since we just found out Bae met Hook. I believe we will have to see the rest of those two interacting.
Something to consider there then–what if in the past Hook and Bae end up destroying NL in their quest to free the Lost Boys, which parallels the failsafe being activated by GOAT in the present? There’s still time line issues of course–but Wendy did say time passed differently in NL for her.

ParticipantMy theory was it was Rumpel that tried to use magic–and originally Rumpel said what he was didn’t mix well with fairy magic. So that may be why the shadow is after Bae or connected to him somehow. I think that Bae escaped is important–unlike other boys who land on NL, Bae fell in the water and went to Hook’s ship. I think maybe Bae ends up flying with fairy help and never technically sets foot on NL.
We also don’t know where the Dark One curse came from originally–BF implies it doesn’t belong in FTL. What if it came from NL? I’m thinking it is from a different realm than that too but NL is creepy.

ParticipantHm that makes sense–then to escape when SB doesn’t go boom, a desperate GOAT get on a boat out of town to another realm with Henry as their insurance policy? I'm still not sure they are going to NL though.
