The village in EF that Cora slaughtered contained children. You see them in episode 2×03. There was no mention of a great mystery where no children’s bodies were found, and I think Snow and Emma would have noticed something like that. That means Hook had no problem with letting her murder them.
I unspoilered that part, since it’s comment on a past episode but I cut off where you get into spoilery stuff.
Hook may have had a problem, but been unable to prevent Cora going rage crazy. That may be why he double-crossed her in the first place by stealing her climbing spell. After all, it was risky for him to do that, and it isn’t like Snow & Co would have seemed more likely to get him to Rumpel. He commented something like they were “far safer company”. I think he wasn’t lying about that.
I think he may have limits, but I don’t see him giving up his revenge just yet. The writers haven’t given him new motivation yet, so why take away the driving arc for him? So as to that spoilery stuff: Even if children generally aren't a line for him, if he finds out that Henry is still Milah's grandson, that might trigger something in him.

ParticipantI do–but fear he is gone. There was a long thread probably in the Selfless Brave True episode forum where people talked about him.

Except Hook already crossed Regina once by not taking Cora’s heart like he promised he switched sides on her so how would Regina trust Hook now he could do the same thing ❓
They don’t have to trust each other–they just need to pretend long enough while they have a common goal. That is one thing about villains when they work together. They expect the betrayal but just think they are smart enough to outmaneuver the other guy /girl first. Remember, Regina promised Hook he could kill Rumpel in the new land after the curse–but she was hiding the fact he wouldn’t remember to do it. He may have double-crossed her, but she was not on the up and up either.
Woah–the idea of Regina doing to Henry Jr what she did to Henry Sr…..diabolical! I don’t think they are going to go there just yet…..

ParticipantSorry this will be long–haven’t time to edit it short 😛
HappyEndings– Hook didn’t steal Milah. She was not a possession. She made a choice to leave Rumpel because she was unhappy. If you fault Hook for anything there, it is he chose to fall for the kind of woman who would leave her son, and a woman who didn’t have the courage to break up with her husband.
As for murderous, Mermaids in Neverland are too.
Wendy: What? Are mermaids not sweet?
Peter: They’ll sweetly drown you if you get too closeOn Nealfire not being brave enough, we’ve disagreed about that in terms of physical bravery and fighting. There are a few lines in the play of Peter Pan that are interesting to consider for his character too.
Barie wrote in Peter Pan:Mrs. Darling: There are many different kinds of bravery. There’s the bravery of thinking of others before one’s self. Now, your father has never brandished a sword nor fired a pistol, thank heavens. But he has made many sacrifices for his family, and put away many dreams.
Michael: Where did he put them?
Mrs. Darling: He put them in a drawer. And sometimes, late at night, we take them out and admire them. But it gets harder and harder to close the drawer… He does. And that is why he is brave.
Or this–
It was then that Hook bit him.
Not the pain of this but its unfairness was what dazed Peter. It made him quite helpless. He could only stare, horrified. Every child is affected thus the first time he is treated unfairly. All he thinks he has a right to when he comes to you to be yours is fairness. After you have been unfair to him he will love you again, but he will never afterwards be quite the same boy. No one ever gets over the first unfairness; no one except Peter.”
― J.M. Barrie, Peter PanHas Neal gotten over the unfairness of his father breaking their deal? He hadn’t when they met in Manhattan–he ran not out of fear but out of anger. When he thought Rumpel might harm Emma, for breaking the deal, he was waiting and did not hesitate to step in, and then ordered Rumpel out. He grudgingly gave him 3 minutes to talk. I didn’t see that as a guy afraid, but definitely it was not a guy who got over it.
So quite possibly, he isn’t Peter, not because he’s not brave enough, but because he is not carefree enough. Neal has a lot of worries, guilt and anger. Yet if Peter Pan did grow up, would he not change in that process?

ParticipantWell far as the wraith thing, maybe Rumpel didn’t know that Regina altered the curse to put a fail-safe in. The curse sounds kind of like a computer program, doesn’t it? Rumpel wrote the basic code, which may have been beyond Regina’s skills to do herself, but she still could make a few changes to customize it.

ParticipantGood detective work lol.
I think it looks likely that she is Ariel, or at least how they could cast her and not need to do a casting call. She’s perfect for the part. 😆

ParticipantWill we get another sneak peek or is this it? I don’t think we’ll get enough to speculate about the fail safe without more to go on. Though the spoilers that reference a dragon do have me thinking it could be tied to letting Malificient loose …though that's probably stretching it.

how would the OUAT world reconcile characters like Tiana who come from a “real world” place? I’m pretty sure New Orleans is specifically named in that movie. Does that just strike her outright from the realm of possibilities?
I think that version is possibly too new for them to riff on, but I have a soft spot for it. I liked that Tiana was hard working and talented, and that her prince had to learn to be responsible. They also love to cast actors from Lost….so Naveen Andrews as Prince Naveen? Maybe they’d do it 😆 .
The “real world place” is an issue for other potential characters, such as Wendy from Peter Pan. They never revealed if THIS Hook came from London too, but it could be a “storybook” version, just as Frankenstein is from an alternative version of a “real world”.

Participant54. If you go into the mausoleum, and see a snake with two heads, run. Call the animal shelter or the Sheriff only after you are safely away.

Participant(This is a great thread lol).
45. If you get into a major accident and need surgery, be prepared to wait. While there are several doctors in the town and an entire hospital, there is apparently only one surgeon and he likes to get drunk.
