ParticipantI kind of expect a very slow week as we know a huge part of 18 will be built around flashbacks for Eva/Cora/Leo –and possibly Rumple. Given that RC hasn’t yet filmed very much that we’ve heard about, and what we predict would be a slow-burning arc for him since Rumple’s”dead”–this could be where they’ll give him some bulky screentime and the flashbacks might dominate the episode, with very little happening present day.
I’m trying to remember Miller’s Daughter, but that was also Barbara Hershey’s last episode, so I felt both halves of the narrative were given equal weight, but this time around, the extra- special guest star character is only in the past (not that Mader isn’t a special guest star too….but Rose is a one-shot for this season).

ParticipantI have been on that speculation for a while now , so if it is true, I’ll be happy and want cookies! It is hard to tell though exactly which pictures she’s holding, or from where they came, so we just have to wait to see–things aren’t always what we think from promo photos!

ParticipantI loved Ariel, and agree, she fit so well but maybe they can develop Snow and Belle for once as friends? It feels overdue and much as I love having a larger cast of characters, truthfully they have a strange pattern of making Snow and Belle friends with the exact same people, just not at the same scene. It’s time to show that bond between Snow and Belle, I feel.

ParticipantI think there’s pretty good reason to think Hook’s side of things was “step-fatherly” towards Bae at least in part, despite the weak focus on this part of the story.
We first see the flashbacks of Bae and Hook between scenes of Regina sacrificing herself for Henry and he has a line “the things we do for our children” not “yours” or just “children”. Then we see that when he didn’t know who the boy who fell in the water was,he would have treated him as a “rare and valuable object’ and used him for survival in NL. Had Bae been Rumpel’s son alone and not Milah’s, he would just have used him for information and then disposed of him by turning him over to Pan. It was ONLY because Bae was Milah’s son and reminded Hook of Milah, that Hook ever wanted to help him and be a “family” to the point he’s pleading he can change for him. Bae, however, felt lied to and used because Hook wasn’t upfront about knowing who he was, and it came across to Bae (who had strong prejudice against pirates as he’d grown up thinking his family was destroyed by one), that he shouldn’t have trusted Hook at all. Hook could have been honest with Bae the moment he realized who he was, but who knows, Bae might have been too upset then too. What counts is that Hook’s intentions went on this journey–> Use random boy for survival in NL–> Use Dark One’s son for information on how to achieve revenge –> Protect Milah’s son and be a family —> Use the kid who’s rejecting me for survival in NL. He went 360 degrees basically, back to where he started, and all because Bae rejected him. So that’s not a “true” step-father type relationship as you don’t end those bonds so easily. It’s not a question of whether Hook ever married Milah or not, because plenty of people form “domestic partnerships” or otherwise are together indefinitely regardless of their legal, public commitments. The point is, Hook expressed the intention of being a family with Bae until he was rejected. Yet he might have regretted that –we don’t entirely know. He talks about him as a “friend” and having missed him, kept his sword (probably his robe too). The story-telling on this point was terribly vague and underdone.
Belle and Neal have no blood relationship there, but I expect Belle and Neal to be friends, but if they want to trash either of their characters, make them “darker” or “edgier” or something, guess you couldn’t rule out the writers doing something else but it just wouldn’t be a very romantic story to me so would be something to root against, rather than for but as we’ve seen–everyone likes different things. So there may be people who WOULD want that, but I wouldn’t. It would feel if they did that, a kind of decision to sway audiences against Neal or Belle for some reason rather than to root for them to be together, so it would be a ‘doomed’ type of thing if they did it.

ParticipantIt’s hard to figure out what Rapunzel has to do with the Dark One curse in some way, unless it was perhaps HER father that started it, and she’s survived for years locked in a tower for some reason to live to tell the tale. Perhaps her hair isn’t supernaturally /magically long, but just an indication of how flipping long she’s been in there.
Then again, bars on the window? Someone’s keeping her in there. So curious as we know very little about how her story fits into anything so far!

ParticipantOh it was probably in reference to something else, but of all the many wonderful Beatles songs to pick ? It’s not even in their top 10 biggest hits list like “Can’t buy me love” or say “Help” or something like that. http://www.washingtontimes.com/news/2013/may/1/list-top-10-beatles-no-1-songs-us-and-uk/
So I’ll take my feels where I find them right now!

ParticipantAdam randomly tweeted this song title ” I saw her standing there”
“I Saw Her Standing There”
(1,2,3,4!)
Well, she was just 17
You know what I mean
And the way she looked was way beyond compare
So how could I dance with another (Ooh)
When I saw her standing thereWell she looked at me, and I, I could see
That before too long I’d fall in love with her
She wouldn’t dance with another (Whooh)
When I saw her standing thereWell, my heart went “boom”
When I crossed that room
And I held her hand in mine…Whoah, we danced through the night
And we held each other tight
And before too long I fell in love with her
Now I’ll never dance with another (Whooh)
Since I saw her standing thereWell, my heart went “boom”
When I crossed that room
And I held her hand in mine…Whoah, we danced through the night
And we held each other tight
And before too long I fell in love with her
Now I’ll never dance with another (Whooh)
Since I saw her standing thereSF feels anyone?

ParticipantRG– I’m feeling the same way now too.
There’s a lot building one way but a lot building the other way too.
NYC, home theme, Charley’s girl, and now those screencaps? I think Neal is kind of what breaks the curse for Emma, well not just him but a talisman related to him + that potion. It won’t be clear it isn’t just the potion though, but she won’t be convinced to drink it until something to do with Neal comes up. I don’t think its going to be just Hook showing up and staring at her that is going to do the trick. She will need more, as she should. Oh and I forgot, she’s “once again” a bail-bonds-person. Bael’s bond person remember? Shippy it may be, but with all the ship spin the other way right now, why not. Flicker of hope is growing a touch brighter, just a touch, but it is.
