ParticipantI think so too 🙁
They kind of need someone to die to raise the emotional stakes after all the fake-out killings they’ve done. Season 1 was full of some emotional punches and I think Billy/Gus was really the last sort of non-villain who was named to actually perish. August was…reverted. Then we had Hopper, Neal, Charming, Blue and Rumple (fingers crossed!) all be dangled at death’s door but saved. There was a similar rumor about August’s actor not getting along too…but a dwarf seems more background scenery and more capable of being killed off unless its Grumpy.
Happy got a great line that one episode, but nothing that couldn’t be said by one of the other ones. The other recurring character I could see them do this to is Whale/Frankenstein/Anders. I’ve looked a time or two at his twitter, and he’s a bit ..brash and outspoken, and quite possibly not all that invested in what they’ve done with his character because its sort of like what happened to Ruby. He was never promoted to main cast or anything but he had two episodes of backstory and possibly some arc planned for him that never materialized when the shift to NL came about. I know he’s gone to support the show at various conventions, so on the other hand, maybe not him.

ParticipantI really like the Wicked Princess and the Frog idea–that’s what turned her green, and Rapunzel is her daughter, and not sure of the rest of the details here, but she needs to gather up “True Love” babies like Philora kid and Snowflake to break her curse because Regina killed Rapunzel’s daddy or something (and she doesn’t love Rapunzel being so upset over the daddy dying).
I don’t know…I just really like the idea of “Its not easy being green” being a Kermit the Frog thing. SO maybe that’s Rapunzel’s daddy’s name 🙂

ParticipantI said this in chat, but I strongly suspect that Jafar wants the Sultan’s love only to make sure the guy suffers the same shock of betrayal that Jafar felt when the Sultan killed him. Just killing him isn’t good enough–needs to be betrayed in that same way.
That’s revenge!
Beyond that, the Sultan was horrible to Jafar, but it seems like Pan’s been horrible to many other people besides. The Sultan had a kingdom to think about and while it was brutal there may have been some logic to it–but Pan’s just motivated by a selfish desire to stay young forever and fly around. Even before as Malcolm he seemed to spend his days drinking and gambling (playing games) so …not seeing any sort of mitigating thing here to his behavior. He not only cruelly insulted Rumple, his own son by talking about how everyone leaves him, he seemed to enjoy berating him in that last scene in Gold’s shop, taunting him how he’d kill the people he loves. Pan used many other people in his quest for immortality and kidnapped his own grandson, his friends for hundreds of years and would have killed his great-grandson and anyone who wanted to save him.
So I don’t know how they’re going to top Pan for the bad Dad of the year award but ….he makes Cora look like a sweetheart. She always wanted the best for Regina even if her definition of “best” was cruel beyond anything Machiavelli ever had in mind.

ParticipantWell you can become queen by marriage–depends on the royalty rules in use in that society, and what the exact titles are. I suppose technically you are a “Queen consort” or “King consort” but from what little I know of the history of this–there’s a bit of a gender bias so men do not inherit the titles from their spouse, but the woman could. So the previously untitled man typically wouldn’t be styled King for marrying the Queen, but the previously untitled woman would become Queen , like Queen Noor.

So with Disney cannon–is Aladdin ever referred to as a prince other than in disguise as fake Prince Ali? Or Flynn /Eugene? I’m not sure in the movie they ever are or not sure what status they’re given officially. Tiana definitely gets referred to as a Princess as it is part of a plot point that someone titled needs to kiss Naveen. When they marry as frogs, she becomes a princess and the kiss transforms him.
Technically I guess Charming should be Queen Snow’s Royal Consort then, not Prince Charming, assuming they did take back the kingdom. Unless it was still his faking being Prince James, adopted son of King George.
Ok…its dizzying.

ParticipantI’m pretty sure its the same dress–despite the cuffs because the way those lace bell sleeves are, I suspect they’re getting caught inside the sleeve in some shots when the actress moves her arms around.
So who stole the clothes ? Regina or Wicked? I think Wicked because she moves into Regina’s castle and finds her stuff. Then she declares she’s going to take everything from Regina or something like that….

Participant(sorry if double post, hit submit, saw nothing post….Casper Peeves, you leave me alone!)
I agree based on what we know now, that I don’t think they are likely candidates but with this show, who knows. I couldn’t rule it out either! For all we know, Emma is already secretly married to someone that they just decide to write in and introduce and then people will say–oh we thought she had an affair with married guy, but actually, she got cheated on by a guy she married and didn’t want to talk about or offend MM her only friend at the time!
There’s so much we don’t know, because who would have thought Cora and Rumple were a thing until that OMG moment when she kissed him out of nowhere when giving him the globe? They foreshadow and then there’s stuff that they blindside us with for shock. Maybe its Wicked’s wedding to Mulan and the SPLASH is like the bucket that kills the WWW in the original story….only its a good thing here because the only thing that melted was her heart. After Papa Pan…I just don’t know what’s going on but it is a wild ride.

ParticipantShouldn’t Regina be a princess as the daughter of Prince Henry–but then, we figured he lost his kingdom somehow. She was still a “Queen”” Bride marrying a King versus a woman marrying a Prince.

ParticipantOh The Enchanted Christmas–it had its moments, and one story would fit into OUAT almost…so the story was there was this curse and all the servants were turned into inanimate objects, and this ONE servant was actually happy about it because it let him focus on making his music (loud, angry, depressed music) and feeling important because depressed Beast liked the music. He didn’t want Belle to break the spell and set about trying to stop her. It would have been interesting if besides Regina we’d seen any of those other mysterious “worst of the worst” villains be upset the curse was broken at some point, desperately wanting to recast it to go back to the fake life she’d made for them.
