Don’t know if this has been posted yet. During last night’s Once podcast, Daniel mentioned that the nuns in SB were named the Sisters of St. Meissa.
Did look “Meissa” up and it is the name of a bright star in the constellation Orion (actually a double star which accounts for its brightness). Seems interesting reference back to the Blue “Star” Fairy! ๐ฎ
[adrotate group="5"]king arthurParticipantI think that is just how OUaT has been spelling the name RumPLEstiltskin. It how it’s listed on Wikipedia and IMDB. Even though the original Grimm’s fairytale it’s spelled as RumPELstiltskin.

I’m going waaay out on a limb here, but…I call that August is Ariel and the leg pains come from the fact that he/she is reverting to the mermaid state.
That would explain his affinity to water!
king arthurParticipantI have a left field theory. What if the character that dies is not any of the ones we are naturally focusing on.
What if it is GRANNY that dies? It could be of natural causes or she remembers FTL and the shock sends her into a heart attack. I know she is not a “major” character but she is one of those endearing characters that people will be sad to lose.
It would certainly be devastating for Ruby, but at end of Red Handed, Granny did say Ruby would inherit the diner and likely the inn. It would be conceivable for the writers to explore how Ruby adapts to taking over for Granny in Season 2.
king arthurParticipantI wouldn’t mind if Baelfire has not aged, like if he became Peter Pan or a Lost Boy. Partly because like many of you all, I like the young actor who plays Bae. Also, once Rumple finds Belle, the three of them would make a sweet family. ๐
king arthurParticipantGood question. I’ve always wondered if Belle and Rumple had finished their kiss, if Rumple might still have his powers but just lost the “evil that had taken root in him”.
Or did the Blue Fairy just mistakenly assume that “no one could ever love a beast” like Rumple and therefore he would never have a true live?
king arthurParticipantAugust could have just dyed his hair for the purposes of coming to SB to trick Gold into thinking he was Bae.
king arthurParticipantI think a good Rumbelle video could be done to Patsy Cline’s “Stand By Your Man” or Johnny Cash’s “Ring of Fire”

I read in a forum that Baelfire’s name seems to be related to the term: bonfire…so fire=fireman ยฟWasnt Henry’s Dad a fireman? ๐ I think this could be: “pulling a Rumple” and seeing what i want to see ..instead of what is in front of me ๐ But this theory is really good…and I would adore for Bae to be Emma’s baby daddy! Imagine the akward/amazing family reunions: Gold; Emma; Bae; Henry, Snow& Charming <3 lolz...
I really like that theory about Baelfire’s name being related to Henry’s Dad being a fireman. It would also shadow back to the fact that when Rumple first went to get the cursed dagger, he set the castle on fire. And then also the fire he set in the Mayor’s office to help Emma get elected. It would be fitting that Bae (as Henry’s dad) has metaphorically been trying to put out the fire that Rumple started.
The funny thing that keeps going through my head if these theories are true is the picture of the Charming family and Rumplestiltskin family gathered together for Thanksgiving dinner after the curse is broken and everyone is reunited. Hehehe! LOL! ๐

Bae was transported through the green vortex to a different realm, possibly Oz and actually became the Wizard of Oz. This would be one of those twists that OUaT writers like to throw in. Bae was trying to escape magic but ends up as the Wizard with kind of “magic”. Time could pass differently in this other realm in relation to both SB and FTL, accounting for why Bae has not yet died while Rumple is hundreds of years old.
My thinking that Bae is in Oz is because it is possible to view other realms when in Oz, based on the Wicked Witch having shown Dorothy her Aunt Em (in the movie version). Perhaps Bae has been able to follow Rumple distantly and knows that his father has been putting together the curse for purposes of trying to reunite with Bae. Bae even knows that Emma is the key to breaking the curse.
Eventual Bae finds a way to our world (maybe helped by Dorothy). He comes to try to protect Emma and ends up in an intimate relation with her, and Henry is conceived. For some reason, Bae in unable to remain in our world and must return to Oz. Emma thinks he has run out on her, she goes on to have her baby in jail. Likely Bae is working with August as the green phone Auguat is using @ beginning of The Return sure looks as if it could be a hotline to Oz (or he was calling Batman :D).
For fans of The Terminator: This is a little akin to John Connor sending a protector into the past for his mother (Sarah Connor) with the protector actually becoming the father of Sarah Conner’s child. Sarah Conner gave birth to her child in a jail/asylum and the child was placed into foster care much like Henry was adopted by the Mayor. I also see much of Sarah Connor’s tough fighting spirit in Emma. And in The Terminator series, Sarah Connor had to prepare her son and others for the “Final Battle” against the machines. Kind of like Emma will lead the Final Battle against the EQ.
