After the darkness within Rumple (Robert Carlyle) was accidentally set free, Emma (Jennifer Morrison) decided to sacrifice herself for the town and become the new Dark One, aka Dark Swan. But the big question was where Emma disappeared to after being consumed, which appeared to be answered in a special sneak peek shown during the Comic-Con panel on Saturday.
In the Enchanted Forest — specifically what appeared to be the prison that used to house Rumplestiltskin — a peasant delivers food to the lone occupant: The Dark Swan. Sporting new duds and a sparkly face — though not quite as intense as what Rumplestiltskin has — Emma rips out her captor’s heart after he is shocked to see a beautiful woman. “They said you were a monster,” he said. “Only on the inside,” she spit back before crushing it.

Since you scaled back on Michael Socha’s role as a series regular, does that mean we won’t be getting the story of him and Anastasia this year?
HOROWITZ: We hope to get to it. We hope to see Michael more. He’s not a regular anymore, but he’s still a part of the Once Upon a Time family and universe. We’d love to get to it.
KITSIS: We remain big fans. It is a large cast with a lot of people that are front and center.In other words, most likely not.
I’m really surprised that they didn’t hold these announcements over until tomorrow as part of the Comic-con panel.
Alright so went to the #OnceUponATime filming today and saw Jennifer, Robert and a surprise guest. It was pretty interesting 😉

So Adam has just started following Carrie Coon on Twitter. It could just be a coincidence however with filming beginning in a few days, they in theory should have cast the main big arc roles by now. She’s not Latina like the casting call asks, but I can very easily see Carrie as Guinevere. She is 34 and the casting call asked for someone in their mid-20s to mid-30s so she fits that part.
Just thought it might be worth a mention.
