This episode was really random, in my opinion. Just out of nowhere Henry and Ella have a child. We haven’t even seen them fall in love yet. Then they just skip eight years later. Why did they keep that statue in their castle? Why did they not remember the prophecy? Regina’s throw away line about the timeline is just the writers being jerks. They are terrible about details and terrible about world building and they just don’t care. That stuff matters. What makes a story good is the details. Rumpel being imp like was really random. I, also, thought that maybe he was a second Rumpel for a moment. They didn’t explain why Drizella was suddenly attacking Ella and Henry. They didn’t explain why Tremaine was helping them stop her. They didn’t explain where Zelena and Robyn were. Lucy being unconscious seems to have to do with Anastasia being awake and Lucy’s belief being gone, so why they are connecting that to the curse and Henry’s poisoning does not make a lot of sense. They should be able to save Lucy without breaking the curse. I almost feel like this should have been the second episode of the season and then they should have filled in some details over the half of a season. I am not really convinced that this half had a plot.
I had a similar thought about when this episode should have aired. If this flashback, along with A Pirate’s Life and Eloise Gardner’s flashback had all been in the first episode, it would have been much more interesting. Of course, then we would’ve known Ivy and Eloise were evil from the start, but I think it still would’ve worked.
[adrotate group="5"]StahlopParticipantMaybe Z will send R back to our world to boarding school, and then she runs off to Amsterdam (if that cursed memory is accurate).
But she’s supposed to be 25. Way past boarding school age. Unless the curse somehow made her younger.
StahlopParticipantSo Robyn is apparently back. Why is she wearing a private school uniform? I thought she was supposed to be at least college age and in Amsterdam?
StahlopParticipantZelena did have her magic. She magicked the dark curse scroll from Drizella’s hand. Although why she and Robyn are living on a pig farm in Enchanted Forest 2.0 is definitely a question that needs to be answered.
I definitely want to more about Alice and Robyn’s relationship!

I didn’t feel like anything was explained or resolved. Just more questions and a sped up timeline for plot purposes. And it disproved my whole Lucy was inserted into their lives theory.
Liked:
The return of Zelena. It was refreshing to see her as a ‘hippie’ in workout clothes, hair a mess and no make up. Also loved that her name was Kelly. Wasn’t that one of her ‘choices’ for baby pistachio?
Zelena acknowledging that the timeline is out of wack.
Wish Realm Hook giving up his relationship with Alice in HH so Lucy and Jacinda could have theirs.
Adelaide Kane is such a great actress. That I can feel sorry for her after her betrayal by Gothel says a lot.
Mixed:
I like that they made Alice and Robyn a couple, but the epic, swelling love theme behind their kiss was a bit much.
We got to see the bit from the season 6 finale, so that makes sense. I’m still confused as to why Tiger Lily was there. Is she Lucy’s fairy godmother, because then she has a purpose in protecting her. Otherwise, there was absolutely no reason for her to be there.
Or maybe Henry was poisoned with Nightshade from Neverland and Tiger Lily will be the only one who can bring back the magic water to cure him
Are we to assume that Lady Tremaine joined the resistance against her with the sole purpose of entrapping Drizella? Did she become good after that? The kingdom seemed to be at peace for 8 years and Tiana was a princess again, so what the hell happened?
As much as I hated the timeline jump, it did explain a few things, like Lucy was 8 when the curse was cast, so that means they’ve been cursed for at least two years because she’s 10 now.
What the hell happened to Rumple in those 8 years?
Dislike:
How did Zelena get her magic back? Is this something that will be explained after he break or are we supposed to forget that she gave it up at the end of last season?
So Anastasia is the Guardian? I said it last week and I’ll say it again, that makes no sense. Was she somewhere in the vicinity when Rumple came through the portal? I don’t understand this. Also, when did she become such a powerful witch? We were told she had magic, same as Drizella but that it was suppressed as children. How does she wake up and just have all this power?
Hated the timeline jump. This story could’ve played out throughout this half of the season much better than how it was presented.
You mean to tell me Henry had a baby and a prophecy that was to happen when Lucy turned 8 and neither Emma or the Charmings were involved at all?
Where is Robyn in this world? Is she really Amsterdam?
December 13, 2017 at 10:30 pm in reply to: 709 "One Little Tear" Favorite/Least Favorite Moments #345059StahlopParticipantI’m pretty sure Gothel told her to squeeze the juice into her drink.
Ok, that’s probable. I must have missed that. And while I get that desperate souls do desperate things, Rapunzel trusting in Gothel–a woman who locked her in a tower for six years–is pretty strange. We got next to nothing of what life was like between Rapunzel and Gothel during those six years (was Gothel even around? I mean who braided Rapunzel’s hair? Who got her food? Who got her clothes?).
I feel like the tower provides everything for her. Like that was part of its magic. I honestly don’t think Gothel returned after trapping Rapunzel there.
StahlopParticipantIs that Alice with a bow? Yeah, i thought the last episode was going to show us Regina and Zelena. Though, i am not that big of a fan of Zelena as a character. Regina should not interact with her. She should not raise a child. She is still fun as a character even though she is terribly developed.
I think it’s Zelena’s daughter, Robin.
Agreed. My first assumption was that it was Robin who had run off in teenage rebellion (or in an effort to feel like she fits in somewhere) to this new realm and Zelena had come to take her back if she is still a teen, or persuade her not to join (if she is a young adult). Like @hjbau I also find it odd that Robyn is blonde (if indeed it is her).
Wasn’t Robin Hood dark blonde? That would certainly explain it. Also, I’m naturally blonde and both my parents are brunette, just depends on when two recessive genes finally meet up.

I think so, yes.
I was under the impression that the mushroom gave Cecilia the poisoned heart curse, being as it was a mushroom from Wonderland, but now I’m not so sure.
I thought so too but I don’t know how Rapunzel would know what to do with it (I don’t exactly look at mushrooms and go “ah! I must squeeze it!”) or what the mushroom would even do.
I’m pretty sure Gothel told her to squeeze the juice into her drink.
December 9, 2017 at 11:00 pm in reply to: 709 "One Little Tear" Favorite/Least Favorite Moments #344976StahlopParticipantI’m confused about Ella’s family. Is Marcus the father she was talking about who was Cecilia’s true love? Because he’s only her step-father. I was under the impression that the mushroom gave Cecilia the poisoned heart curse, being as it was a mushroom from Wonderland, but now I’m not so sure. Unless Ella considered Marcus like her real father because she didn’t have one anymore. Also, if Marcus was the father she was talking about, where were the glowing, true love lockets they wore?
December 9, 2017 at 3:42 pm in reply to: 709 "One Little Tear" Favorite/Least Favorite Moments #344961StahlopParticipantCan someone tell me what the point of putting Rapunzel in a tower was? In the original story it was so the witch could raise her away from others. One Tangled it was to keep her away from others due to her magical hair. In both instances, the witch came back and raised her. In this instance it looks like Rapunzel was just in a tower with all things provided for her and Gothel never came back. So what was the point?
Also, why did Rapunzel never cut her hair previously if there was something in there to cut it with?
