I did hear on a podcast w/Eddy & Adam that people could leave but something bad happened to someone. They pointed out in the show’s pilot when Granny says to Ruby “I’m sorry that my heartache prevented you from sleeping your way up and down the east coast” (Something to that effect). That Ruby had left but had to come back because the bad thing that happened was to Granny (heartache) and not to Ruby herself. Of course I fully admit I may have misunderstood. I know that in S3 we are suppose to find out how Henry made his way to Regina (as well as a few other things) but I cannot think of anyone else who could have procured Henry besides August.
[adrotate group="5"]lorem ipsumParticipantI know that most people think the boy in the prophecy is Henry and it seems obvious that he is. But has anyone mentioned (perhaps somewhere else on the forum) that the boy who will be The Dark One’s Undoing is Pinocchio? Storybrooke now has 2 boys that inadvertently led Rumple back to Bae. Henry in finding Emma but August/Pinocchio (currently a boy) in his interference with Neal and Emma’s relationship. Plus we still don’t know how Mr.Gold procured Henry for Regina. Was he able to leave SB w/o incident as long as he returned? Was he able to leave SB because he had no one to be hurt by his leaving (like Granny & Ruby)? If he wasn’t able to leave, who could have possibly brought Henry from Arizona to SB? August is the only person I can think of. Because no one else would have been able to see SB. How Pinocchio could be Rumple’s undoing I have no idea. Henry could be just by loving him for he is his grandfather. Or by enlisting his help in finding Neal. But with August back as a little boy, so soon after the prophecy episode I just thought here’s another little boy that could fit the prophecy. It’s a stretch I know.
lorem ipsumParticipantI thought the same thing, Henry and Aurora saw each other. Maybe the flames represent a fireplace, like in Harry Potter. Maybe the gang of girls will steal the ashes from Cora, throw some of them on a fire and see SB. Or something like that. Fairy dust maybe.
lorem ipsumParticipantI can’t believe he took the money or maybe I can. August really isn’t an upstanding citizen. I wasn’t keen on August, never did like Pinocchio and now I don’t like him even more. But I agree, he might have had a hand in Henry’s adoption. He could have found out somehow that she was pregnant. I would really like to see Snow kick his butt for abandoning Emma and for taking her place in the wardrobe.

I believe what could of been in the box was the Once Upon a Time Book, and was on the page the picture of Emma as a baby in her baby blanket and Charming putting her in the wardrobe, when Neal saw the blanket he realized Emma has one similar and what August was saying might of been true 😀
That was my first reaction too, that it was the book. But wouldn’t the book have been in Storybrooke with Mary Margaret? Otherwise how or when did she get the book? I always figured the book was in Storybrooke when the curse hit and MM had it the whole time. Otherwise why not just confront Emma and show her the book? (Yeah I know she didn’t believe when Henry showed her but by this time she had been betrayed and brokenhearted. She was a cynic.) August came through with the clothes on his back. Maybe the whale carving? Was there anything in his room at Granny’s, proof of FL that could have been in the box?
lorem ipsumParticipantI do believe in the episode ”Apple as Red as Blood” (or something like that), Regina says to Jefferson “when I brought you over…”. She refers to bringing Jefferson over when she enacted the curse.
lorem ipsumParticipantRegina turning green ala WWofW would be great but I would love to see the Wicked Witch of the West show up and give Regina and Rumple , and even Cora a run for their money in the evil department. She is THE evil from my childhood stories. With Lancelot coming in, is Morgana down the road? Talk about picking between the lesser of multiple evils!

somewhere K&H said that the story of the little mermaid would eventually happened but that for the moment, it was being pushed back because there is already too much ground to cover and since the reveal is in episode 5, I don’t think it’s gonna happen.
Oh, OK. Thanks!!! It was a fleeting thought!
The theory of Dr. Frankenstein is interesting. Does that mean we’ll be seeing Dracula next?
lorem ipsumParticipantI was listening to the last Podcast (i’m a little behind) and listening to everyone’s theory of who is Dr. Whale. With the clues from the show, clues from the FB app, people think he is Ursula. What if he is King Triton? Ariel’s father? I feel like the writers might write Regina as the role of Ursula. Even though I would love to see an Ursula.

I missed the first few episodes of the online group rewatch so I don’t know if this was discussed in the chat but there is one scene in the pilot that confused me at the time and still does. When Emma steps out of her car upon first arriving in Storybrooke, there is a short on the power line in the background just as she slams the car door (you can see a picture of it at http://www.onceuponatimespace.com/pilotComment.html ). It was such a noticeable special effects shot I still wonder why they put it in. I don’t think it was ever explained during the season. Did they just add it for a dramatic effect to accompany the door slam or will it turn out to have some significance? I’m guessing it must be there for a reason. What does everyone else think?
On the audio commentary on the DVD, H&K say that the spark is there to show when Emma sets foot in SB, the town (curse maybe?) notices. It is to show Emma is special.
