ParticipantLiked:
Charming family reunion at the hospital. So sweet!
Henry’s speech to Regina. I liked this one a lot better than the one at the end of 3A.
Hook’s curse being “resolved”
Hook calling Emma out on the NYC nonsense
Regina giving Belle the DO dagger.
Regina being the one to defeat Zelena (seemed fitting) and tapping into light magic because of the love she has let into her heart.
Disliked:
Emma losing her magic. With or without TLK I felt that Emma’s magic should have been stronger than Zelena’s dark magic curse.
Emma not being the one to defeat Zelena – I know this is flip floppy of me because I liked that Regina did but seemed that there was all this build up with Emma learning magic and being the saviour again that resulted in nothing.
Oz stuff – Disliked is probably a bit strong but most of it felt unnecessary. I also think Glinda seemed shady.
More smoke monster
Rumple lying to Belle during his proposal about killing Zelena. I am not even a huge Rumbelle fan and this just ugh. No further comment.

ParticipantI am sooooo excited for the finale. I already told my husband that it is Mother’s Day and I just want to plop my butt in front of the TV for two hours and not be disturbed.
I am still so very confused how the JR plays into all this. Why it is missing, how Killian got to NYC, etc. The time they are going back is when Snowing meets so this is way before the past year. Unless they time travel again I don’t see how they could help Killian get to NYC? I suppose they could do something like have Emma and Killian steal the JR in Snowing meet time and parallel a flashback of what Killian did with the JR in the last year? Anybody have any theories/ideas on how this is all going to go down? I also don’t understand why Snowing meeting gets messed up unless they inadvertently cause a change and then have to work to fix it. When they go back (how?) will everybody they met in the past now have “new” memories about their past? This is why I hate time travel stuff. Seeing Killian in Mr. Darcy-like clothes is totally worth it though haha.
So I still think the last episode was really good for CS even though it didn’t go down how some of us wanted. I am more upset that Emma actually lost her magic then anything else. Her magic should have been stronger than Zelena’s dark magic curse even if it wasn’t a TLK. I am also just a tad frustrated because Emma is just downright delusional (especially about NYC). I think they keep pushing Emma’s delusion regarding going back to NYC in order to illustrate just how crazy she is being and that if she can’t be rational about that how is she going to make rational decisions regarding her love life?
Unless she is going to NYC alone there is no way that is going to happen because Henry for one will refuse to leave and Regina has a right to have her say heard as well. The Charmings are obviously going to side with Regina so it is going to be Emma vs. everyone. I think it is telling that Emma hasn’t made her NYC plans known to Henry OR Regina even though she is quite verbal about it with Killian and even her parents. I am glad that despite looking like a wounded puppy half the time Killian stands up to Emma and calls her out because she REALLY needs to be called out.
I was really hoping Henry would stick up for Killian or even mention him but that clearly didn’t happen. Glad that Charming pulled his head out of his butt even though no apology was offered and it was a quick 180.
I am pregnant so Zelena taking the baby and the direct aftermath gave me mega feels. Poor Snowing. The reunion was so sweet though. I just wish Killian didn’t feel like he had to hang out by the door. Personally I thought Emma’s remark that losing her magic didn’t matter because she wouldn’t need it in NY was the most cutting of the episode and seemed out of place after there very sweet convo directly prior to it. Oh well. A&E like to torture us 😛 I don’t know how I am going to get through this week. It is going to take foooorever!!!!

ParticipantI have very conflicting emotions about this episode. I know some people are mixed about it but I like Regina’s development and I do think it was fitting that she was the one to defeat Zelena. On the other hand it feels like the whole kiss curse was more of a plot device to force Regina to tap into light magic rather then progress CS. I am also disappointed that now there are two “kisses” that were not TLK. It was very obvious though that Emma is not there yet. Her comments to Killian were as usual pretty snarky/insensitive. Girl is fighting it hardcore. I found it unusual that in that whole drowning scene she didn’t try using magic at all..? What was that about?
I keep telling myself it’s gonna happen next episode and it keeps not happening but season finale looks to be the CS Adventure Show so I am going to keep being hopeful. It’s going to happen eventually but it is going to be a lonnnnnng summer if they drag it out into S4.
Oh and if I was a Rumbelle fan I would be sooooo angry. How could they ruin the proposal like that with him lying to Belle’s face during it? Like she isn’t going to figure out he killed Zelena? It is the Regina wraith thing all over again but even worse bc he didn’t even use a loophole he just straight up killed Zelena. I know it looks like it is going to be a Rumbelle wedding but I would be shocked if that happened bc that was an epic break in trust IMO.

ParticipantHoly moly did anybody else see the last “sneak peek”? Almost seems like it was a mistake by Hulu because it was sooooooo spoilery and labeled excerpt not sneak peek. No real CS in it but wow…. this episode is gonna be goooood.

ParticipantFor Rumple I totally understood his reasons for becoming the Dark One. After he became the DO but before Bae left I never really understood why he did what he did. I assumed he was either 1. corrupted with the idea of being all powerful after being so meek and treated as such his whole life shown and/or 2. the darkness of the DO power corrupted him mentally to turn him “evil”. Then after Bae left he reaches absolute low and is willing to sacrifice anyone/anything in order to reach Bae again. Though at this point his goal is noble to a degree the ends do not justify the means.
Regina never made sense to me at all. I get that Snow told her secret but she was a young girl and had good intentions. Cora totally manipulated her and ultimately was the one who killed Daniel. I always felt her extreme anger was very misplaced and of course she killed a lot of innocent people and hurt many others in order to get to Snow.
I find though that OUAT characters interpret/respond to actions a lot differently then I think “normal” people would. Like with the Cora/Eva thing. Eva may not have had pure/good intentions but Cora was doing a bad thing (lying and stealing) and personally I would have told Leopold too. Eva might have enjoyed Cora’s downfall more than she should but I didn’t think it was a *bad* guy thing to do. So Emma’s “I thought our family were the good guys” seemed a little extreme though I understand the purpose was to demonstrate that nothing is black and white and there is a lot of gray. That further fosters the idea of redemption for those on the darker side of gray.
I never truly saw Hook as a villain. He was always an anti-hero to me. He did some bad things but never to the scale of the other villains on the show. At any rate if both Regina and Rumple can be redeemed than Hook certainly can be.
The main similarity I see between Spike and Hook is that both of them are very driven by love. Spike killed people for fun b/c he was a vampire. Obviously Hook isn’t that evil lol.
Really liked this fic about Killian/Emma in 3×20 based off promo and interview

And I hope she dances with Killian in said ballgown (crosses fingers)!

ParticipantI think that is in reference to Killian “was” a villain but not as evil as Spike during his villain days but now he is full on into his redemption arc. The role of villain is past tense not Killian is past tense because he died.

Participant@Rumplegoldfan – That is a really cool theory and would be awesome if it happened!
I keep wondering why it is Emma and Killian in the past. Only other person they showed was Rumple right? I don’t remember. I could totally see Emma falling through and Killian jumping in like with S2 Emma/Snow in the hat. I think it is a fair assumption that Zelena will cast the time traveling spell and she “fails” in that she doesn’t succeed in going back. Why would she cast it to go back to when Snow and Charming meet? Regina is not only born but full on evil queen at that point so ??? Seems unintentional to me. Maybe it works like the bean and takes you to what you are thinking about and Emma was thinking about her parents. A&E truly have me baffled. REALLY looking forward to all the answers though. This season was a lot more mysterious than 3A.

ParticipantI saw this ask on a Tumblr page and it got me thinking about the recent Killian is a prince spoiler.
What if the king that sent Liam and Killian to Neverland was their father?!
As far as I know all we know about Killian’s father is that he abandoned Killian. What if it was kind of a reverse Cora situation where Mama Jones slept with a prince and he refused to acknowledge the baby? That would make Liam his half-brother though. Would be kind of cool if the same ruthless king turned out to be his father but neither the King nor Killian knew it. I still like the Davy Jones idea though.
Just fun wild speculation because I am bored today 🙂

ParticipantWhere’s Emma? Everybody is trying to protect the baby. Regina, Robin, Belle, … even Henry is in the hospital. But Emma and Hook aren’t. Shouldn’t she be helping?
This^ If she is the only one that can stop Zelena why isn’t she the first line of defense for the baby?
