ParticipantI am assuming Aurora was still pregnant. I am 21 weeks pregnant and if I wore a big robe like Aurora wore you would barely be able to tell. Based on my timeline calculation guesses Aurora would be somewhere around 4-5 months. My questions are is Aurora a pregnant monkey or did it kill the baby? If she was still pregnant did Monkey Aurora give birth? She would have been due before the curse was cast. Or maybe if she goes back to being human she will be 4-5 months pregnant still…. her pregnancy got suspended magically or something?
I was surprised they went there with the writing considering they established them as pregnant seemingly unnecessarily and then turned them both into monkeys.

Participant@rumplegoldfan – I saw that theory on tumblr as well. The bottles are definitely different but whether or not that is on purpose or a mistake is definitely questionable. I have issues that are very opposing.
With Regina’s comments about the kingdom being separated as the price for ripping up the original curse how did Hook get out/escape Snowing’s casting of the curse? I always assumed he was outside of the realm at the time of the cursing but now I am not sure if that was possible? Only thing I could think of is that technically he was never really cursed and could therefore somehow get around that.
On the other hand if he was still in the realm, got cursed and drank the potion to remember how did he leave Storybrooke? I thought that was part of the curse that you couldn’t leave? Unless that was a Regina specific thing and that is why Zelena has monkeys guarding the borders because they technically can leave. Or maybe Hook’s ship makes him immune to the can’t leave Storybrooke thing. It would explain though how Zelena/Walsh knew about him and the potion in NYC if he was cursed originally with everyone else.
Overall I like that theory about Hook being cursed too. It is a nice twist. Not sure though how that still fits in the timeline regarding the short time between Hook receiving the potion/the curse being cast and Hook getting to NYC and finding Emma. I would think that it would have been harder for him to get another memory potion than it would be to use his ship (which was already established as being made from enchanted wood) to make a portal somehow. Unless in that huge block of time that is still unaccounted for he was already doing his own thing to get a memory potion (JR trade?) so he had two and then somehow got to NYC from Storybrooke without Zelena’s monkeys getting him.
A&E are certainly good at creating mystery. The only thing I am really convinced of is that Hook traded/gave up the JR for SOMETHING in order to get to Emma or help her remember.

ParticipantI really liked this meta. Summed up a lot of my feelings.
I am confused about the timeline!!! Help! So the curse is cast. Zelena messes with it then goes to make herself and Rumple the memory potions. Right after Neal sends the message/potion to Hook. From what was said when CS first arrived in Storybrooke it seemed like the curse JUST happened. So maybe no more than a week between Hook getting the potion, getting to Emma, making her remember (which took at least 2 days) and then getting back to Storybrooke?? Thoughts on this?
My timelines guess…?
1 month – Hook tells the Charmings he was always a pirate and takes off presumably to rebuild a crew and find the Jolly Roger
3 months – Hook has a skeleton crew doing “Land Pirating”. Meets up with Ariel and chooses his ship over heroism/love. Does not appear to believe in love.
4-12 months – ?????
~12 months – Hook gets message/potion
~12 months + a few days?? – ?????
~12 months + ~week: Hook finds Emma and believes that Emma is his TL enough to immediately try TLK. Hook has somehow separated from his crew, which resulted in them getting cursed but not him. Jolly Roger is MIA again.
I have a feeling we are only going to see Hook receiving the potion/message and doing whatever he does to get to Emma. That still leaves a huge chunk of time unrevealed and no clear reason why he went from not believing in love to believing Emma is his TL. Seems like a big leap and I don’t think his regrets over Ariel are enough of a reason for him to think TLK is going to work?
I love this show but sometimes it makes me go cross-eyed trying to figure out the timelines.

ParticipantTheories on what happens to Killian? My bets are he jumps in front of Emma to save her from some magical attack Zelena throws.

ParticipantSo I re-watched the episode last night. I actually really loved the episode except for the Killy scene with the Charming family. I don’t necessarily think Emma was OOC but can the man get a break? Seriously? I can understand her being upset but she is being a huge hypocrite and I think her saying she can’t trust him anymore took it way too far. I also noticed she was inconsistent with what she called him. When Zelena first took Henry and blamed it on him Emma said something like “Hook what is she talking about?” while after Zelena was gone and she confronts him she calls him Killian. Any thoughts on why she did that?
It feels like the Charming family took on the role of the Hook Haters in the show this episode. What exactly were they accusing him of doing/lying about with regards to the message? Did they really think he could be working with Zelena to bring Emma back to Storybrooke? How does that make ANY sense when she obviously had her own plan to deal with Emma (Walsh). Instead of calmly discussing it like adults they had to assume the worst that Hook was double crossing them. I wonder if it will ever actually come out who sent the message? The only person at this point that can reveal it is Rumple and his remembrance of it is questionable as well.
After all of that I can totally see Hook “giving up” in a way. All of that progress he worked so hard to achieve with Emma was wiped away instantaneously despite him doing his best in a bad situation. Emma should be thanking her lucky stars Hook intercepted Henry while he was running away but of course that information was conveniently left out… It always felt like Henry wasn’t properly protected because Emma insisted on lying to him. Ugh I am so annoyed. I really don’t care about there not being TLK but this was such a huge unnecessary step backwards. As I said before though at least based on the promo he is still part of the group despite his lack of “trustworthiness”
If the kingdoms were separated how did Hook escape the curse?
On a positive note I do think this is all just angst for plot purposes. I don’t doubt that Hook/Emma are true loves. The payoff will be sweet once it finally happens 🙂 Hopefully we get something next week!
The promo looked intense. Looks like Zelena does get her hands on the baby and Hook is hurt somehow. Would be interesting if he gets injured protecting Emma or one of her family members. The writers have basically created the situation where Hook really can’t do anything else to prove himself to Emma aside from sacrifice his own life to save her/someone she cares for. I wonder how Dorothy plays into all this?

ParticipantInitial thoughts…
Uh sooo Aurora and Phillip are monkeys? What does that mean for the baby since she was pregnant?
I saw the foreshadowing with Regina and Robin regarding the sharing one heart. Snow and Charming casting the curse was still a hard scene to watch..
did Emma lie and say she didn’t see the book when she did? Need to rewatch.
Happy to see Neal sent the message to Hook.
Okay with there being no TLK but thought Emma saying she can’t trust Killy was harsh. Wish he would have mentioned that Zelena threatened to kill her family if he told. Looks like that doesn’t last long since he is seen in the group with their weapons drawn and he looks to get injured at some point with Emma right by him.
first time we saw monkeys die? First thought was hope that wasn’t Philora…
overall I liked the episode but I was hoping for more answers (like how Hook got back to Emma.) I am glad Emma wasn’t forced to kiss Hook in order to save Henry.

ParticipantJenna – “I feel like there’s more going dowm with Hook and Neal. I’m not convinced Neal’s memories were gone , more like skewed because he’s sharing a body with dear old dad. It just seemed like Hook and Neal’s conversation had more subtext we just don’t have all of the pieces to understand fully yet.”
I agree with this. I think Hook having some secret about Neal seems more likely than him casting the curse. Maybe he is keeping quiet in order to honor Neal’s memory or not re-open wounds since Neal just passed away. I know Neal used dark magic to rez Rumple but I thought Hook’s line “how does it feel to be a villain?” seemed a little harsh based on just the assumption that Neal used some dark magic. Hopefully we get a lot of answers next episode because I find with each episode I have far more questions than answers.

ParticipantSneak Peek!!
Eek! Hook tied up in a car! Rumple probably liked being “forced” to do that job 😛 Nothing really informative in that sneak peek though.

Participant@rumplegoldfan – Yeah that is why I do somewhat buy into the Hook cast the curse theory despite my quibbles. He seems very secretive/suspicious in some ways. I don’t think the table bump was purposeful though like some think… what Cora could reveal about his past year is questionable at best.
Based on this recent episode and Zelena apparently wanting to get rid of Eva in order to trigger her desired series of events does anybody have any thoughts/theories on why the time travel episodes seem to center around the time period Snow/Charming meet?
