actually Emma WAS hurtful and I DID want to smack her
in the echo cave.
which is the only time, really. and then she actually did kill him. wow and this is their idea of a fun half season…

Emma’s relationship with Neal is exactly like Nealfire’s relationship with his father. Neal was hurting even more than Emma was about leaving her and knowing she was in jail and not being able to do anything about it. Rumple was hurting even more than Bae when he knew how alone he was and (especially because he KNEW the feeling of being abandoned by his father himself) he couldn’t do anything about it. (there is no greater pain than regret) so yeah, Bae was angry, justifiably, but he was also hurtful.
when Emma said “I don’t want to hear it” and Neal said “but I have to say it” she did listen, because she DID really WANT to hear it. she loved him no matter how much it hurt. (AND he was still engaged to Tamara btw) she listened. Gold did not even have another child. he never just went on with life. he just looked for Bae. couldn’t Bae just listen?
right after he found out Pan was his grandfather, he change COMPLETELY towards his papa. this is PROOF that all that hurtful behavior was a direct result of Pan brainwashing Bae that Rumple hated him, and that he was dark and chose darkness over Bae etc.
I bet if Bae was not in NEVERLAND for 300 years, he would have also listened. just like Emma did
you know what with all your discriptions of Emma, youre making me less scared to watch the episodes…. maybe I should watch them and judge for myself if I think Neal will come back or not

Rumple should have told Bae about Pan. He should have told Bae about his struggle with the Dark Dagger, not just “well, I saved a thousand children” and then crush a guy/snail to death in front of him or tell him almost straight out “I killed our maid” no matter how much he really did all that to protect Bae, it was very terrifying, and he should have been more open about what he did and why. Maybe then Bae would have helped him fight this curse
but it doesn’t take away from the fact that Bae DID hurt his father pretty badly.
I hope you see where I’m coming from…
I don’t mean to say that Bae is BAD, just that his behavior was a little hurtful. maybe Rumple deserved it, but it was still hurtful.
no one here agrees to that? am I the only one who sees it this way?

you know what? I don’t think a lot of people realize just how powerful the love of a parent is towards his/her child. I think the main reason I loved the Harry Potter books had a lot to do with the love Lily had for Harry, even though it wasn’t really developed.

I would hope that even if you hated Neal you would think it was sad and not at all joyful

it all started when PoM said that Neal fans are hoping that all the characters suffer
It’s my fault because *I* said that since they killed the main character in the story, the main person who should get the happiest ever after, the ONLY natural conclusion to such a tragic tragedy is if Gold is forced to kill Henry and Belle, and Emma can’t even save Henry because she is busy trying to save her dying parents and then she finds out that Gold killed her son. Regina kills herself, and belle tells Emma that Regina is lucky she can kill herself, Gold couldn’t even do THAT
so PoM said that I want horrible things to happen to all the characters because Neal “died”. (for the record, I don’t *want* it to happen, I just expect it because it’s a tragic story) and I am a Neal fan.
so I wanted to make it clear that I am NOT a flapping-hands-jumping-up-and-down-every-time-Neal-is-onscreen Neal fan. doesn’t mean I don’t like Neal. I am also not swanfire in the sense that I want them kissing on screen all day. I don’t. and if a rumbelle fan means that I want them kissing on screen, then I aint a rumbelle fan either. I don’t “ship” because I am not a fan of kissing. (a-sexual in that sense I guess lol or maybe I just have no patience for “romance” – was never a fan of that genre)
and as much as I love Gold’s character, I don’t care if RC has to leave the show and they replace Gold with another actor or something, and I also wouldn’t mind having Gold die and stay dead. just because I love a character doesn’t man I want them to live. it’s a story after all, not real life. these are NOT REAL PEOPLE.
so I can’t be accused of hating people in their own house, because I don’t hate, I’m just loving this show differently than other people. while some people love this show for the “ships” or the actors, I love this show (loved it, till 311) for the STORY. that’s it. if there was a thread that sits and mourns the death of the great STRY that waonce OUAT, I would probably belong there lol.
I do apologize to all of you wonderful people on this thread, because I do really love you all. this thread is what helps me get over this painful death of story that I mourn, because of some politics on ABC or whatever.
oh, and just because I don’t “ship” doesn’t mean I didn’t enjoy how beautiful and poetic Emma and Neal’s relationship is. and just because I am not a Neal fan doesn’t mean I don’t love his character and all the sacrifices he made for the people he loves.
speaking of sacrifices this show became less about love and happiness, and a lot more about martyrs putting up with crap and sacrificing for NOTHING
