I understand your rant but I do think you have to keep one thing in mind: time.
nnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnNope. sorry, RG, this has nothing to do with time. snowing and Emma never paid a visit. it was obvious from the shock on Belle’s face that anyone was even in the shop at all.
this has nothing to do with screen time or “moments”. to be honest, as much as I would have liked some acknowledgement that Gold saved them all countless times, I DON’T want them to sit there and cry over him. it would be boring.this rant was NOT about A&E’s lack of telling a good story. on the contrary, if they can make such annoying characters as the ultimate definition of “good” while the villains as the only ones who have a real heart, kudos to them! it is the most intriguing show on TV BECAUSE of that!
this rant was why I love this show! I am ranting about the “good” Charmings, and the “savior” Emma who give a lot more love to Regina who abused them more than anyone else, simply because she is beautiful (she is) and because she is more socially active. she expects them to love her, so they do. remember that party where Snow and Emma returned safely from the EF? she was upset that they didn’t make her feel even MORE loved and more accepted. while Gold wasn’t even invited and he was the one who helped them get there. (come on it all happened in GOLD’S SHOP after all) lol. but did Gold expect an invitation? not at all! he was more than happy to stay home with Belle and not be interrupted for a few hours.
He is ugly and unloved so no one will ever consider him to be a person with feelings. he is like that kid in school who is ugly and friendless, the one who is the butt of everyone’s jokes, but is always approached with requests to copy from his homework. he is nothing but a means to an end for everyone. a beast indeed.
so it comes naturally, that his only best friend, Belle, will be ignored or looked down upon.
see? this is why I love this show.

@ sage of earth… I really like your theory that Neal is the one who gave her hope. without him saying that maybe Gold is not dead she wouldn’t think of that possibility…
@keb, youre right. it doesn’t have to be legal… I liked her as the librarian, and was disappointed when Henry went get a book, but I prefer that she takes care of his shop, because it gives off such sad rumbelle feels…..I can see what they are trying to do here… the parallel of how Rumpelstiltskin told Charming “she died” and she tells Zelena “he died” but I think this is not that good a parallel because when she died he loved her dearly but they didn’t know each other the way they do now.
the relationship between them is so different. the pain she feels is so much more enormous than the pain he felt when he thought she died…
plus she “saw” him die and he saved her life in the process and oh the feels are so much stronger this time, that when she says that he died… it’s doesn’t really parallel at all…
maybe Zelena wants the same thing that Jafar wanted: her mother’s love. or revenge on her mother or something so shell get cora back from the dead just to punish her?
o gawd this title is so sweet it’s rotting my teeth!

oooooooooooh yeah! I’d love to see him beating her up with his cane! and I hope Belle doesn’t stop him this time! not if she knew what Zelena had done to him in that cage

I think this curse has been hijacked from regina. just like the protection spell around her castle has been hijacked. this is probably why she wanted Regina’s blood: to hijack the curses
