do you guys know the Oz story of the Tin Man
Originally an ordinary man by the name of Nick Chopper (the name first appearing in The Marvelous Land of Oz), the Tin Woodman used to make his living chopping down trees in the forests of Oz, as his father had before him. The Wicked Witch of the East enchanted his axe to prevent him from marrying the girl that he loved, after being bribed by the lazy old woman who kept the girl as a servant, and did not wish to lose her.

At this time I am not convinced Charming is the cowardly lion.
No he’s not. She isn’t turning them into those characters. They are the *REVERSE* characters. And Zelena is taking those traits that make up those classic characters. He isn’t the Cowardly Lion. He’s the brave lion, and now Zelena has a token of his heroism. Still don’t know why she wants it, but that’s the goal—take the traits from those who have it most.
It not just that, if this is what the writer are aiming for than this would be the worst twist in the show. Heck it even worse than Snow pulling out “Fake” Excalibur, because the point of the story of oz that you don’t need any kind of symbol to brain, courage or heart that the individual always had it within them the entire time. If anything I can see some sort of psychological damage being done, but having magic be the cause feels like a cheat.
Beside I had to put my money on anyone being these character it would be Rumple, because he actually believes himself believe he a coward, he deserve not to be loved, and now we are seeing him loose his mind. If it isn’t Rumple then they should be their own character they are popular enough for it.
Trust me I feel bad for not supporting this theory, since I know there are though that do. I keep thinking about the cowardly lion and how even when he proved he had courage he still believe himself to be a coward. Despite what everyone around him think he still believe himself to be a coward. This isn’t a character who lost courage, because of magic, but a chracter who believe he never had it.

I can’t. I just can’t. I watched that dumb promo again and realized that there’s a beating heart in the whole background noise, and Bealfire is being controlled too… Why is this bothering me so much?? I hate Zelena! poor Emma now has to see her true love suffer this way? now she will have to run from him, just like Belle will have to run from Rumple? this is so not cool!

so did Cora hook up with a drunkard who was just like her father? likely… after all, Rumpel married a girl who was just like HIS father…or like you say, it can be magic… Malcolm traded his beloved son for a chance to “get high” (literally) and convinced himself that he never even loved him in the first place (something an abuser would do), maybe magic is really that addicting
