Because all children want their parents love.

um… yeah… but if I were Jafar, Sultan was nothing but a sperm donor. Jafar HAD parents who loved him. they were dead, but he HAD love. to try to make a stranger (ok his biological father, but still a stranger for all he ever knew) love him like a parent, I mean it’s just weird… especially if he shows him that he wants no part of that!

again, I compare him to Rumpelstiltskin, where his biological father was ALL HE HAD, this was it for him, he knew no other parental love so when he suddenly became Pan and began to HATE him, I would UNDERSTAND if he would try to change the rules of magic and try to force him to love again, but Jafar? he never even KNEW the guy… he was nothing to him until a few days before trying to kill him.

SOMETHING is off with him. I bet Sultan recognized his mother who might have been some sort of a witch who made him give her a baby (Jafar) and sultan never loved her. maybe she forced Sultan in some way. I bet sultan wanted to make the world a better place by killing Jafar, maybe he saw something in him that was dangerous…

I’m sorry, I just don’t understand Jafar at all! Why does he even need his father’s love? he didn’t even know the guy existed, or that he was his father before his mother told him at age… what age was he? 9? 10? well, anyway, He already HAD another father which he thought was his, and was dead, so why does he WANT the sultan to love him?? it’s just it boggles my mind!!

Take Pan for example, He raised his son until age 7 or 8 or so, right? and He looked like he truly loved his son, if you look at the body language in “think lovely thoughts”, he did love Rumpelstiltskin, he really DID, and Rumpelstiltskin felt it and really, this Pan was the only father he knew. when he suddenly turned around and abandoned him, and then told him he didn’t regret it and never ever loved him, I can SEE why HE would act like Jafar and try to force that love BACK. but Sultan NEVER LOVED HIM he never even KNEW him, so WHY WHY WHY would Jafar even CARE???

therefore I do agree with KFC, there’s SOMETHING else THERE

(gah! now I’m all feels… that kiss at the end right before they died together… you think Pan got ANY of that love back or did he die believeing he hated his son?)

RG, no this isn’t true, seeing Rumpel in his FTL clothes is not spoilery at all. we are used to seeing flashbacks in this show, and we all know that Bobby is still on OUAT payroll so this does not mean that Gold is alive at all. for the casual viewer it simply means that although Gold is dead we will still see some flashbacks. (after all weve seen plenty of flashbacks after Graham was dead and after Henry Sr. was dead.

now, for US, it might be more spoilery because WE know he is alive 🙂

ahhhhh, interesting… like when the Blue Fairy was Cora in disguise? but Blue is not the type to do that. she is GOOD and all… No, I bet Morraine just missed Baelfire after he was gone, and never came by to talk to Rumpelstiltskin because they had nothing to talk about, then she grew up and eventually died of old age…

Hello Shir! My favorite is Regina too, Regina and Rumpelstiltskin. those are by far my most favorite ones but yes I love Ruby too because she is little red riding-hood and that was my favorite story when I was a little child. I remember I wouldn’t eat unless my mother told me the story of little red riding-hood for the thousandth time. and of course I love Emma, who doesn’t? she is the product of true love 🙂 and of course I love Neal too, because Gold and Emma love him. but I can’t say I’m not a little mad at him for not trusting his papa 😮
so welcome to the forums and enjoy the speculations! 🙂

that enchanted tree is very confusing… at first I thought that Rumpel knew about the tree and told Blue about it or lue find out somehow. and then they kept changing things… first Snow and Emma were supposed to go into the tree before Emma was born, then Pinoccio took one’s place… I was thinking that maybe Snow AND Charming were originally supposed to go into the tree before Emma would be born so that they BOTH raise her and bring her to storybrook to break the curse. but I don’t know anymore

yeah I never doubted that it was Rumpel who made that riding hood for Red, because Granny asked for it. I bet it was the wrong thing to do for Red, because she should have been able to learn how to control her instincts instead of rely on a red hood.

Milah is disliked by most people because the first time we see her, she is being mean to peasant Rumple, and everybody loves Rumple, so immediately the audience is being set up to dislike Milah.

I don’t hate her for being mean to Rumpel.. she doesn’t HAVE to stay in love with someone I hated her because she didn’t CARE about her child. and because I think she instigated Hook to be bully because SHE was such a bully herself.
    .
and Once_dude, she didn’t have to ask why he left the Ogre wars, he TOLD her. because she was pregnant. “all for the boy” he said
