He couldn’t even bring himself to tell Belle, and he could tell her anything… Hook stabbed him in manhattan, Gold didn’t even try to fight back. He looked at Hook in the eye and was probably thinking “this is how I deserve to die. I killed Milah” so, I think he was already held accountable for that, although I doubt he feels any less guilty for having lost his temper and killed her. (i am sure he did love her so it must really hurt)

Hey, this is just like Cinders said: role reversal. Gold was the one plotting and helping everyone while Belle was locked up and NOW Belle is the one planning and helping while HE is locked up… Hey, cinders, did you see this one?

I think when Gold kissed his father it was to show that he forgave him. no hard feelings, papa. even though you hate me, and I have to die because of you, and even though you took everything I ever loved away from me, now you are dying… now you are scared and I will help you not be so scared. I forgive you because you are my papa and you once loved me.
