Hey welcome! I LOVE Lana and I love Regina! I don’t care for outlaw queen yet because I haven’t seen them interact but I really CAN’T WAIT to see that! hope you join the discussions!
[adrotate group="5"]It’s a hard spoiler to figure out, based on everything we know. I’ve explained my reasons for each of the Bottom Three (Neal, Hook, and Belle), and with that said, I believe it’s Hook. Rumple told Bae that he would have a happy ending, just not with him. That should immediately exclude Neal from the running. Belle is a determined person, so she will work to find Rumple. She can’t just DIE after that!
As for Rumple’s death, let me reiterate the Golden TV Rule of Death: No Body, no Death!
about this “no body no death” thing. what exactly could they do at that time?? if there WAS a body, these are the problems they would have run into:
1) Belle would be crying over his body, they would have to somehow have some sort of a funeral which they had no time for. there was no TIME before the curse hit to deal with a body, no matter what.
2) where would they put the body? under Malcolm’s body? over it? I mean come on, either way it’d be ridiculous!
3) we would have to deal with who would take that knife out of them, and see the name erased etc. and again there was no TIME and how would they open Gold’s grip on that dagger etc. would be a bit freaky
4) and how would they both fall?
just some of the problems….
I need this to happen. That’s all.

I think someone will have to sacrifice himself for a swap. in other words, someone will be willing to die so that Rumpelstiltskin will become undead.
there are only two people in the world who’d be willing to do that: Bae and Belle.
so maybe Bae decides to do that and Hook finds out, and because Hook loves Bae, he will take his place. I think that would be the biggest redemption for Hook, because if he just dies for Emma it would be meaningless. after hurting the floof family so many times in so many ways, it would be interesting to see him sacrifice himself for the one person that he was obsessed about killing for centuries.
all of those who think that Hook should do something heroic…. I am not sure I like that. he has been pretty horrible throughout the story:
1)ripping Bae’s mom away from him (even though I’m sure SHE was the guilty one here, he KNEW she had a son so why didn’t he al least convince her that she should visit sometime. it’s not like Rumpel was the dark one then it’s not like there would have been any danger AT ALL! until Bae turned 14 and was going to be taken to his death.
2) he bullied everyone (Rumpel pretended to be a nobody when bumping into Hook and before Hook realized he crossed paths with the Dark One himself, he was very cruel to him and bullied him
3)he hurt Belle multiple times. he would have thought nothing of killing her if Regina didn’t stop him
4) he sided with Cora, who would have killed Snow/Emma/Mulan/Arora and ripped Arora’s heart,
the list can go on and on, and all of this was to get revenge and kill Rumpel. so to suddenly have him become the saint… I just don’t know… there’s still so much he needs to apologize for!
the only way it can maybe happen or that he would give his life for anyone is if they give him first a lot of screen time to talk about his regret and maybe have him learn something from Rumpel’s example.
maybe now, that he isn’t blinded by Milah and revenge, he can think with his head on straight and realize that it’s always been Rumpel who truly loved Bae, not Milah. he’d realize that it’s always been Rumpel who was the brave one, who sacrificed EVERYTHING – even his good name (became the village coward)- for his son, (not to mention his dignity – [he didn’t duel with hook so that Bae would at least have a father if not a mother]- and his soul – [he became the Dark One], and then his life) and that it was really Milah and himself who were the cowards.
if Hook doesn’t understand this and admit to it, I don’t see him as a hero no matter what. a true hero takes a step back and acknowledges his mistakes and admits that his former enemies are better than him.
Oooh! Maybe Hook will do something that will bring Gold back. Maybe someone will have to sacrifice their life in order to save Gold from some terrible fate, maybe a fate worse than death of some sort, and Hook, who probably feels bad for destroying Rumpelstiltskin’s life (who knows what OTHER deals he made with Pan that were meant to hurt Rumpelstiltkin? maybe even before he met Milah?) what can possibly be a more COMPLETE redemption than to give another chance at life to the one who he spent his entire life trying to destroy?
I’m not trying to be petty, I just would feel aweful if Neal dies, because for a show about hope, etc. it’s aweful to have Neal die, who tried to do so much, without an happy ending?
oh I’m with you on that one. unless they leave Gold where he is: dead. not because I’m petty either, but I think he has suffered enough. and I won’t want to see anymore of that. “lovely thoughts” gave me a stomach ache and I’ve been depressed about this show ever since. so really. just no more of that…

She had a destiny to fulfill. He knew that. He had to leave her alone until the Curse was broken because he had to save the 1000s under Regina’s curse.
couldn’t he just take her to SB himself 10 years early?
