ParticipantRegina wakes up and the first word she utters is “Emma?”
all the Regina/Emma moments *feels!*
My two most favorite characters in this show = Regina and Rumpel and they had nice moments *sigh*
Rumpel’s last lesson to Regina (where did revenge get you? and villain’s don’t get happy endings) *heartbreak* Rumpel is NOT a villain, he was a hero who fought and never succumbed totally to the dark curse for centuries!
now we know what being a hero looks like (not what Henry did but what Rumpel did)
Belle made Rumpel stronger, better able to fight that dark curse
Snow telling Emma that she’s touched everyone’s lives so did Rumpel in a much deeper way
how Rumpel never forgot Bae and never stopped counting because he held on to hope (unlike Bae who lost hope in that cave)Didn’t like how Pan was telling Rumpel how he hated him
I didn’t like the close-up of rumple and his father, they should have given us a view from the other’s POV
hook finding Emma and telling her that her family is in danger. where has Neal been all that year? why didn’t he come with Hook?[adrotate group="5"]Marty McFly
Participantoooh thanks obisgirl. something to watch while nursing a broken heart

Participantwhen they were talking about the black fairy’s wand I remembered Cinderella and how rumple told her that the wand he was holding was “pure evil” but that couldn’t have been the black fairy’s wand… robin hood stole it…

ParticipantI think that Rumples killed them with the Dagger but who kill the DO with the Dagger is the next DO. If it was so easy to get rid of the curse Zoso would have killed himslef, but he couldn’t so Rumple is alive. I think the paradox and the act of love he did for sacrafiing him and give his dad a TL Kiss is what let him survive, but kill the DO curse. I think he is in the scroll. The next who cast the curse save Rumple, who is captured like in the Pandora Box.
I think with this sacrfice he also make clear which way you can break the next curse, with a loving father and a son. So my guess is on robi and Roland. They will get their memories back fast, but who is the villian and why did the curse was cast is now the Question.
LONG LIVE OUR BELOVED RUMPLESTILTSKIN
(Villians like you deserve their Happy Endings)
maybe this is why they keep saying the word “hope” I bet Rumpel is their only hope at some point when everything seems bleak and wwow is winning, Rumpel shows up with Belle or something

ParticipantWhat are your theories about Rumpel not actually being dead? I’ve got one:
Rumpel was wearing the cuff when he stabbed Pan with the dagger. The cuff stops all magic within a person and the dagger works sort of like an Athame from charmed (its a dagger that can suck out magic). So here’s my theory. Rumpel wears the cuff,, stabs pan. The dagger sucks out all of pans magic, turns him old and kills him. Sure rump stabs himself but he doesn’t have magic because of the cuff so he doesn’t die like Zoso or any other dark one when stabbed with the dagger. Instead he gets a very serious wound like Charming did in S1. Pan using the last bit of magic he has left poofs them somewhere else. Maybe Oz. Maybe NL. Maybe the EF. Who knows >> but the point is, Rumpel could be alive… I totes lost my train of thoughts on this theory >_< anyway! Share!!! [/quote] I like this theory but not the wounded theory. I think he might be stuck in some fate (maybe like a Pandora's box or something where only Belle can rescue him. by giving him back his magic or something

ParticipantAlright after having a night to sleep on it I’m still upset but I know that Rumple really isn’t dead. That would be suicide for the show and it’s supposed to be about happy endings – him saying “villains don’t get happy endings” should be a clue/foreshadowing that he’s not really dead, because this show is about proving the exact opposite of that. And how can there be a happy ending for Belle if her true love is dead?
and this is why I agree that there could be a way for Belle to rescue him from whatever fate he’s in (assuming he isn’t dead) because HE IS NOT A VILLIAN
Marty McFly
ParticipantWell obviously he’s not dead and I have a few reason that could back me up.
1. He’s a main character
5. Rumple brings in the ratings his biggest alley right now are the studio execs who want to make a load of money.
Kudos to the writers who are not afraid to write a good story EVEN if it means killing a main character!
and “good story” doesn’t even come close to describing how epic this isMarty McFly
ParticipantI think becoming the dark one was his only chance against his father. that’s why he had to protect Bae. I bet Honora was working for pan and drew a picture of the dagger to show him. I bet he tired to stop her sending that picture to pan but failed which is how August had it in the first place.
the guy he turned into a snail might have had something to do with pan as well.I have a feeling that Rumpel has been the hero all along fighting evil, and not only fighting external evil, but internal as well. I think the dark one’s curse was this self preservation that was at an insane level, because after all, being Rumpelstiltkin in itself, living his life, is a fate worse than death. he struggled with that DO curse heroically, all this time knowing that the price of HIS magic was not only (like Emma said) never having a day off, but never being appreciated, never being loved, (well, Belle managed to almost break that curse) and always fighting for people who don’t trust him, and in the end, won’t even remember him.
It had to take great heroic strength to fight that DO self preservation curse, and this is why Pan never feared it – even though he KNEW that Rumpelstiltskin has a way of killing him, he also knew that the DO curse was too strong and that his weak son would never overcome it. I think it is Belle who helps him throw off that curse in the end and be able to do the thing he has meant to do for years (who knows, maybe he wanted to do this since the beginning, since the first day he’d become the DO and found out that it’s a way to kill Pan)he did stop the Ogre wars, (and I bet Pan had a hand in those Ogre wars – probably for entertainment because he was so bored) and he probably knew that the only way to save his son from Pan was to use dark magic. so when he killed Zoso he knew what he was doing, but he DIDN’T know that his becoming the DO will come at the price of never wanting to die and always struggling to stay good without a day off etc
Poor Rumpel
I hated the way Bae was so unemotional. Even Emma felt sad and Snow. they never even liked Rumpel
Marty McFly
ParticipantDid everyone notice how Rumple kissed Malcolm in the moment right before they both disappeared? Just wanted to make sure no one missed that, because I don’t wanna be suffering suffering with the angst of that on my own. I wonder if that was a random (genius) acting choice by Bobby, or something that was actually scripted? If it was scripted, I have to wonder if it might have some significance for Rumple’s fate. Even in that moment where he was murdering his father, there was still love and forgiveness there in some measure.
I think he has always loved his father and that’s why he said to Belle that he has to be a monster for what he must do (kill his father). I also think that he has always been a hero but an unsung hero that everyone mistrusts, dislikes, fears, and in the end, no one even remembers.
(the mistrusting him part always bugged me. he was the most terrifyingly honest character I’ve ever seen or read about, ever)Marty McFly
ParticipantThere’s no coming back from death. this is one thing that Rumpel taught us when he sponsored Dr. Frankenstein’s work.
don’t worry, we will see him in flashbacks. -
