I’m really curious about Rumple’s undoing though, as A & E said he’s going to learn the hard way what that is. I don’t think it’s death but can it really be losing his curse? Can they take away his powers in season 3? I mean he’s one of the big driving forces of the show and without his powers….what’s he going to do for the rest of the series? His whole primary struggle is choosing power or love.
Unless he still can do magic even after he’s not the Dark One anymore..why does everyone insist on thinking he will lose his dark powers? that wouldn’t be HIS undoing, but his dagger’s. if he will learn “the hard way” and if he specifically went on that ship expecting to die for henry in honor of Bae, the hard way does NOT sound like losing powers. that’s an easy thing to lose rather than life. I’m thinking his “undoing” is a fate worse than death.
he said in “the queen is dead” that he is “full of love” THIS may be the thing they will undo for him. his humanity, maybe. may be they will do a Peeta from the hunger games, where he becomes someone wanting to kill everyone he once loved[adrotate group="5"]@Gypsy wrote:

If the seer came from Nederland PP (or whoever runs Nederland) can see future as well. remember Rumpel said “but you’re a child” when he saw her?

Yes!!!!! for a while now I was thinking that August was a very bad boy during this backstory that wasn’t shown yet. for example when he did not give Emma the money that Balefire (Neil) sent, and that he wanted them to separate completely. he OBVIOUSLY knew that Rumpelstiltskin was looking for his son, and that it was the reason he cast the curse in the first place, so why not just send Emma along with Neil to Story-Brooke? or something…
another thing, What if the “seer” was really not a seer at all but a girl from Neverland who was mutilated by PP (or whoever runs that place) so that she looks like a creepy seer and she knew that Mila was having a baby already she also knew who Rumple was (maybe he WAS in Never-land as a boy and she knew all about him) maybe she also knew that they were riding and that the seats were called cows etc. so she made it sound as if it’s all true. she might have even told that other guy that he must call Rumpelstiltskin to watch her because she knew who he was!!!
maybe it was August who made a deal with PP as the only way out of there so that Balefire could leave Never-Land with him on the condition that when he grows up he should break the curse and bring the dagger to PPwhats up with Rumpel’s love life? Mila Cora and Belle are such completely different people. If Rumpel was Regina he would have taken Cora’s box and controlled her like Regina did the huntsman. why didn’t he? does it prove that he really did love her? and if he truly loved her why didn’t he change when he kissed her? but he needed her daughter for the curse so why didn’t he control her heart for that purpose? I don’t think he’s a very bad person.
the curse required a heart from “the thing you love most” is that why he ttook Mila’s heart and when he realized that she was not the thing he loved most he crushed it?

Again sorry if this is old talk but again I’m still new here and don’t have the time to go over every forum to see if this has been previously discussed.

This is a guy who is extremely possessive, who collects objects and values them highly (if as nothing else, tools for getting what he wants). He tells Belle he loves his things, and the evidence that he does is pretty strong. In fact, once he comes to associate the chipped cup with her, he seems to value it even unconsciously (before it becomes his most cherished object).
And yet he tells her it’s just a cup. We see that when she’s crying and, like most guys in the face of a crying woman, he looks for a moment like he’s at a complete loss for what to do. (Seriously. I’m an emotional girl and I’ve seen this probably way more than I should admit.) Thus the pillow. I think if someone had pilfered the cup or intentionally damaged it–even before it had any significance to him–he wouldn’t have been so dismissive. But because she’s distressed about it, he dismisses it.

this is interesting. I agree about how Rumple tried to convince her that he was evil it was so funny.
but later ,in a more serious tone, belle tells him “no matter how thick you make your skin”Hey I just thought of something…
what if this skin thing he’s got is a curse he put on himself to find out how bad he is? like every time he lets the dagger take control of him and does something evil his skin gets worse. kind of like every time pinocchio lied his nose grew.
the reason I am convinced that he put it on himself is because the other dark one had no skin problem“all five favorite characters and prince Charming” lol!!
WHY DID REGINA LOCK BELLE UP???????they never addressed that storyline and it’s the only thing that drives me insane!! 😡
I think Rumple will be “undone” by peter pan. peter pan probably doesn’t want a good “dark one” Rumple is a very good person, and very loving. he loved Mila and was excited to start a family with her, he loved his son Belfire, he loved Cora and then he fell in true love with Belle. he falls in love way too easily for a dark one.
Rumplestiltskin loved his wife and son, that’s what drove him to injure himself so he would come home and raise his own son, it drove him to become the dark one, it drove him to get the power to see the future from that girl and to try and get a curse made. he even used “true love” to bring magic to storybrooke (that can’t be dark magic)
maybe zozo chose him for that reason. he could have chosen ANYONE to become the dark one. who wouldn’t want to have so much power?? He chose a good guy because he was hoping that Rumple might be able to contain its’ (the dagger’s) evilness by countering it with some of his (rumple’s) good. even as the dark one he managed to love and be a generally good person (except for the times that he let that dark power take over) and it was only those split-second decisions (like letting go of Belfire or killing Mila) that he did because the dark curse got hold of him. (the decision to let go of Belfire was regretted immediately even though it was too late to change that)
not only that but he used his dark powers to stop the Ogre Wars which were ripping children from their parents and men from their loved ones for generations! no other “dark one” ever did that!
his undoing might mean that Pan will pull all of that goodness out of him so that he will be a proper “Dark one” maybe he will undo his good which even the dagger couldn’t undo
