ModeratorWhile I don’t think that OUAT will be cancelled, I won’t be surprised if they move the show to a different night. While the ratings are relatively good, 1.3-1.5 is not a good lead in for a night and it won’t give a chance to new shows that will air after OUAT, just as we saw this year with Blood and Oil and Quantico.
I’m not so sure where else they could really air it. Once Upon a Time is considered a “family show” (yes, I’m aware that could be debated, due to what the show has depicted and gotten away with, but it has a TV-PG rating as opposed to TV-14 or TV-MA. Plus, it still has the Disney connection), and 8pm Sundays is considered a safe timeslot for family shows. Quantico actually got better ratings than Blood & Oil, despite airing an hour later. The bigger problem ABC has with 9pm is The Walking Dead airing at that time, so they would be sealing Once Upon a Time’s death warrant by moving it there, if that were considered an option. Not to mention, to put it bluntly, a majority of ABC’s failed shows were just of terrible quality to begin with. Anyway, here are the other nights:
Mondays: Reality shows like the Bachelor and Dancing with the Stars, followed by Castle at 10pm. I can’t see OUAT as a 10pm show.
Tuesdays: 8pm is a comedy block, followed by Agents of SHIELD at 9pm, and another drama at 10pm. Still can’t see OUAT airing at 10pm.
Wednesdays: ABC’s main comedy night, and it is the most stable night of the week. They won’t fix what isn’t broken. The only weakness is their 10pm slot (currently occupied by American Crime and Nashville), but again can’t see OUAT as a 10pm show.
Thursdays: Devoted to their TGIT block of Shonda shows. Yeah TGIT is weakening, but I’m not so sure ABC would give up on it yet either. Grey’s especially works in that 8pm timeslot, which used to be a deathslot for several years. Once Upon a Time in Wonderland aired in that timeslot a few years ago, and was an immediate ratings failure.
Fridays: 8pm is occupied by comedy shows with Last Man Standing and Dr. Ken. Both do adequate jobs for Friday shows, and will likely continue. 9pm is Shark Tank, and there’s no way ABC is moving that when it does so well. 10pm is off limits completely, as that’s devoted to ABC New’s long occupied program 20/20.[adrotate group="5"]MatthewPaul

ModeratorThe Zootopia press junket is certainly keeping Ginny busy, so she may not be at the OUAT party:

To be fair, Zootopia would be the priority as far as both Ginny and Disney are concerned.

ModeratorNo I absolutely agree. I just don’t know that OUAT necessarily does them well. The filler’s of S2 are rather middling. Sometimes they can be good–“The Queen is Dead” for example–but sometimes not so much–Welcome to Storybrooke, or SB and T.
I wouldn’t call “The Queen is Dead” a filler episode. We got more of Snow White’s backstory, and it revealed that Cora killed her mother Eva and further confirmed that she purposely caused Snow’s horse to go wild. Rumple got poisoned by Hook and Snow decided that she wanted to kill Cora, directly leading into “The Miller’s Daughter.”

ModeratorSince we’re discussing least favorite episodes of the Season, here are mine in no particular order:
1) Selfless, Brave and True – Tamara’s magical taser killing wooden August.
2) In the Name of the Brother – The Frankenstein story fell flat, and the overall episode was just too angsty. Regina also gets manipulated too easily by her mother.
3) Child of the Moon – Red kills her own mother. The episode also felt fillerish.
4) The Cricket Game – The whole Regina being framed thing, and causing everyone to turn on her irritated me.
5) The Evil Queen – Regina killed an entire village, and expected Snow to forgive her after seeing that. It also felt weird that Regina almost was going to bury the hatchet and patch things up with Snow at this point in the timeline. The present day scenes weren’t terrific, either.I actually liked “Into the Deep” and “Tiny.” “Into the Deep” had that amazing sequence of Charming finding Snow in the Netherworld. With “Tiny”, I found the flashbacks cute and it was fun seeing Josh play Charming’s evil twin James. Not to mention we had the airport scenes with Rumple.
