Why is Emma even in the dark one vault? She didn’t even stab herself with the dagger like Rumple did in S3. And to get Emma out of the dark one vault, doesn’t someone have to die? A life for a life was the bargain Neal made and paid to get Rumple out of it.
Because Emma didn’t die. She just became the Dark One, and for whatever reason she was transported to the vault. When Rumple “died” and went to the Dark One Vault, his dagger went along with it. When Emma disappeared, the dagger was left behind and had her name newly engraved upon it. If I had a guess, it could have to do with the fact that she didn’t become the Dark One in the traditional way. She didn’t stab Rumple with the dagger, and Rumple is still alive without being the Dark One anymore. Also, Lumiere mentioned that the Dark One Vault was specifically where the first Dark One was made, so it’s always had more than one purpose.
Red Warrior or Brave Warrior would be…fine. And I’m using that loosely. It’s a quick and easy way to get an LGBT pairing to silence all the criticism without having to develop the ship after they get together. We know Mulan is coming back for 5B (presumably, according to Adam) but there has been no word on Red or Merida. So pairing Mulan with a female who is destined for Forgotten Character Island kills a few birds with one stone: silence critics, gets a buzzworthy LGBT pairing, but allows the writers to forget all about them after the fact.
One thing about Brave Warrior that I think needs to be addressed is that there’s the chance that Disney may not allow them to pair Merida with any love interest, be it male or female. Merida is purely a Disney/Pixar creation, and it appears they’re going the Frozen route where the events of the movie are canon, and this takes place after it. Elsa also didn’t get a love interest, despite fans hoping they would make her a LGBT character. Given the meetings that were said to have happened between the writers and the Frozen film crew, it’s clear that they were likely given restrictions on what they could do with the characters. They could have told the writers not to give Elsa a love interest, because it could clash with plans for Frozen 2 or whatever. Same could apply to Merida, if this is the case.

*packing clothes* Yep, I am already getting ready set sail on the SS RedWarrior ship. Assuming it’ll happen. I don’t really think they’ll split up Aurora and whats-his-face. This show has yet to split up a Disney canon couple.
They split up Robin Hood and Maid Marian, but they aren’t really among the super iconic Disney pairings. Maid Marian is not officially a part of the Disney Princess brand, for one. However, Mulan technically is in the Disney Princess line (even though she’s not actually a princess), and if they go through with pairing her with another woman instead of Shang, than that would be splitting up a Disney canon couple. Unless they change Shang into a woman.
That’s not the same sword from Season 3 or whatever, but that’s none of my business *sips tea* But then again, the sword from season 3 was a fake afterall…..Here’s a pic for comparison:
It honestly wouldn’t make sense to make them identical, because that sword was a fake. Rumple even said that Charming fashioned it himself, so it’s not like Rumple magicked a genuine looking duplicate for him to use.
