ModeratorThe other option, and one that would work a lot more, is if Camelot was originally part of our world but somehow got “shifted” to the EF and then trapped in a time bubble or something. That would explain why Arthur and his knights are still looking for the Grail without the writers needing to get around the complicated historical narrative of Christianity. Part of Arthurian mythology stress a rather Messianic quality–the idea idea that he and Camelot will return someday. In this case, it could be a literal return (Arthur and his knights actually coming to our world once more).
I expect their answer to be rather simplified actually. It’ll probably just be the “these are realms of story, so anything goes” answer that was given to use in regards to Cruella’s fictional London. Whether they’ll dive into more specifics in regards to the lore of these realms of story, we can’t say.

ModeratorDon’t forget at least 2 episodes for the Camelot gang. 1 for Merlin (at least) and 1 for Arthur/Guinevere/Lancelot (at least)
Though at least some of the Camelot centrics will also be centrics for some of the regulars, which tends to be the case. The Frozen arc was a rare occurrence where we actually got flashbacks without any of the regulars involved. Only other time I can recall that happening since then was Cruella’s flashback, which only involved her, Cruella’s mother, and Isaac. We did also get that flashback of when Isaac became the Author, but it was brief and only lasted for the first 5 minutes or so of the episode.

ModeratorBut now that Matt pointed out what the Siege Perilous is (which I didn’t know) I’m doubting it’s a Regina episode. I’m starting to think it might be a Robin episode (which would include Regina) and somehow Robin was at the Round Table and this is his history of that.
Almost forgot that we can now expect centrics for Robin and Zelena now that they are regulars, which could even include centrics that don’t heavily involve Regina.

ModeratorDo we know if it was the holy grail and not just some golden cup? Was it ever stated to be the grail?
I believe the leaked Skin Deep script floating around on the internet referred to it as the Holy Grail. Jane Espenson also reportedly said it was the Holy Grail on the DVD commentary for Skin Deep. However, it was never stated on the show itself. I think it could be like how Rumple had a hat that looked like the Sorcerer’s hat from Fantasia and was intentionally written that way as just an easter egg, but later on it turned out to not be the actual Sorcerer’s hat.

ModeratorWell the knight who succeed in finding the Grail was usually Galahad. He was considered the true perfect knight.
ETA: though sometimes it’s Perceval (Percival) and given that they’ve already cast that Knight, maybe they’re using him.
I’m going with Percy (yeah, that’s going to be my nickname for him), since like you mentioned, they already cast him.

ModeratorIn Arthurian legend, the Siege Perilous (also known as The Perilous Seat) is a vacant seat at the Round Table reserved by Merlin for the knight who would one day be successful in the quest for the Holy Grail.

ModeratorOr it could the first dark one before they became the dark one. They were jealous of Mr. Merlin guy and tampered in evil magic and decided to consume all worlds.
I like the idea that this could be the original Dark One.

ModeratorNvm. Karen David responded directly saying nope. But she would like to be on the show.
