Re: the above Adam and Eddy interview, it seems Adam is saying that while this will be a split-Season, that it will be one big storyline for the full Season this time around? And yep, Eddy said that the reason they lied about the Rumple’s mom casting call was because if they put up that it was a Scottish woman who was good with a bow and arrow, everybody would have guessed Merida.

ModeratorGah! I LOVE IT!!!!!! Also the heart crushing effect looks really nice.
Now the only question is why and how is Emma locked up in the EF??? Is this clip an actual clip from the show (like the Elsa/Anna clip or the Rump/Felix clip)? Or is it just a sneak (like the Ariel clip from Comic-Con)?Adam and Eddy confirmed in a few of the SDCC interviews that this clip isn’t canon and is just for promotional purposes like the Hook and Ariel promos. However, they did say this still gives us an idea in regards to their vision for Dark Swan.

ModeratorI didn’t read through all the pages…Just seems like another missed opportunity.
Eh, I don’t think a popular Disney/Pixar princess being conceived as a result of rape would have been the best move. Disney likely would have vetoed the idea in a heartbeat even if Adam and Eddy were that crazy to consider it. Zelena and Robin also aren’t royalty.

ModeratorI think that if Merida is related to anyone, her being the daughter of Zelena and Robin Hood makes the most sense. Come on, her red curly hair and her mad archery skills…
Adam already shut that theory down. See a few pages back for the tweet.

ModeratorIn all honesty, I don’t think Merida will be a blood relative, and for one major reason. Disney might have Adam and Eddy on a tight leash in regards to what they can do with the character, like what happened with the Frozen characters. Especially when Merida is a purely Disney-Pixar creation. Anna and Elsa were carbon copies of their film counterparts, so chances are the same will be the case for Merida. So like Anna and Elsa, I think the twist with Merida will simply be how that character interacts with the OUAT universe, while she’ll remain true to the original character.

ModeratorAs for my own predictions, I feel the character of Mor’du will play a role in this Season.
From the Pixar Wiki:
A legendary monster, Mor’du is an over 11-foot-tall (336 cm) bear with huge claws, a misaligned jaw, and long, sharp teeth. His body is covered in scars, broken weapon hilts, and arrows. One of the Production Designers of the film, Steve Pilcher, calls Mor’du a “Demon bear” and “Moby Dick on land”.
However, Mor’du was not always a bear; he was originally a human prince, who wanted to rule the kingdom he shared with his three brothers alone, and went to a witch to gain “the strength of ten men” in order to take over the land, paying with the ring of his house, bearing the crest of his family, two crossed axes. The spell he received eventually transformed him into a bear, and he murdered his family, causing the fall of the kingdom. Mor’du lived on for centuries, and the bear side of him overtook his humanity, making him a monstrous beast.
