Nah, August was in the Sorcerer’s Mansion last time we saw him. The background looks like the Apprentice’s house, which is a different house entirely.

The first photo that Obisgirl posted appears to be in the Apprentice’s house, actually.
It never made sense how Ingrid’s ice magic suddenly started freezing Marian/Zelena again out of nowhere in the first place. I genuinely think that’s a sign that they were already planning on Marian to be Zelena. Zelena realized that her plan to make Robin chose her over Regina was failing, so she needed a new plan to thwart their potential for happiness together. So she pretended to start freezing again, hoping that Robin’s code would force him to leave town with her.
Regina clearly says in the sneak peek that she was a child though?
*Re-watches clip* You’re right. Well I’ll go back to my theory about the AU not technically altering the past, but simply altering everyone’s memories and personalities.
Something I should note. Isaac appearing to be in our world during the 1960s could very well be a reference to the show Mad Men, which is a show Patrick Fischler is known for. Coincidentally, Jared Gilmore was also a cast member on Mad Men before joining Once Upon a Time. If Henry becomes the new Author, then both Authors will have been played by Mad Men alumni.
Slight plot hole in Regina and Snow switching roles. Regina is older than Snow. If Regina was a child (say 10 because that was the age Snow was when she told Cora about Daniel) when she told Snow’s secret, then Snow would’ve only been 2 at the time if not younger. Unless this is an intentional plot hole to make the characters realise something is amiss, the James might not be the guy we think he is. A 2 year old Snow’s true love could’ve been her beloved Teddy that got taken away from her because of Regina.
This goes back to my theory that this AU doesn’t technically alter the past, but simply alters everyone’s memories and personalities. However, who says Regina and Snow had to even be the same ages as they were during Daniel’s death? James actually only died a few days or so before Snow and Charming met, so the date of his death might remain in this AU. That would mean both Regina and Snow would have already been adults during the time of James’ death.

I could see them taking this route, if it turns out that the Author doesn’t have the power to bring currently dead people back in this AU. If he can’t have his son back, Rumple might request to not remember his son at all, since recalling his death might be too painful to include in this AU. It’s very extreme, but this is Rumple we’re talking about. After all, he didn’t want Neal’s belongings because they reminded him of his failure. Plus, during that Hot Seat a few months ago, Adam and Eddy were rather blunt by outright saying “his plan for a happy ending does not involve Baelfire, because Baelfire is no longer with us.” I get the impression if they were planning to bring back Young Baelfire for this AU, they would have been more cryptic in their response. Part of me wouldn’t be surprised if they actually do manage to bring back Young Baelfire here, but I still have my doubts.

They developed Season 1 with those initial 16 episodes in mind, and then had to pad when they got the additional 6 episodes. It’s also clear that the writers had “shiny toy syndrome”, as RG would call it, by introducing so many Batman villains so fast. They’re even giving OUAT a run for its money, in regards to how many villains are crammed into one Season. I think we could have had a stronger Season had they kept it to 16 episodes, honestly. We likely wouldn’t have had the whole Fish/Dollmaker storyline and the Scarecrow storyline. Losing those storylines wouldn’t have been a tragedy, especially when that Dollmaker storyline just screamed filler. You’re not missing anything if you just skip the Dollmaker storyline and cut to Fish’s return to Gotham. It’s interesting that this is the opposite of what happened with Agents of SHIELD. Agents of SHIELD started weak, but improved during the 2nd half of its 1st Season. Gotham started out strong, but grew weaker by the end of the Season.
As for the finale, it was definitely a mixed bag. I enjoyed watching it, but I acknowledge the flaws. A lot of the problems RG mentioned are the same ones I have. Cat working for Fish just came out of nowhere. I personally cheered when Penguin tossed Fish off the building, and I’m hoping she “stays” dead. Jada Pinkett Smith only signed up for 1 year, and isn’t set to return for Season 2. It seemed like Fish’s sole purpose was to serve the rise of the Penguin arc, and now that he’s “the new King of Gotham”, is there really any more use for the character? The Barbara and Leslie scenes were uncomfortable to watch, as there was clear tension between the two given their love for the same man. Though I did find the psychopathic twist to Barbara being her parents’ true murder intriguing. I agree with RG and Phee that Nygma’s schizophrenic scene was one of the best scenes. FOX definitely overhyped the reveal that Bruce finds about his parents, as their promo basically already spoiled that it was a secret passageway of some sort, and not much else was clarified when we did see the full scene.
I can only hope that they can make improvements for Gotham’s 2nd Season. Seeing Nygma’s further transformation into the Riddler would be fun. I also definitely want to see the Jerome/Joker storyline expanded, as his episode was one of the strongest of the 1st Season by far.
What if the characters real personalities are still there but lying dormant under their AU ones and shades of the real personalities start coming out?
I have a feeling that Rumple might still have his memories during this AU.
