ModeratorAm I the only one who suspects that Rumple has a portal hat in that box he’s approaching towards? I’m guessing Rumple was the one who gave Jefferson his hat in the first place, and had a spare. Would explain why Robin entered Oz through the emerald curtain, since we know that’s what the Oz door in the hat looks like.

ModeratorAlso, based on spoilers and what Emma herself already said about wanting to stab Rumple with his dagger, I think after Henry course corrects things so that the odds are again stacked in favor of the heroes, Emma will stab Rumple, kill him, and become the next dark one. That will be the big cliff hanger for S5.
Actually according to set reports of that climatic scene in the finale, Emma mentions how the dagger “always needs a name”, and then sacrifices herself. That would suggest that she didn’t stab Rumple, because if she did, her name would already be on the dagger. Either Rumple’s dark one curse is lifted, or he somehow dies without being stabbed.

ModeratorAm I the only one who thinks this is actually Regina, and not Rumple? I don’t think she wants to turn Emma dark, but instead use Lily’s blood because of her having Emma’s darkness inside of her. I think the whole Zelena pregnancy thing is making Regina act desperate. Plus, we saw Regina working with Isaac in the promo.

ModeratorOk, so I’m one of the folks that does not believe Rumple’s going to die at the end of this season…or next season. I also don’t believe this is the end of Rumbelle.
I do think they’re setting Rumple up to be the next big bad. Rumple has been lost since Bae’s death. And I think what we’ve seen is the beginning of that spiral – not really dealing with his son’s death, promising to avenge his death when Bae very likely would never want that, and the entire demise of Rumbelle. Rumple’s obsessed with power and magic, but he is still a very weak individual – his choice to become the Dark One, his chosing his magic over Belle numerous times have shown us that. But though he’s close right now, I think he hasn’t quite hit rock bottom yet. That is what I think the writers are setting us up for. I’m thinking Rumple doesn’t die, but he does lose his magic and power. I think, for Rumple, that’s a fate worse than death.
I think Rumple’s redemption arc really hasn’t even started. I think we’ve seen some good progress with characters like Hook and Regina, but for every step forward Rumple takes, he’s still taking 2 steps back. So I think Rumple needs to truly redeem himself before Rumbelle has a chance, but I do think, once Rumple hits that bottom and finally faces himself without the magic and power that’s corrupted him for so long, Belle will be there to help him find his way. We saw Belle finally having to come to terms with the fact that Rumple has done bad things, when she is the one directly affected by his actions. And we saw Belle walk away, but the scene in the store left me feeling like Belle is ready to see Rumple for who he really is, not who she wants him or believes he can be. And now that she’s maybe looking at him and their relationship a little more rationally and realistically, she can actually give Rumple the help she felt she was giving when she continued to almost blindly have faith in him.
So, that’s my thoughts in a not-so-nutshell. And I’m hoping my headcannon proves right because that’s the Rumbelle I would love to see! (And since I’m one who personally loves Rumple when he’s at his worst, and thinks Belle deserved better until she finally fought back, therefore couldn’t really get completely behind Rumbelle, that’s saying a lot!)
That’s basically how I feel about all of this in a nutshell.

ModeratorA and E TOLD the casting department to get someone who resembled Regina in order for that episodes thesis of relationships to make sense. In other words, the casting department went into casting adult Lily knowing that they had cast someone with Latina heritage. In order to compensate, they had to change Agnes Brukner’s look to make it “work.”
Sorry to butt in, but isn’t this an assumption in itself? Did Adam and Eddy ever specifically say this? I get why you would come to that conclusion, but unless there’s actual evidence from the two directly, it’s still speculation.

ModeratorThe problem with this poll feature is that it lets a person vote more than once (as I just confirmed by voting a second time), which means the results can be stacked. It’s about as statistically unreliable as those shipping polls, since people just vote over and over again until their fingers bleed to sway the results. A valid poll would only allow for one vote per user. I realize it’s only for fun, so it may not matter. Just thought I’d put that out there in case someone was thinking of using the results to try and prove a point.
That’s an issue with virtually any online poll, unfortunately. But like RG said, I trust that you guys will be honorable. This a community based poll.

ModeratorMatt, is there a time limit on the poll? Does it close on a certain date?
No time limit. I could probably close it the date of the finale, I guess.
MatthewPaul
ModeratorHow did you manage to post a poll? I thought we lost the create a poll option ages ago?
I used polldaddy to create the poll, which Daniel suggested, and was able to embed it into the thread.
MatthewPaul
ModeratorThere’s one choice you don’t have on that poll. The Dark One, Rumple dies, but powerless Rumple lives.
Not sure it really needs to its own option. If it were the Dark One entity that dies, while Rumple himself lives, does that really count as Rumple dying? Depending how it plays out, such a scenario could fall under the 2nd option, where Rumple “dies”, but it’s not permanent.
