ModeratorThe real question, for me, is whether or not anything actually *happened* when the Apprentice put on his show. Despite apparently casting out all the darkness, Emma has still lied, stolen, be given over to jealousy, rage, and fits of temper, justifiably murdered Cruella, and had the Chernabog after her. And despite apparently casting that darkness INTO Lily, we saw a lovely compassionate giving and caring young girl in 405. I’m still not convinced the Apprentice did anything other than putting on an elaborate puppet show (at the hands of the Author who just wanted a better story)
As for the hair, the hair in Shattered Sight could only reverse the curse if that person had previously been affected by the Curse of SS. So, while magic is often used on OUAT, I guess Emma’s hair would have be similarly “cursed” in order to work on Lily (if that makes sense).
While I could see the whole darkness being transferred to Lily thing being a rouse, at the same time I’ve been thinking of something else. What if Rumple actually wants Emma to find Lily, so he can re-transfer the darkness back into Emma? We are definitely seeing Emma slip towards darkness without Lily being there, but what if the supposed darkness that’s in Lily is still needed to make Emma go fully dark?

ModeratorThis looks so bad.

ModeratorIt’s possible that when the casting department were given the description of adult Lily, they were only told she was Maleficent’s long lost daughter so they looked for an actress that bared a resemblance to Mal’s actress which is how they found Agnes then realised after hiring that adult Lily was supposed to be the same Lily from Emma’s past hence why they then tried to make Agnes look more like young Lily.
The casting department has made mistakes before. For example, with Cinderella’s baby. They had to find an “Alex” not realising Alex was short for Alexandra and produced a boy baby instead of a girl.
Wouldn’t be surprised if that was what happened, especially when they use code names for these casting calls. In this case, Adult Lily was cast under the name “Autumn.” If this is the case, they clearly need better communication between the showrunners and casting department.

Moderator@asinoski @Radames125470 FWIW, my exact question was: "Are Hook and the Charmings equally cognizant of Emma's descent into darkness?"

ModeratorHonestly I am laying down 100 cookies that Lily’s daughter’s name is Henrietta.
Zoey would still work, because both Zoey and Henry end with a “y”. =p

ModeratorA few more photos of Lily and what we assume to be her daughter, who this poster claims is named “Zoey.”

ModeratorShe’s acting quite a lot like Killian when he thought his hand was cursed, actually.
This also reminds me of when Emma’s powers were out of control during 4A. Both cases were based on Emma’s emotions getting the best of her.

ModeratorI think this is why killing Cruella is fueling Emma’s path towards darkness. It’s not so much killing Cruella to save Henry, but how quickly she gave in to dark impulses. It was really learning the truth about what her parents did that started this attitude, and killing Cruella was her first harsh act since then. Now she’s acting reckless.
