ModeratorSo these rumored spoilers about the S4 finale were floating around on Tumblr today. Important to note, of course, is that Adam Horowitz and Jane Espenson claimed they were fake. Still….some of them do seem to line up with previous spoilers and spoiler photos. Take it with a grain of salt.
Fake. I saw this earlier, and other people pointed out that normally they type out Robin Hood’s full name in the scripts. In the screenshots of this “fake” script that are floating around the internet, they only use Robin’s first name. Also, the Apprentice being the Author doesn’t add up, because the Sorcerer has kept the Author trapped behind a door for several years, while the Apprentice was still seen in Storybrooke and absorbed into the hat. And Hook nowhere to be seen in the finale? Very VERY hard to believe.

ModeratorApril 2nd is the last day of filming, actually. If Jafar does show up at the end of the finale, chances are they might actually hide him like they did with Elsa.

ModeratorSpeaking of Agnes Bruckner. Not filming related per say, but way to be subtle, Agnes!
“@GiGina12: @agnesbruckner1 Oooo, I got one!! If mythical creatures actually existed, which one would you have for a best friend???” Dragon!

ModeratorOn the other hand, B&B is a really popular Disney cartoon, and A&E might not want to disappoint fan-girls of the Rumple and Belle pairing. So maybe the writers could find a way to wrap up Rumple’s story without necessarily killing him off, and instead write him as having his curse undone by TLK and then packing him off to A Land Without Magic so as to avoid the temptation that magic in SB has to offer. Maybe Rumple’s happy ending could simply be starting over again away from all the crazy once his dark one curse is broken.
Honestly if that were to happen, I could see Belle leaving the show too. If they decide to go back and make Rumbelle endgame, but Rumple leaves Storybrooke, then Belle would surely leave with him.

ModeratorAnd if it’s not a matter of her going dark as an alternative universe in which Emma is dark because her parents are villains?
Honestly I don’t think it’s far fetched *at all* that Emma is going to become some sort of anti savior before this season is done, however it happens and however long it lasts
And even if it doesn’t last, Rumple dying—completely in the realm of possibility with how he is being written (and Belle)
I’d say Rumple’s plot to turn Emma dark won’t even last that long. I’d say it could be resolved as early as the end of the next episode. Filming photos/set reports for 417-421 appear to show Emma acting like her normal self, but now obviously bitter towards her parents. Let’s face it, it wouldn’t be the first time they rushed through a plotline. ABC chose to promote Dark Emma because they knew it would get people interested, but they tend to overhype plot elements. We could see a full Dark Emma in the theorized AU in the finale, I’ll give you that. However, I wouldn’t be surprised if that doesn’t even come up in the finale at all.

ModeratorIn all honesty, I too have my doubts they’d go as far as make Emma kill Rumple and become the new Dark One. In regards to the whole Dark Emma subplot, I think she’ll come close to going dark, but will ultimately not give in.

ModeratorI can’t quite tell why they brought Ursula in if they were going to get rid of her this soon and this underdeveloped. Was it just to have three QoD? Was it for a Hook centric? What did she add to the story except being part of the QoD and flashing her tentacles around?
I feel a huge part of the problem has to do with how they set up the Little Mermaid mythology on the show. Not only was Ursula originally established as a Goddess, but they had to have Regina pose as Ursula, too. Therefore, Ariel never met either of the real Ursulas. You take away Ursula’s connection with Ariel, and you take away a large aspect of her character. What is Ursula’s purpose if she doesn’t have a score to settle with Triton and Ariel? As for Goddess Ursula, what business would she possibly have being a villain? However, the writers still couldn’t resist the idea of using Ursula as a villain, but they knew they were limited by what they could do with her thanks to the show’s established canon. So instead we get yet another Ursula, who is a sea witch named after the Goddess. Pretty sure the main reason they had Regina pretend to be Ursula in the first place was because they knew Lana expressed interest in playing Ursula. However, had it been the real Ursula interacting with Ariel in the first place, they would have had much more to go on. Yeah Ursula had a past with Hook, which makes sense because he’s a pirate, but which of the other regulars would it make sense for her to have a long history with? Ursula does have history with the Charmings, but only because she was tagging along with her BFFs at the time.

ModeratorIf this flashback is after the wedding and after the encounter with the QoD in 413……
Why is Charming wearing that cloak? Isn’t that the same one he traded to Rumple so he could stop Snow from killing Regina, long before they were married?
I actually just took a look at “Heart of Darkness.” It’s a similar cloak, but not exactly the same. Besides, I think he’s been spotted with a fur cloak in other flashbacks that took place past that point in the timeline. Not too hard to believe that he would get more fur cloaks, or happen to own more of them.
