Wonder if they’re regretting making Cruella’s breath appear green yet, considering everyone has made the halitosis comment. LOL I assume they derived the breathing thing from how she’s typically a big smoker, carrying that cigarette holder around, so this is a PC twist on her blowing smoke. Why couldn’t they make it appear white though (too much like cigarette smoke)? Or black? Or red? Colours that are actually associated with the character. Heck even make it blue or purple. Green breath instantly makes you think of bad smelling breath, it was pretty much the worst colour they could have picked.
Anyway, it could be interesting if it turns out she can use it to control Ursula and Maleficent. I wish they’d bring Red back if this is a concept they’re gonna explore.
I looked back at the original movie. Turns out her smoke actually was a greenish color, so I think that probably was what they were going for. Not that this was the best aesthetic decision to go with, since this is translating an idea from an animated film to a live action TV show. Not to mention in the film she was at least smoking a cigarette, while on Once Upon a Time the smoke is literally just her breath.
[adrotate group="5"]I feel like Emma learning about whatever secret Snow and Charming are hiding from her will be what gets her to turn dark, for however long she does. That would come across as a huge betrayal to Emma, and would make her question their trust. Not only that, but it would make Emma question where the line is drawn between heroes and villains.

Also, good to suddenly know that mobile phone microwaves can cross magical barriers, too. In fact, they probably knew that already…they must have used more than just ordinary telephone lines to contact the outside world just before Regina’s curse was broken.
As I said in another thread recently, communication by cell phone between Storybrooke and the outside world has always been possible. We saw it back in “Manhattan”, when Emma called Snow and Charming from NYC to Storybrooke. Greg and Neal were also able to call Tamara from within Storybrooke before she arrived in town.
(We’re probably done with the plot device scroll now though, I mean, they let Ursula and Cruella keep it, so I doubt we’ll see it being used by anyone else ever again.)
Actually, Regina was seen holding the scroll before leaving with Emma to find Lily in set photos taken during the filming of episode 419. Now that we’ve seen this episode, it seems pretty obvious that Regina and Emma are using said scroll to be able to leave Storybrooke, while having the means to be able to return.

Guessing we really might see Pinocchio re-age back into August in 314. Either that, or they somehow extract Pinocchio’s memories of his time as August that might still exist in his head. For the record, Jakob Davies confirmed last month that he will be appearing in 314, too:
