Basically what’s happening is (BIG SPOILERS AHEAD)
As far as I can see:

Bug + other car arrive back in sorrybrooke. Emma gets out and hugs Henry first, then Hook. Lily gets out of the bug too. Regina and Robin get out of the orher car with Roland.

Then Regina and David go back the bug and basically drag Zelena (yes really, Bex is here) out of the car.

Remembering how they handled the Wizard of Oz I have no high hopes for Chernabog being more than a one-off, maybe a second appearance. Pure evil doesn’t exist on this show.

Unless you’re Peter Pan. Probably the most evil character this show has ever had.

I think this pretty much cements my theory. Zelena is alive again and impersonated Marian. What else could be going on?
