ModeratorMP I think Jafar will be for what ever left in season 5 as well. I don’t see them going past 5 though. I could see them possible doing a spinoff to go in that 8pm time slot. My theory is it would be a Hook Series referred to as the jolly roger.
Considering how Wonderland did, I don’t expect another spinoff to happen. Even if a lot of Wonderland’s failure was ABC’s fault for scheduling it the way they did. Though to be honest, I don’t think it would have done that much better during the Winter hiatus, either.

ModeratorDay 28- Future Plotlines you’d like to see
– I would like to see Jafar cross over into the parent show. I enjoyed him as a villain on Wonderland, and since he already has a history with Will, it would feel naturally organic to introduce him.
– More Neverland flashbacks with Pan and Hook. There’s plenty of stories that they could tell. I would say Neverland flashbacks with Baelfire too, but let’s face it, Dylan Schmid has probably aged too much. If he could still convincingly play Baelfire at his current age, then sure.
– I would like to see more past guest stars and recurring characters return to further develop their character arcs. Besides, we’re already facing our limit in regards to what classic villains are left to introduce, so they might as well go back to characters we’ve already seen.MatthewPaul
ModeratorThe Yahoo TV article mentions some things the others chose to leave out, including some rather spoilerly information.
“We always wanted to get back to Maleficent [Kristin Bauer van Straten], which is why we never fully killed her. What we wanted was for Gold to take the lesson of the heroes who always work together,” Kitsis said.
What I expected all along. They always wanted Maleficent back, but there was the issue of Kristin Bauer’s availability, since she was still working on True Blood.
The arrival of the queens of darkness in the hidden hamlet really upsets Snow (Ginnifer Goodwin) and Charming (Josh Dallas). Just as the unholy trinity has history together, it appears the royal couple has had more dealings with them than they would like to admit and they are definitely not proud of those actions. Attempts to keep their shameful past a secret by any means necessary, including enlisting the help of a former enemy and lying to their daughter Emma (Jennifer Morrison), will have dangerous ramifications both immediately and throughout the rest of the year. Discovering the truth might be the straw that sends the savior to the dark side as suggested in the promo that aired during the Oscars.
Not sure if this was specifically brought up, but this confirms that their secret is tied to the Queens of Darkness, which some of us suspected. So “enlisting the help of a former enemy” likely refers to Regina, in regards to shielding the truth from Emma?
Hook (Colin O’Donoghue) and Emma’s relationship will suffer another setback when the sheriff Swan deduces that Ursula and her boyfriend go way back and he refuses to tell her what went down. He will claim their paths simply crossed when he was sailing the seven seas and she ruled the deep, but an upcoming episode will contain flashbacks that reveal “what he did to her. It is not sexual. It is far worse,” said Kitsis. “What would be worse than having your heart broken, having your soul crushed. You’re going to see the origin of Ursula. We all know Hook is about 385 years old and we meet Ursula around 18-19. Emma’s about to find out some really bad information.”
So Yahoo let it slip that Ursula is the one Hook has a past with. I wonder if this implies that Hook met Ursula before he went to Neverland? Since Ursula is supposed to be a Sea Goddess, being alive back then probably isn’t unlikely. What did Hook do? Kill Poseidon, Ursula’s mother or another relative of her’s?
In regards to Belle
She will lock lips with a resident we’ve already met and Kitsis couldn’t be more thrilled with the progress. “Any time you have your heart broken, you look for a way to smile again and we love her moving on.”
But even though he has continually picked power over love, the beast is not ready to let go of his beauty, especially after he learns of her budding romance. “He doesn’t disappear,” Horowitz teases. “Actually, that activates him and starts him on a new quest that he’s really energized about.” Kitsis added. “I would say he has his work cut out.”
Further confirmation that ScarletBeauty will become a thing. Whether it’s long term or short term, remains to be seen.

ModeratorWell, a lot of people thought breaking the curse would be a last Season thing, and it wasn’t. I do think they have plans to stretch things out til at least a 5th Season. I do get what you’re saying, though, because finding the author and having this clash of Heroes vs. Villains along with the reveal of the Author sounds like it could be the big climax of the show. However, Adam and Eddy are on record for implying “so and so could happen in Season 5”, in regards to stuff like Emma getting her own place, further exploring Henry’s adolescent period, etc. I also fully expect them to end Season 4 on a cliffhanger with major loose ends left to be resolved, because that’s just what they do. In regards to how long Season 5 will be, I guess that depends on how the ratings for 4B do. If there’s a sharp decline, they might chose to wrap up the show more quickly. However, ABC might just give them a full Season just because they don’t know what else to air at 8pm on Sundays, and OUAT’s performance there is still probably seen as acceptable. As I said before, I expect Season 5 to be Aladdin centric with Jafar crossing over into the parent show. Not to mention, Aladdin and Jasmine are among the remaining Disney couples they have yet to show, and they have expressed an interest in showing them before.
As for Cora, I’m honestly not expecting her to be resurrected, but to simply appear in a flashback. I do agree we very well might see Pan again by the end of the Season, which I’m all for. There’s still plenty of flashback potential with Pan on Neverland that could be explored, including the story of how he bloody got that drawing of Henry.

ModeratorWe’ve been waiting all season to find out why Will Scarlett (Michael Socha) is in town. Will we finally find out?
HOROWITZ: We’re going to see more of Will, we’re going to see more of his background and see some of his time in the past. As we know, he was one of the Merry Men, so we’ll see some of his interaction with Robin Hood.
KITSIS: We’re going to see how those two actually met. We saw them together and saw how her joined the Merry Men, but for the people who watched that Wonderland episode, you’ll see that wasn’t the very first time they met. We’re going to dive fully into why he’s there. We’re definitely going to see more of Will in this back half.Well, I guess that explains why Will acted like he knew Robin a lot longer than we suspected. I actually did look back at the Wonderland episode, and Robin already knew who Will was at the beginning. They’re saying just because that was when he officially joined the Merry Men, that doesn’t mean that it was their first time ever meeting. I’m glad they at least acknowledged that Wonderland episode at all.

ModeratorWe’re going to see Oz again.
But WHY are we going to see Oz again?!?!
My guess is Zelena could have a few Oz scenes in the same episode she’s returning in, which in 417 (Robin Hood’s centric).

ModeratorI agree and I’d also like this to extend to Hook’s redemption as well. It’s never actually been dealt with his shooting Belle over the town line. It’s too late now since him and Emma are basically knocking boots but that is something he should’ve been punished for back in season 2.
Neither Hook nor Regina have had a realisation moment, they’ve just stopped trying to kill the heroes. The only one who gets called out on their actions is Rumple repeatedly. Hook’s and Regina’s redemption arcs would be a lot more satisfying if we actually see them struggle with it instead of being handed an advance to go and collect $200 card.
I’m gonna have to ask that you please stay on topic, because I don’t want to see this thread turn into a bash any character we personally have issues with thread, which could quickly turn into all defenders of each character coming in to debate otherwise. This thread’s topic is a hot button issue in itself.
