ModeratorAlso I made the fish penguin connection. I do think Fish will end up dead maybe not this season but she will die. We all know who lives in the batman legacy and it isn’t FISH. hahahahahaha
However, there is always the chance of Fish being introduced in the comics, if she continues to prove popular enough. It happened with Harley Quinn, who was first introduced in the 1992 Batman The Animated Series. Harley became so popular that she’s continued to appear in various Batman media since.

ModeratorWell I wasn’t expecting to hear her say the spell would kill everyone. That took away all my excitement. I thought they were all just going to get feisty and mean to each other.
She said “could kill everyone.” I think she was implying that the entire town would eventually kill each other as a result of the worst behavior being brought out.

ModeratorWell, that’s…new.
It’ll probably focus on Maleficent not forgiving Regina for locking her under the clock tower.
Still, I’m surprised that Adam himself is directing it because I don’t think he’s ever directed…ever. It should be interesting.
You’re right. He hasn’t.

ModeratorNot a huge fan of Barbara Gordon, myself. Jim warns her about the danger she’s in, comes back to Gotham anyway just to get caught by Falcone, and then whines to leave again once she realizes Jim was right?

ModeratorWell. We know that shortly AFTER Anna met Belle, Hook was in the EF WITH the Jolly Roger, thanks to Snow Drifts.
Right. The main thing we don’t know is how long Anna and Kristoff were frozen for.

ModeratorIf they expect me to buy that not only did Blackbeard survive the bubbly sharks but his costume also survived being torn to shreds, I’ll roll my eyes so hard they’ll end up on the other side of the room. I’d say it’s more likely that it’s before Hook got the ship back. If Blackbeard had sailed off to Arendelle, at least that’d explain why Hook hadn’t found the ship.
There’s also the question of how Anna and Kristoff would fit into this part of the timeline. Were they seriously frozen in Arendelle for the entirety of the initial dark curse, and unfrozen once the curse was broken?

ModeratorI was wondering about that too actually. I think ultimately, it will be dragged out a few seasons. I do wonder if it really was just some random thug responsible and not any of our usual suspects.
Like in the movies, every other Batman movie, the killer changed with the story. I hope Gotham doesn’t do that.
Joe Chill is the traditional killer of Batman’s parents in the comics and in Batman Begins. Normally he’s just a low level thug who committed a simple murder and robbery, but some versions have him as a hired hitman. Who knows if he’ll turn out to be the killer in Gotham, or if they’ll do a twist like how it turned out the Joker was the killer in the 1989 Tim Burton Batman film.

ModeratorWhat I love about Gotham is the way it’s taken characters we’re all familiar with, but introducing them in a new light. We get to explore what Jim Gordon was like when he first came to Gotham and joined the police force, we get to explore Bruce Wayne’s emotional teenhood following the death of his parents, and we get to see iconic villains in their earlier days. It’s also taken some Batman characters that most casuals wouldn’t be as familiar with such as Don Falcone and Harvey Bullock. The show has also done a great job introducing us to original characters, especially Fish Mooney.
Initially I was concerned that maybe the show was introducing too many Batman villains at once, but they’ve done well gradually developing them as the show progresses. Each of them has also fit organically into the show’s universe. Cobblepot is involved with the Gotham Mafia, Edward Nygma is the forensics operator for the Gotham PD, and Harvey Dent is the assistant District Attorney. What more can I say about Robin Lord Taylor’s Penguin that hasn’t already been said? I’m also enjoying Edward Nygma the more and more we see of him. He’s not the Riddler yet, but something’s off about him and he’s delightfully eccentric. We haven’t seen much of Dent, but I’ve enjoyed what we’ve seen of him.
I’m curious how they plan out the rest of the Season. Will the Waynes murder case be resolved by the end of the Season, or will they drag it out till the end of the series? I would like to think the former, as they can easily add new arcs for the series.
