ModeratorMichael Coleman as Happy
Glad to see he’s not fired after all. Also, Bo Peep as a villain is cracking me up.

ModeratorSpeaking of genies, some have also noticed that Yensid is not only Disney spelled backwards, but Sidney could also be an intentional anagram. Perhaps there is a connection there?

ModeratorSomeone posted a neat series of gifs comparing the Once Frozen characters to their movie counterparts:

ModeratorPros
Pretty much all of the Frozen stuff. Everyone was well cast, and their story is actually pretty engaging.
The Rumbelle ballroom dance
Rumple’s speech to Neal. Yeah I know it was tainted because of the whole “I killed Zelena out of vengeance and lied to Belle about it” issue, but otherwise I felt the rest of his speech was actually well written and fitting for the character.
The reveal of the iconic Sorcerer Hat. Looked very cool.
Seeing Sidney again.
Marshmallow was fun to see.
Hints that we’ll finally be learning who wrote the book soon.Cons
Regina backsliding her character development by wanting to get rid of Marian. Yeah she saved her from Marshmallow, but she was still plotting to kill her only minutes earlier and still wants her out of the picture.MatthewPaul
ModeratorThe promo suggests that Anna is the Frozen character that Charming had a friendship with in the past. Which makes sense, since she was the one to travel to the Enchanted Forest.

ModeratorVillains should get happy endings. It just takes longer to achieve them. That’s all. Like they have to go above & beyond to prove they are worthy to receive happiness too. And happy endings may not be what you think they should be.
I love Robin and want him to be with Regina but maybe he really isn’t Regina’s happy ending. Maybe it’s someone else we haven’t met yet. Or maybe it’s just a happy life being Henry’s mom & future grandma to his kids. Tink used magic to locate Regina’s soul mate, but all magic comes with a price.
Agreed. I think when Regina does track down the writer, she’s going to learn the hard way that happy endings aren’t something you can just take. You have to earn them. And more importantly, she has to be good for the sake of being good. She can’t be good just because she wants to be with Robin and Henry, because otherwise she wouldn’t be planning to get rid of Marian the moment that her supposed happy ending was smashed.

ModeratorI already said this in the teaser article I wrote, but I really liked the Frozen casting. Georgina Haig and Elizabeth Lail are great as Elsa and Anna. I’m impressed that this is Elizabeth’s first screen acting gig, as she’s fresh out of college. Kristoff and Sven were great, too. Pabbie looked pretty good for a CGI character, and one cannot complain about John Rhys-Davies’ amazing voice. Marshmallow looked alright, but certainly not their finest CGI work. I’m not against them adding Frozen as a continuation from the events of the movie as opposed to reinventing them, especially when their reinventions can be very hit or miss. While some reinventions can be great like Rumbelle, others can be mediocre like Rapunzel. In all honesty, actually adapting some elements from Tangled into their take on Rapunzel probably would have been the safer bet. They still could have cast against type for Rapunzel, as my main criticism was the way her story was handled rather than how the character looked. Rapunzel on the show felt more like “Ok, let’s just get our take on the character over with and have her as a one off filler episode.” At least the Frozen stuff will give enough time to properly develop these characters, though there should be a fair balance spending enough time with the core cast still. It’s an interesting approach to just simply see beyond the movie’s storyline and see how these characters fit into the Once Upon A Time universe.

ModeratorMy theory is that the writer of the book is tied to the Sorcerer’s Apprentice story. Could be Yensid (if Rumple isn’t taking over his role) or even the Apprentice himself.

ModeratorIt’s actually called Mist Haven. As for why the Enchanted Forest is called that, I have no clue.
