So, do you think his magic will be restored when he enters Storybrooke again? Part of me likes the idea that he *unknowingly?* sacrificed his magic to retrieve Bae but it seems to open up a lot of threats and issues for Rumpel..
I’m not sure. Probably no, if I’m right, since memories aren’t restored once the people re-enter Storybrooke.
If he’s the one who put up the barriers to his shop to keep Cora out in The Miller’s Daughter then yes…he has his magic back in Storybrook. Would be interesting if he didn’t though…could you imagine the look on Cora’s face trying to command the Dark One and he looks at her and says “I’ve got nothing.”
As for trying to heal himself in the bathroom…I think he knew in his heart he wouldn’t be able to do it but it’s like if the electricity goes out…sometimes you still flip the light switches out of habit. The shock of not being able to heal himself obviously still affected him though.

Thought I’d pass this along if anyone’s interested. A site that got to see the rough screening of Manhattan is going to be teasing about the episode – they promise no major spoilers!
http://letstalktv.barbarabarnett.com/2013/02/impressions-time-manhattan/“Major reveal in the first few minutes of the episode.”
Kind of excited to see them just jump into the reveal (without holding it over our heads the whole episode…which I was kind of expecting) and then use the episode to develop some characters and reveal new parts of the puzzle. 😀I have butterflies…with so much to work out and discuss among all the parties involved revealing Neal as Bae at the beginning seems like the only course of action. Thanks for the link.

Where are these spooked photos you speak of I have looked all over but haven’t found them
The only photos of the bar scene are the ones with MRJ…the article tells what it’s about.

There has to be a big shocker this episode, and I’m still thinking about the seer and possible prophecy – whatever it is, I’m thinking it will be a game changer (which Anton’s bean sprout was last night for me! OPENS UP SO MANY OPTIONS!) I’m expecting the general reactions of fans next week to be, “Oh, so Henry’s dad is Rumpelstiltskin’s son……WAIT! WHAT IS GOING ON OVER THERE!!!!!???” Manhattan was written by Adam and Eddy – really doubt we’ll be disappointed. 😀
While I do think that the big bombshell is probably supposed to be about Nealfire, I do hope that there’s a big twist or big twists involving the Seer that ties in with where the series is going because the future battle that the producers talk about is still very vague. While I don’t expect them to reveal everything to soon, it would be nice if we finally got some kind of direction on how the story is headed there.
I think they started some of that last night with the talk about the magic beans being a part of Cora’s plan…it’s slowly starting to be revealed…but your right about needing direction. If you asked someone about what season one was about almost everyone would say…breaking the curse…ask about season 2 and you get a dozen different answers. Just need something a little more concrete about the overall plan.

ParticipantI’m kind of hoping Tamara is only a friend as well…MRJ is only a recurring character…he said that he would possibly be back next season if scheduling permitted it… I would hate to go the entire second half of the season without any Swanfire(I guess Swanthief is laid to rest since it’s obvious that he is Bae) because they gave him a girlfriend and then Neal not return next year due to scheduling conflicts.

Wanna bet the final scene of the episode will be Emma and Neal running into each other and her saying “no!” and the camera showing us Nealfire’s face??
The spoiler photos for this episode show him in a bar talking with Emma so I think we will get a little more than that. I also recall there being some photos of her outside the same bar on her cell phone before going back in. My guess is that she was calling Gold…wonder if she contacted him without Neal knowing.
And I think Neal is the real deal…not a red herring. Why else would Gold return to Storybrook if he didn’t find Bae…he would still be looking and I doubt he’s dead…that would just be too anti-climatic imo.

Mr Carlyle OWNED this ep! Someone give the man an award for this role already!
He stole every scene he was in but then again he usually does.
I actually think that when he and Bae talk his current state might help Bae towards forgiving him…Rumple has done exactly what he should have done in the first place…given up magic for Bae…yes it may be a long time in coming and it will only be temporary since he will be returning to Storybrook but it is a first step and for Rumple it is huge. It also goes a long way in proving how much he really loves his son more than magic or power. Thus far it has been an addiction for him and addictions are not always easy to kick. It will be interesting to see once he gets back to Storybrook how the fact that Cora has the dagger affects him. He will go from the extreme of not having magic to the extreme of possibly having his magic controlled by someone else.

ParticipantIf they had a magic bean they could just take the ship and return home…looks like it would hold a lot of people…maybe not the whole town but if they had a crop of beans they could use the ship to take the people over in groups…so Hook better hold onto his ship I wouldn’t put it past Grumpy to steal it….I think he wants to go home really bad.

ParticipantI know this probably has something to do with Cora’s overall plan and the direction of the plot for this season but the whole thing has me completely stumped.
