Poor Archie. 😆 I have a feeling that therapy session is going to backfire on him.

Wait, why is Mr. Gold seeking therapy? Is it part of his anger management courses the judge made him take? 😆

Yeah let’s just move on. Talk about Rumpel next season. Hopefully they will explain some of his motivation a bit more.

Me too. 😉 I’m still curious to know why he even created the curse, and how does the true love potion factor into it. It clearly has something to do with Emma, but I’m not exactly sure how it will factor into breaing the curse.

GAH!!! Guys, we’re talking in circles here. There will be those who think Rumpel was born evil and will die evil, and there will be those who think that he can change. Let’s just leave it at that. 😉

I agree that Mr. Gold would unleash hell on Earth if anything bad happened to Belle. And on top of that, Regina would have lost her leverage over Mr. Gold. She’s worth more to her alive than dead.

We probably all feel that Belle’s life is in danger. But on the other hand if Regina killed her, then that would be over for her. She would no longer have the upper hand over Gold and she would have to face his wrath. She would be done and the final battle would end pretty quickly, I think.

    *Fist Bump* Word. :ugeek:

Mr. Gold would unleash hell on Earth if Regina kills Belle. Besides, Regina needs Belle alive. She’s of much greater value alive then dead. As long as she has Belle, she has leverage over Mr. Gold.

    Welcome Scarlett! 😀

I also love Rumpel and the Mad Hatter. The writers have done an amazing job with the male characters on this show.

And of course you can have one of the banners. I posted them on the site a few weeks ago for everyone to choose from. You’re definitely welcome to have one. 😉

Can’t wait to chit chat with you in the forums! Goodluck! 😀

No, it was recently confirmed that the show can do Peter Pan. Here’s the link:

Ok, how about a change of topic? 😀

What direction do you think the writers will take Rumpel/Mr. Gold’s character in season 2? I know it all depends on how season 1 ends, but it’s fun to predict the future.

You know a show is must be good when people become this invested in the characters 😉
I just wanted to throw out there that I think through all the bad deads Rumple has done, he is willing to redeem himself for Belle and his son. Do you guys think he can be forgiven? What must he do to fully redeem himself?

Good point. Only a truly brilliant show could us riled up like this. 😀

I think he can be redeemed but only through the love of his son and Belle. Those are the only two people Rumpel ever truly loved, and it will be their love that will bring back into the light. Even though I would love to see him willingly work with Emma and Mary Margaret, I don’t see that happening anytime soon. Rumpel will only make sacrifices for those he truly cares about. Hopefully, after enough time has passed, he’ll become attached to the town its residence. It would be nice to see him be the “good guy.” But that wouldn’t be terribly realistic, would it?

I kind of see Rumpel’s eventual fate ending like Spike’s from Buffy the Vampire Slayer. He spent his entire life being selfish and violent, but in the end, he made the ultimate sacrifice and gave his life up for the greater good. I would like to see that happen to Rumpel.

I have a feeling Rumple will do anything to keep her alive. He has spent his whole life regreting he lost her, once he has her again, he will never let her go. This puts a lot of people in danger if he is truely willing to do what ever it takes.

Very true. The show has given us numerous examples of how love and revenge can result in absolute disaster. Regina’s whole reasoning for casting the curse is because she wanted revenge for what happened to Daniel. This could easily happen with Rumpel too. But let’s hope it doesn’t. 😯 😯 😯

Zoso was only taunting Rumpel so that he would kill him. I think that was made quite clear in the episode. So, I still think Baelfire is his biological son. And even if he isn’t, that doesn’t automatically translate into “Rumpel probably kidnapped him.” The mother probably left him or died. And there are also a lot of theories going around that suggest that Cora may have been Rumpel’s first wife, and if that’s the case, then I’m glad Rumpel raised Bael instead of Cora.

But I’m confused as to why you label Rumpel a coward for running away from war (a war that asks young children to kill), but the criticize him for killing the knights at the end of episode. So, it’s ok for him to kill in a war, but not to kill for his son? Personally, being a coward or refusing to fight another man’s war doesn’t translate into being a coward. Why risk your own life for another man’s war when you can risk it for the life of your child.

And also disagree with your comment about Rumpel “doing evil for evil’s sake.” We all know why he became evil. He’s possessed by the power of the Dark One. Even someone like Mary Margaret or Emma would eventually succome to it’s power.

And of course we don’t what his motivatins are. That’s been done on purpose. It’s not because the writers are confused about his character, it’s because the show needs to last longer than 1 season, so they stretch the story out. He’s hundreds of years old, has a lot history and mythology to tell, and is the creator oft he curse. So naturally, it’s going to take longer to tell his story than the Evil Queen’s or any of the other characters for that matter.
