Belle is probably going to get kidnapped in the same episode–I don’t really see how long they can stretch her story out much more. I’m not gonna judge until we see the episode, but it already seems a bit much with her meeting up with Mulan and going off to save a village. I want her to be brave and adventurous, but not to turn into another warrior like Mulan and Snow White.
Judging by the spoilers and the promos we’ve seen, it doesn’t look it. And I’m sorry, but not every girl who picks up a knife is Snow White.
Preach.
Besides, Belle stated in “Skin Deep” that she always wanted to explore the world and be brave, and this is what she’s doing. I don’t think it’s forced at all. It’s completely in character for her. And I doubt we’re going to see Belle tackle a bunch of warriors and kill them. She’s not a natural soldier, so she’ll probably have to use her wit and intellect to defeat the demon.

midnight drearyParticipant^To be fair, Regina is the most powerful woman in the world (next to the Blue Fairy). so, there’s only so much Belle can do against her. Belle could fight her off, but all Regina has to do is use magic. That’s not really Belle’s fault. So, I wouldn’t mind having this be the episode where Belle is captured by Regina.
midnight drearyParticipant*Desperately trying to hold in tornado of Belle feels* 😯
midnight drearyParticipantI’m going to be completely biased and say Team Rumpel. He’s a fav of mine. However, in reality I’m on Team Belle With a Gun. She looks good holding that gun. :ugeek:

Sorry, but I think Belle looks phenomenal. Belle’s story is very different from Snow’s, so I don’t think the writers are going to use Snow as a model for Belle in this episode. And not every female warrior needs to be compaired to Snow. Mulan is a warrior too, but she’s nothing like Snow.
Yes, I agree. I think Belle looks awesome. I also think it’s a little unfair and a bit presumptuous to assume that every female fighter on the show is an attempt from the writers to turn them into another Snow White. Belle’s story is nothing like Snow’s, so there’s no way she can become another “Snow.”
Besides, Belle going off and having an adventure with Mulan makes sense for her character. She said in Skin Deep that she always wanted to run off and see the world. And in particular, she said that she always wanted to be brave. And this brief encounter with Mulan was her chance.
I completely agree.
It’s not like Belle’s going to start killing war lords and saving villages. That photo with her holding the sword is probably a scene where Mulan attempts to teach Belle how to fight. It’s probably going to be a nice playful scene. Belle’s smiling in the photo, so I’m assuming it’s meant to be fun.
midnight drearyParticipantOMG! Belle looks AMAZING! 😮

As for the whole debate here about Regina being evil, which I have admittedly not read through that throughly, it’s funny how everyone’s quick to say she’s bad for Henry and she’s dangerous to him and so on. Because let’s face it, it wasn’t Regina’s fault that Henry died in the finale. It was Gold’s. He was the one who trapped Emma in the elevator and he was the one who prevented them from getting to Henry in time, all to get his magic back. Regina just benefited from that too, but she would never endanger Henry’s life to get magic.
I know there’s a lot of Dearies on this board, and I don’t hate Rumple or anything like that. He’s one of my favorites actually. But there’s also no doubt in my mind that he’s the most evil character on this show.Whenever Rumple does his evil thang, I’m in awe of the magnificent bastard. But I daresay most would agree that no matter how much you may love him, you’ve gotta admit he wasn’t a great father figure for Bae once he resorted to dark magic. Same deal with Regina, she’s fabulous when she does her thang too, and she’s not a good mother figure as a result. Neither of ’em should be entrusted with the welfare of a young child IMO.
Basically. 😆

But Regina has sacrificed children before. All the children she sent to the Blind Witch were eventually eaten. Hansel and Gretal are the only ones who survived.
How is that Regina’s fault? It was the blind witch who ate them.
Yes, that was partially Regina’s fault. She sent innocent children to steal something from an insane witch who eats children. Come on dude! 😆 Why didn’t she go in herself? Why did she send in children who had no way defending themselves to steal something from one of the most powerful people in the Enchanted Forest? She did it because she didn’t want face her enemy herself (much like what Rumpel does).
Ugh! I hate arguing against Regina. She’s one of my favorite characters, so this debate is literally killing me. 😡

No that’s not what I’m saying. I’m comparing her and Rumple and saying that Regina is bad but Rumple is worse. Regina wouldn’t let Henry die, but Rumple would have.
They are similar in the way that they wouldn’t let anyone stand in the way of their children, but Rumple had done it on a much larger scale. Regina just went after Snow and Charming, while Rumple pulled strings all over FTL to get to our world.
And Regina has so far actually done things to redeem herself. Gold hasn’t showed any interest in that and keeps using magic and kidnapping people. He was even about to let Emma and Snow die on their way back from FTL through the portal but Regina made a choice to negate that magic so they could pass through. To be perfectly fair, it’s not like Regina hasn’t played the puppet master either. She sent innocent children to retrieve the poisonous apple from the blind witch…most of who died in the process. She betrayed her friend Maleficent so that she could steal back the Dark Curse she gave her. She set up the Genie and framed him for King Leopold’s murder just so that she could get revenge on Snow White. She kidnapped Belle because she was “an important chess piece.” And she killed her own father to cast the Dark Curse.
Every villain on this show has manipulated or cheated in order to achieve their own selfish goals, and each one of them was converted to the “dark side” by someone else. A lot of people like to blame Rumpel for turning Regina evil (which is partially true) but people forget that The Dark One manipulated and fooled Rumpel into taking the Dark One’s place. He disguised himself as a poor begger and betrayed Rumpel’s trust. Everyone has been manipulated and everyone started out innocent. So saying that Rumpel is more evil than Regina is false. I think they’re equal. Each of them has manipulated and used people on a grand scale. It just so happens that Rumpel was better at it.
