I guess they didn’t want to interrupt the seriousness of the fight scene…and I’m pretty sold Regina realizing Henry’s dad is Rumpel’s son will be comical. Really hope they don’t brush it under the rug. She was the one in the pilot to ask about Henry dad – if he’d be showing up. Would feel strange if these two just interact a season or two later and are like ‘oh – you!’
I’m guessing Bae doesn’t know that Henry was adopted yet – that Emma didn’t raise him. So maybe their just waiting for the planets to align so everything can boil over at just the right time. I’m hopeful at least! 😀
We better get to see all of that! Major family drama is bound to ensue and it should be awesome! Personally I’m hoping that we see Emma & Neal walk back from wherever it is Cora sent them and have them have a heart-to-heart about a lot of things, culminating in them arriving back in town only to find…the bug!
As for the Regina of it all…that should be epic on all sides. Regina will be upset about Henry’s dad being in town / annoyed at the Bae reveal because of its connection to Rumple. NealFire will be upset that Emma didn’t keep his kid and put him up for adoption, and Emma’s gonna wonder how she became the bad guy in all of this since he listened to Pinocchio and left her to rot in jail. *Imagines lots of yelling and emotional goodness resulting in something positive that makes me like the pairing more*
This. Better. Happen.
(Not that I’ve given up on the conflicting ship…this just has lots of potentially yummy ways to address important storylines regardless of any ships being involved)

Awesome sneak peek!!!!!!!I can't believe it:Henry putting together a plan to stop magic??He could end up causing more trouble!!!!!!!!!!…..and,darn,Maleficent's not gonna be in this one.I was hoping to see if she was a dragon or human forced to change into dragon when the curse hit
They could always just show the dragon since they wouldn't need the actress to appear for that and I don't remember the dragon being able to talk.

MysteryKat25ParticipantJust a side note: I’m not posting here to be mean or anti-SwanFire or anything. Even though I am a CaptainSwan fan I do see the potential in SwanFire and frankly if it’s gonna happen I just want them to win me over and I’ve seen a couple of missed opportunities lately. I’m very open-minded on it, really I am!

I do think Owen is young Greg but this is Intresting considering the last name
Celtic Meaning:
The name Owen is a Celtic baby name. In Celtic the meaning of the name Owen is: or Eugene. Also Kurt means Advisor
EUGENE?!? As in…Eugene Fitzherbert? (can’t remember off the top of my head but also Irish) who became Flynn Ryder?!? (I knew the last name of Flynn was bugging me because it didn’t make sense that they would use that for something non-Tangled-related but uh…EUGENE!!!…in which case how is this kid an outsider to town and not under the curse?? SO many things to rethink now!

MysteryKat25ParticipantGreat questions. We saw that August mailed a package to Emma in jail from Thailand so did he come back at any point and see Neal again or did he simply keep his promise about sending the postcard and then stayed in Thailand until Emma arrived in SB? I’m not convinced he ever said she wouldn’t be available when the curse broke (or how he might have known in detail what would happen at that time). Also, August did keep his word and sent the postcard which leads me to believe that he never told Neal any such thing. If he did then that’s more excusable but until I see it this is all I have to go on. I really think August was only involved long enough to send Neal away from Emma and then he took her money and ran off to Thailand and sent her the car keys.
I’m not saying I’m completely opposed to the SwanFire thing (and I’ve admitted before it’s probably endgame. I’ll deal as long as they make it worth it for me). I’m just saying that right now as sweet as some of the little moments can be, there are still major issues above and beyond just the fact that he has a fiancee. From what we actually KNOW, he fully expected to get the postcard, was begrudgingly doing what August wanted him to do etc, and then had a major turnaround where he either gave up or decided it was for the best when they parted ways last time – even though he then tried to send her money and give her a car – looking forward to him seeing that car again though!
The rest of it is just little issues I have with Neal currently (as much as I DO like him) because he’s basically sitting there making fun of her and oh how cute you’re jealous when he should have said something earlier instead of flirting around like they’re still teenagers and conveniently forgetting about Tamara until he needs her car. He had the whole way to the car to explain it (and it did look like he was about to before she showed up) but to mock Emma now is a little self-serving: he wants her to feel that way, he’s happy she does, and he did start to apologize for the way she found out about Tamara – I just don’t like the way he’s handled it because it does seem a little selfish / mean toward Emma. He’s trying to have his cake and eat it too.
And then there’s the bar thing: he totally had the opportunity to win me over when Emma was pouring her heart out saying how much she loved him back then and was hurt by it and instead he just glossed over it with well something good was supposed to come out of it (which it did: Henry) and it’s all fate, destiny, etc. He sure as heck didn’t fight back and say he loved her! I was waiting for him to stand up to her the way he eventually did to Rumple in his apartment when he protected her. I expected them to yell, scream, do SOMETHING, and he just bemoans destiny and acts like it’s no big deal. If he wanted to prove to her that there was “good reasoning” behind it and not just taking advice from Pinocchio this would have been the opportune time. Heat of the moment, high emotions, adrenaline rush: I wanted the argument and it was one-sided! Emma was the only one talking about feelings. Yes Neal said he wanted her to be with her family again…but he basically said “and I don’t want anything to do with that world / life so that’s why I walked away so easily.” THIS was the biggest issue I had with it. Even if he’s just talking about the past (she did use past tense) he could have saved himself over and over in Manhattan saying that he did all of this because he loved her and he never once used that word!
Now in all fairness he may have felt guilty because of the Tamara thing and making love declarations to exes isn’t overly helpful in that situation but using past tense would have been ok. I was expecting him to say something like “I LOVED YOU TOO, but blah blah blah.” …he didn’t do that. He could have alleviated so much of Emma’s obvious pain by saying he cared about her too and that’s not what any of this was about, and he chose not to do that.
Kinda goes along with the “lost boy” / Peter theory – they were always just looking for a “mother” to make them feel loved and Peter was never very good at realizing what was right in front of him until it was too late (ended up with Wendy’s granddaughter rather than Wendy herself). Right now he’s still got tons of chances / ways to fix it but I want that conversation. I WANT him to say it rather than just be gleeful over the fact that she’s apparently jealous when he created this situation on his own.
As for August and what he may or may not have told him…August better get ready for Emma’s wrath cause now he’s ruined her life twice over (once in trying to fix it and put her back on the right path but still) and regardless of what he said it does not *currently* excuse Neal’s behavior. He still chose staying away from Rumple over building a life with Emma. The only reason he’s still around is because Hook almost killed his dad, and because now he knows he has a son. Otherwise he’d have stayed right where he was the moment Emma said they were leaving and going back to the rest of their family.
He may come around soon, I hope he gets his act together, I do enjoy their interactions: it just doesn’t excuse the lousy behavior he’s shown recently, even when not meaning to. I expect a good long conversation addressing some of these things on their walk back from goodness knows where Cora sent them. Give me SOMETHING to WANT to love about him (in general he is lovable, albeit sometimes misguided) and not just have him keep making fun of her jealousy and enjoying it when he’s still with someone else! Such a guy thing to do *growls*

MysteryKat25ParticipantStill could be. Perhaps Regina wipes their memories and gives them fake lives and sends them back out into the real world and then seals SB to stop that from happening again. They just start out as those people and the rest would be a reveal within the episode. Don’t give up hope til you have to!
Keeper of Hook's Trenchcoat.
MysteryKat25ParticipantThanks for that! Is anybody else thrown a bit by the last name of Flynn? Seems like they would have saved that name for only the Flynn from Tangled…
Either way soooo excited for this episode, can’t wait to see what that first week was like and get to see some old favorites we haven’t seen much of recently! (Doesn’t hurt that Jamie Dornant is in every article as the main picture!)

MysteryKat25ParticipantOne of the parts of Cora’s personality is making people who formerly wronged her pay for their mistakes (in her mind) and show it. She turned the random dock guy into a fish because she didn’t care and needed to make sure that nobody knew they were in town. She lets others live so that they can watch as they fail. It’s probably where Regina gets a lot of her ideas on revenge: it’ll be more painful for them to not remember they love who they love and I get to watch them be separated. I get the last laugh. It’s very similar to Cora wanting them all to kneel because she never would again.
So my guess is that Cora and Regina don’t mind just tossing people aside and continuing on because it shows their power. They like to feel superior.
Keeper of Hook's Trenchcoat.
MysteryKat25ParticipantOh I agree, Rumple definitely needs to make a little progress right now since he just got NealFire to have a moment with him. I think he’ll be very conflicted for awhile because of the Henry / undoing issue, but having NealFire back in his life, and making progress with Belle. I really think that phonecall made up for the fireball first impression and that she might agree to a date at this point which makes me happy. I think watching him court her all over again may reallllly help him for awhile at least. It’s nice to see Belle’s influence on him even when he had essentially given up for a bit. Definitely gives me hope that he will get there, it’ll just take a little back and forth. Poor guy is 2 steps forward 1 step back sometimes. If he didn’t at least consider doing the wrong thing once in awhile it wouldn’t work but the potential is definitely there and I think he has made progress. Perhaps almost dying will help speed that along. It got him his Papastiltskin moment as well as a way back to Belle which he really wasn’t doing well at getting before that.

If he, after the episode The Miller’s Daughter, hasn’t learned from his past mistakes then I question the writers and what they’re doing. I want it to be hard for Rumple, but at some point the man has to learn. Its called character development.
Agreed. While I can understand Rumple can’t be completely happy, because if he has no drama then there is no show, but there have been way more downs than ups this entire Season. Making everything too unhappy just makes the audience feel depressed and the show is no longer that fun to watch. Rumple should continue to have drama, but he should be faced with new challenges rather than going back and forth with the same challenges. It’s the same problem with Regina’s character.
As annoying as some may find it some of it makes sense. With Regina especially we see this addiction to magic and most addicts can’t just flip a switch and never even think of going back to it, especially when bad things are happening. Rumple is guilty of this as well because he just can’t see a way of doing things that don’t involve him having power and his pride makes him think he can get absolutely everything and keep it. It would be way too unrealistic if they have a moment of clarity and do 180 degree personality switch. Habits, good and bad take time and even moreso on the undoing side of things. If any of that had happened people would be crying foul on it being too fast. It’s a marathon not a sprint.
