It is indeed! I’ve lost track of what I’ve liked/reblogged on tumblr. Easier to hide in a bubble over there and people have the option of staying out of the tags or just blocking anything they find offensive. Here I’m just staying in our little corner of the world.
I don’t think I’ve ever felt so vindicated. That’s not gloating and I have a lot of friends on the other side of things so I’m really really really trying to keep it to little safe areas for now, but we’ve just been beaten down sooooo many times that it’s refreshing that they finally get to say it was there all along and they lucked out that what they wanted to have happen worked. ALL of the press around that episode was encouraging of CS and then it divided the fandom so much that they started being more diplomatic and having to wait and wait and wait until basically it’s to the point where we hopefully get an answer as to who Emma’s TL is. Even now all they’ve said is what we’ve known all along – Hook’s in love with Emma.
I expect the tone of some interviews to finally change a lot after the finale and on top of that, they won’t have to even try to hide anything anymore (not that they have poker faces AT ALL) and JMO’s interviews lately have been so happy and excited and it’s just nice to get to see them really be more open about what we’ve been saying all along. She’s been excited about the finale for awhile now so I can’t wait to see what she was reacting to!
And just imagine the interviews we’ll get after that! Something big will probably happen like it always does for every couple but I hope we get at least a little bit of time where Emma’s allowed to be happy. It’s kinda sad that we have to celebrate a SMILE because it’s so rare!
I needed something good to happen so badly so glad we finally got something awesome and crystal clear! Yesterday was so rotten on so many levels and I just needed a good day to balance it out so this is great (I have mild to moderate depression – nothing extreme!!! – so bad days tend to spiral quickly and they’ve added up lately. Was definitely due for a good day and this has started today off wonderfully – can’t wait to see what happens in the finale as that looks to be great too!!) 3B has definitely put everyone through the wringer and has been dark and angsty but that just makes the payoff so much sweeter. People tend to appreciate things more the harder it was to get them in the first place and goodness knows most of the best stories have angsty parts in there somewhere. TL isn’t easy but it’s worth it!
Hope people are sending Adam lots of love! I plan to at some point. I try to stay *mostly* neutral on twitter as I have a lot of SF friends but I see all their tweets so one every once in awhile from me shouldn’t be the end of the world. I just want Adam to see how much it means to us to finally hear it. He gets so much hate and it’s easier to say how much you hate something than it is to say how much it means. Amazing what one simple word can do! (One that already had emotional weight from other stuff for me but now has a shiny new CS layer – not that doubted but it’s so nice to actually hear confirmation!)
I’ve been trying so hard lately to stay positive and optimistic (not my usual state) in life in general (it’s been rough lately) and holding on to that belief that it was always meant to be for them has helped with that but to hear it officially confirmed! I haven’t doubted in ages but that doesn’t stop the hateful comments and attempts to rip that faith apart and tell us point blank we’re wrong and they changed things for us etc etc all along the way so to truly hear that we haven’t been imagining things or fooling ourselves, that he was always intended to be in love with Emma which is why they set them up as kindred spirits on their beanstalk adventure, is just so rewarding. Thankful beyond words they can finally talk about it without having to be too cagey. Hoping for lots of wonderful interviews over the summer for sure! (And loving looking back over the old interviews where they were sneakily/not-so-sneakily setting stuff up! “She’s our Princess Leia,” indeed!)
*leaves cookies & bunnies for RG* – I don’t know how you mod both sides. It would be way too draining for me and would just cause me to spiral into a deep dark place moreso than usual.

So I didn’t imagine just waking up to the best interview we’ve had in forever because they FINALLY got to confirm what we’ve been saying all along?!?!?
I mean, there were even hints of it on one of the audio commentaries where someone (can’t remember who now) was saying how thrilled they were that he worked out so well in the part because they didn’t have to shift things. Can’t remember the wording right now but amazing what one little word “ALWAYS” can do to brighten your day!
They haven’t been able to say much in forever and usually the questions directed at them are a bit more….aggressive? But they’re close to finally being able to talk more freely and I can’t wait until everyone can! (Not that Colin and JMO haven’t been giving things away with their looks and giggles all along – no poker faces lol), but yay!
TECHNICALLY all they said so far was that Hook was always intended to be in love with Emma but I’m pretty sure that super soon we’ll finally get confirmation that they were always supposed to love each other (especially since interviews from S2 talked of a love interest for Emma that might be a villain, JMO’s interviews from when Manhattan aired etc etc. It’s just been building and building for us. Can’t wait to see Jane & Christine’s tweets once they can talk too! They’ve always been supportive and hoped we’d be shipping them after seeing 2×06!)
Trying not to get my hopes up too high cause I feel like every time I’ve done that this season they’ve thrown a curveball but that one word seriously brightened my day. Bouncing off the walls which is soooo much better than things have been for me lately, show-wise or not. It just feels good to be HAPPY about something again.
Can’t wait for the finale!!

I’m slightly calmer now.
I’m just really hoping the finale experience isn’t ruined by negativity. It’s tough seeing how much people seem to hate the show now but after a half-season of so much drama and angst, we’re finally close to the big season finale payoff and I hate the thought of that getting ruined like every other episode has.
Real life loss puts a lot of things in perspective I guess. Dealt with way too much of that lately and going to funerals / planning for one coming up. I’m still emotionally devastated by tv shows but I’m emotionally drained in general and sick of arguing with friends over stupid stuff (and worse, having the same arguments / comments every single week because people think that by our saying something we’re trying to convince them when we’re not. We’re just trying to ENJOY the show in and around the negativity.)
Kind of hard to have 2 chats going on in the same chat and on principal I resent that CS always seems to get banished elsewhere and are made to feel unwelcome unless we have something to complain about too, but it is what it is. I’m not usually angry until I go in there and told how awful everything is and then I just want to complain about the complaining since a lot refuse to accept that maybe it was always intended and has been set up from the start and they might have been wrong instead of everything being suddenly turned around because of the fans. I guess we just imagined a lot of those bread crumbs along the way. Kinda like taking a random guess at a math problem and getting the right answer?
Personally I believe A&E are WAY BETTER than that and have left excellent clues but from the way the fandom has been attacking us, it feels like we only got the right answer by “pure dumb luck” in their eyes, or worse, “fanservice” *rolls eyes* – it’s been there from before his episodes aired. I’m sick of hearing it.
Most episodes I find a way to deal with it but I don’t think that’s a good idea for the upcoming one, so a CS FRIENDLY area would be nice to go to for sure. The finale looks AMAZING and I refuse to let people who are convinced there’s no hope left for anything destroy it for the rest of us. I categorically refuse. *stomps foot*
ON TO HAPPY STUFF
There’s so much exciting stuff going on and I can’t wait for the episode to air! I want to focus on HAPPY things and the finale looks like it should have a lot of awesome callbacks as well as excitement for us *fingers crossed* (It sounds very promising from the teases I’ve seen so far!)
First time we won’t have been spoiled by early viewings as well so it should be interesting! So many wonderful things I can’t wait to see and I am trying so hard to be positive and then others tear things down again. I don’t need that. Way too many bad days recently that I really need to balance out.
So glad I’m “invested” in my other shows but they don’t stick with me all week as much as Once does! Goodness knows my shows are beating up on me emotionally right now on top of everything else but I’m trying to stay positive and avoid as much of the negative energy surrounding things right now. I’ve got enough to bring me down without fighting over interpretations of a tv show with friends.
I’m trying SO HARD to add more positivity & optimism into my life (I’m usually extremely pessimistic), but this fandom is ripping itself apart and destroying something beautiful and I hate when it brings me down with it. Thank goodness we at least get this tiny little corner. That’s something at least.
*goes back to happy place and continues listening to Gil (Prince Eric) singing from DC Con* (hard to be upset – he’s too adorable)
We’re closing in on Sunday! It’s going to be EPIC!

Working on a VERY long rant right now (not sure what I’m going to do with it just yet but I am beyond furious) so decided to pop in with pretty graphics instead.
I guess other stories that they’re blatantly paralleling to CS should have never happened either. Princess Bride for one (and she fell for a pirate who had a fearsome reputation but actually had a heart of gold imagine that! By the way he TOTALLY does the voice in 2×04 which *gasp* aired BEFORE we could have reactions to anything so was clearly always there). And then there’s Star Wars and our favorite “space pirate” Han Solo – guess he’s totally unlovable too, right?
Totally agree on the crickets comment – there’s a LONG list of how she’s ENCOURAGED his feelings but she’s never shut him down. Walls up? Yes (which he reads right through). Told him no? No. – Have I missed him asking her out a gazillion times or something cause I do not remember a question and response like this… He has never even pushed for a date. She made it crystal clear she had already thanked him before she kissed him and the second she walked away he respected her wishes. The guy could be accused of being like a lovesick puppy but pushy he is not. He builds her up and appreciates her and makes sure she knows she’s loved and believed in. THE HORROR!
Her remarks lately have been stinging but he hasn’t been forcing her to do anything with him ever. (Unless you count the kiss in NY in which case hey, let’s string up Charming and Rumple too cause they did that to their loves! *headdesk*)
Saw this gifset on tumblr. A couple (of many) parallels to Han x Leia which makes me happy. The writers blatantly said that Hook “Han Solo’d” back at the end of S2 (and we know SW is their favorite!) and they called JMO their Princess Leia and of COURSE she uses that as her name in the finale! Too bad she didn’t think of hers first or he could have been Han – though that would have been confused with Hans and people would be SURE he was evil, though Charles isn’t much better in my book though it makes for funny graphics I suppose).
And then we have some other fun stuff! (Trying to deflate my anger from the rant I’m working on still…)
The BTS pics – lots and lots of COUPLES. S1 we had Snowing and RumBelle moments alone in the finale. S2 we had the shots near the docks of Snowing, RumBelle, and CAPTAINSWAN. S3 BTS promo stills at Granny’s diner? Oh look, it’s Snowing, RumBelle, CAPTAINSWAN, and OutlawQueen! Love it! Also OQ has been added into the full length red TL look club. Last year (goodness knows on what page) we had Snowing, RumBelle, and CS in long red coats etc, and then Regina wore a red dress recently too! And of course we get the beautiful red ballgown for Emma as well! SO reminiscent of Buttercup! Can’t wait to see all those scenes in context and what is said during the DANCE!!! She seemed so HAPPY when he complimented her on the dress to put her at ease. How people are twisting even that is beyond me. He made her feel better about it when she was clearly uncomfortable in it. Old school gentleman charm indeed!
Would love a link to a happy chat room for the finale! Not even just CS but just want to be able to enjoy it in peace and be allowed to be happy about something without the bitterness and anger of the fandom tearing it apart.
Anyway, not sure if I’ll post the rant or not (it’s ridiculously long but a lot of it needs to be said at some point) but I do plan to write up my CSF / Jane Austen meta (I’ve been having a Jane Austen kick to get me through this week) so I’ll either link to it or post it here, haven’t decided yet. I may go hide out on tumblr.
No idea what I’ll do about S4. This place used to be an escape from the wilds but it’s easier to block out in the wilds and not offend friends at least. No idea when the “non-SFers need not apply* posters went up around the chat / site in general but I feel like it’s closing in bigtime. On principal I hate being banished elsewhere but I’m sick of the life-sucking drama and I hate fighting with friends. I’d love it if we COULD chat in peace or at least talk over each other and not get into fights but I’m not sure I ever see that happening. =/
Pretty sure she wouldn’t have been paralleling MM in S1 though by pleading with Killian to “come back to me” if she didn’t want him in her life in some way, even if it is easier to push him away right now and run away to NY so she doesn’t risk someone else hurting her again. So much easier to walk away first when you have trust issues (and she has massive ones). I expect the finale to show her finally facing some of these for sure. Can’t wait!

So excited for next week!
I am such a pessimistic person usually but I completely believe in CS & have tons of hope for them!
This was a rough week most definitely and it HURTS but some progress was made. Emma chose Killian over her magic. She knew the consequences and did it anyway. Even mad at him, she needed him to continue existing. She pleaded with him to be alive.
SHE PARALLELED MM FROM SEASON 1. “Come back to me” Exactly what MM begged David to do when he was drowning at the toll bridge. (I need a gifset of this)
I love that she didn’t even really think about it. She knew the consequences, she was already mad at him, but her panic/fear took over and while she was annoyed that Zelena did in fact figure out a way to force her to give up her powers, she couldn’t let him die. She’s lost so much (as has he) and now they’ve both seen each other recover from near drowning experiences. (Nice callback to 3×01 as well as a major parallel to MM/David in Season 1). It was very much an “I can’t lose you” situation or she wouldn’t have been pleading like that.
Playful banter by the end of the episode. Smiling. It’s how they reconnect. Emma was mad at him in the beginning yes, and she still has it in her head to run away back to NY (she’s dreaming – Henry would just run back to see Snowing and Regina. Has she met her kid??). I have every bit of faith that she’ll realize by the end of the finale that SB IS her home, with everyone that loves her there.
Speaking of smiling I LOVE how happy she was about her baby brother! (We still need his name, grrrr). We haven’t gotten to really see her around babies except for the fake memories of keeping Henry but she was SO EXCITED! I love Killian calling her on it too and appreciating how rare a smile is for her. Like Charming said, this world has been nothing but cruel to her and it’s nice to see Killian get to see her happy about something. (Cue future Pirate Family feels as well – if they’re that adorable just running to meet the “little royal” and Emma’s got that big smile on her face, can you imagine a future CS baby?? I vote for a girl named Hope or a boy named Liam – or both!)
I love that even though he had every reason to think that they all hated / were mad at him, he still showed up at the hospital when he heard the “little royal” was on his way. He showed up to help, just like at the end of S2, and because he cares. Love that! It hurt to see him standing there at the end though because he should have been there and once again was left just out of it, but to his credit he keeps coming back and being truly helpful, regardless of how mean they are to him, instead of being out for revenge or just going off and sulking somewhere else. He could easily have stayed away, but he had to make sure that everything was alright, and when Emma left him at the door, he still got to see the happy family (while wishing he was truly a part of it) and he saw her smile which I’m sure was bittersweet given what she had just said….but they’re back on good terms. They did their banter repair thing. He got validation that even after everything they’ve been through, she wouldn’t just let him die. She chose him over her magic, knowing her magic was supposedly the only thing that could help save everyone, and she gave it up to save his life while pleading with him to be alive. THE FEELS!)
There were definitely a few twists of the knife this episode. Her walls are up, she’s bitter, but she’ll come around. Look at Charming! Once he had time to cool off he completely understood what Killian went through. Emma is just using any excuse she can to not get her heart broken again. She was willing to put everything in the past because she believed that Killian would never hurt her like that and then something happened that made her question it and she uses it as an excuse to get out of dodge.
Speaking as someone who has trust issues, I totally get this. It’s hard enough to have one big dream, but to have others that bank on that first one kinda make it tough, especially if it ALL falls apart. Emma doesn’t allow herself to dream too big because she keeps getting knocked down. For the longest time it was just her and surviving, now it’s all about Henry and has been for awhile. Every time she’s even gotten CLOSE to having her parents (and everyone else in SB) in the mix, something catastrophic happens. She’s constantly in jeopardy of losing Henry (especially in S3) and she just wants to hold onto that so desperately.
Her life in NY was good – a little “too good” actually, but Henry wasn’t in danger there. She didn’t give him up as a baby, they were a dynamic duo and there were dreams of finally putting the past in the past and adding someone to their little family. Then what happened? ….
Every time Emma has a home, it’s been taken from her:
- As a baby – sent through the wardrobe alone
- Foster care? Given back when they had a kid of their own
- Between 3 & 16/17 – unknown but thieving and making it on her own
- 16/17 – meets up with Neal who promises her a “home” and ends up in jail
- Spends 2 years looking around Tallahassee to find Neal who promised her said home – never does
- Spends most of next decade on her own, wishing she weren’t alone (hello pilot feels), and looking out for #1, with no real attachments to anyone or dreams of anything real, just some temporary company for a night here and there
- Season 1 – takes the whole season to acknowledge just how much Henry means to her and almost kidnaps him to make it just the two of them and get him out of danger
- Season 2 – reunites (officially) with her family & gets swept into the EF via the hat
- Reunites (again) with her family, the town itself is threatened
- Saves the town but her son, her HOME, the one person she absolutely categorically NEEDS, is taken
- Season 3 – Saves Henry and reunites with her family and everything is well in SB and then the curse has to be undone
- The curse is undone and she has a nice fake life with an almost fiancee who turns out to be a flying monkey who only sorta likes her and then tries to kill her
- She reunites with everyone and is still considering NY because Henry doesn’t have his memories and she wants out, but is starting to bond with everyone again and is ready to put the past in the past
- Finds out that Killian was cursed by Zelena and didn’t tell her – the ONE person she expected to be honest with her
EVERY SINGLE TIME she tries to have a home with her family, she gets burned. When she got her memories back, she remembered every painful thing and on top of that, knew that she didn’t raise Henry and that perfect little life never really existed.
She’s struggling right now and she wants to keep Henry safe but Killian was right – she’s putting her walls up and is afraid right now. She keeps saying NY NY NY but she’s almost lost Henry HOW many times in SB now? He’s EVERYTHING and the only thing she absolutely can’t lose. She’ll end up staying and coming around to it I’m 100000% sure, but I get why she’s still freaking out.
It’s HEARTBREAKING to watch but I have faith. Killian can see it – he always reads her like an open book. I love that he calls her on it. He may go around in the background looking like a hurt puppy dog but he isn’t afraid to stand up to her either. They are EQUALS like Snowing and I love that about them. He knows that she needs to stay and it’s not even about him. Her parents are here, the rest of Henry’s family is here, the people who knew his father best are here. He needs to stay and Emma needs to stay, both for Henry and for herself. Whether she’ll admit that she needs Killian (she will I have no doubt eventually let herself believe in that again), she needs to stay in SB with the people who love her. (And again – can you REALLY see Henry staying in NY now? He’d totally run away again)

SO MANY THINGS!
They must put their thieving/piratey ways to good use to find some clothes to fit in. BALLROOM! DANCING! We get to see Emma at a ball in FTL dancing with Killian! Even if it’s to blend in/observe/make sure something happens, they will still be working as a team on a big adventure which, let’s face it, is when they’re at their best, like Snowing. Plus it really does look like they’ll get to witness/help Snowing in their early days to make sure they still happen so Emma exists which means we might get our pirate snark after all regarding how much Emma is like her mother!
Is he offering her the book while trying to get her to believe in herself again? It looks like it! I love how even when he’s hurting and she’s emotionally keeping him at arm’s length he’s still trying to help, and do what’s right, and build her up in the process. He’s not letting her wallow and fall apart. He’s helping. Plus it looks like she’ll be falling through the portal and once she does he likely lets go to join her. It reminded me a lot of the hat scene with the wraith where Snow jumps in after her because she can’t lose her again. Killian’s already been through a year without Emma and it nearly destroyed him. We know he definitely goes along for the ride so I’m hoping he doesn’t just get sucked in too but either way, he’s there so yay).
Seriously cannot wait til next week! I’m sure I’ve forgotten something I was going to mention but even though it was once again heartbreaking to watch certain things, I have every bit of faith that we’ll get a big payoff soon. *Fingers crossed!*

They’re not recreating that portal scene. If anything, it’s much more similar to when Emma was dragged into the hat by the wraith and Snow jumped in after her, since Killian is there with her.
As for Hook attacking Hook….wouldn’t you be surprised if you ran into…yourself? Should be interesting, especially since THAT Hook is focused on revenge and hasn’t had the character growth that Killian has been through since then.
Ballgown! Dancing! Even if it’s to blend in and find someone / make sure something happens / etc, we get to see Emma at a ball in FTL! (Guess their thieving/piratey ways will come in handy when it comes to finding new clothes to wear so they can fit in!) – I wonder if it might actually be at the Snowing wedding or something in which case they’d get to see Regina’s grand entrance as well.
That very first shot reminds me of Snow Falls for sure with the log in the road. Can’t wait to see how that all ties in. Love that they showed the net part – Snow Falls is what really hooked me into the show and is my favorite Snowing stuff so I’m excited to see that again and see how they fit it all together. And in the road they turned so it could be Charming & Abigail’s carriage coming their way. They’re definitely piling on the S1 feelings aren’t they?
Emma’s poster is the last one to be resolved this season so it makes sense that she wants to find “home” again. There are a lot of loose ends from 3×12 that I expect to wrap around here to her wanting that life and accepting that she can have everything and not have the rug swept out from under her every time. She panics and runs, it’s what she does, but she doesn’t have to anymore. She has a lot of people who love her in SB that she won’t really be able to leave (and let’s face it – Henry would just run away to go see them anyway. She’s kidding herself if she thinks he wouldn’t.)
Is Killian handing her the book when he’s trying to get her to believe in herself? Sure looks that way!
1 more week and we get answers and an idea of where we’re going next. Can’t wait!

That kid is so far beyond adorable they haven’t invented a word for it yet! Love this picture! The cast always gets along so wonderfully but it’s so cute to see them hanging out especially with the kids! Love that Roland is playing with the hook and pretending to be a little pirate. TOO CUTE! Love seeing them all just laughing BTS. (And I love that Sean shares things like this with us – he knows the power of that kid’s cuteness for sure!)

Found it. They specifically asked people not to repost it anywhere ESPECIALLY fanartfriday so…wonder if they’ve seen that yet and how they feel about it. Looks like they were already upset with someone who found it on facebook and made a new post about it instead of tracking down the original when the url was on the picture….I imagine they were still fine-tuning it for a future FFF and not sure if that was meant for today or not. Too many people have tweeted fanart they like vs made & then the wrong people get the credit for it from Adam because he isn’t aware of it. Such an awesome pic so I hope they sent it & meant to so they’re not discouraged from sharing more in the future!

Kinda surprised to see that one up there @Obisgirl! I saw it on tumblr the other day and the person was begging people not to submit it yet (I was under the impression it wasn’t finished or something) so I wonder if someone didn’t listen or if they finished it. I’ve definitely seen a bigger version of it on tumblr though. I’ll see if I can find that for you.
