Found this awesome one a little while ago (seriously jealous at how absolutely incredible it is!)
Hook & Emma “maybe I just needed reminding that I could”

Says everything I’ve been wanting to about the intentional setup they’ve been doing with these two, especially with regards to Tallahassee & And Straight On Til Morning.

MysteryKat25ParticipantJust wanted to share this with you guys cause it’s an incredible video and shows so many of those intentional moments that they’ve been using to set us up for CaptainSwan!

So many feelings I can’t stop watching it! It doesn’t have every moment ever but it does have a LOT of the history from Tallahassee and how it’s similar but with a different outcome in And Straight On Til Morning. Absolutely Brilliant!

MysteryKat25ParticipantThey seemed to imply that she has been to many different realms. Not sure if we’d get a crossover as they seem to want to keep it fairly separate but we might see some of our characters in flashbacks for her (like the Queen of Hearts maybe). That being said I’m not entirely sure about the continuity for the sets / lands and how things are depicted. It’s a stand-alone thing but then if both shows are showing a place like Neverland I don’t know what to think.
That being said it looks epic and as excited as I was for it before I am most definitely looking forward to it now!
Sadly it will probably be on against other stuff I watch more than likely but I will find a way to cope because I am a Oncer and want to support my Oncer familly. Is it fall yet???

MysteryKat25ParticipantI was literally JUST looking at that Obisgirl! (I’m addicted to tumblr now – so many friendly CaptainSwan people supplying pictures and ideas!)
There’s another one, I need to find it that shows Emma’s nursery and points out that there are 2 pedestals in her room with things mean to watch over her: a knight’s armor and somebody wearing a pirate hat….
That drawing is certainly interesting….Hook always says she'd make an interesting pirate but wow! I bet it was scrapped because they wanted her to be more real world to start off with and then they were having issues getting rights to use the Peter Pan mythology but WOW! She does look good in the coat even in a drawing…what are the odds Hook gives it to her to wear for real sometime??
I may have to reconsider the magazine (I still don’t have one).

Regular status doesn’t mean anything, honestly; both Raphael Sbarge and Meghan Ory were in this show and they were barely used in their seasons, while Claire Holt has never been one in Vampire Diaries and she had more of a storyline than several regulars in that show. What being a regular really brings is a name in the cast credits and more or less guaranteed wage even if you’re not featured in an episode or several.
I’m hoping that with the exception of MRJ–who makes total sense in the overall story–our cast is pretty much set for future seasons. From here on out, which land we happen to be in, the new characters should be guest stars who are relevant to the main characters storyline.
Agreed. I think after season 3 with it being split and most of the focus being on the NL group since that’s where most of them are that MRJ will join the cast full-time and that should be the core group for the rest of the run with as many of the other characters we know and love popping in from time to time in and around their busy schedules. It’s nice to see so many of them do well but it’s hard on fans and it can’t be easy for the writers who I’m sure would love to have them around all the time but just can’t.

Re: scheduling
At least we know Intelligence won’t be going head to head with ONCE as it makes no sense to put a show like that on at 8 on Sundays. I just hope it doesn’t go up against a heavy hitter. I can see it maybe being on Thursday? Following TBBT if they want a nice lead in. I’m excited for it though. Josh Holloway has been off my TV for far too long
Agreed re: Josh! Right now my tv schedule looks all nice and pretty but I’m waiting with baited breath for CBS / CW to release theirs. As per Thursdays that’s usually when Person of Interest airs I believe (Michael Emerson’s show – another Lostie like Josh Holloway) so I’d kinda like those two shows to be in a block of some kind. Maybe have it air after PoI so the people who are there for PoI / Michael Emerson will stick around when they see Sawyer coming up next right after having seen Ben. Seems like Lostie-goes-CBS synergy. *Fingers crossed*
I just don’t want any of it to conflict with what I already have on my list which…sadly it will. I have 4 shows on Mondays at 10 right now, two of which I haven’t caught up with in a long time because of it. Hoping the fall is a bit more spread out. Bummed that Revenge is still right after Once though. Have to record it so I can hang out with the podcast!
Will be sad to see Meghan go from Once but she sounds like she’ll be a key player in Intellilgence which will be awesome. Still trying to wrap my head around Sawyer & Ruby but looking forward to seeing what they do with the new characters! It’s been on my list of shows to add since it went to pilot. *Fingers crossed*

I have a hunch that they might have originally thought of keeping Cora around till the Season finale, since she was built up as the “big bad” for a large chunk of the Season. However, they got too excited at the idea with Neverland, so they wrapped up her storyline earlier and introduced us to Greg/Tamara as the new threat. The Miller’s Daughter did very much feel like a Season finale, though not as epic as the Season finale we actually got. This makes sense if they really did plan to keep Emma and Snow in FTL a little longer at first. Greg, Tamara, and Neverland could have been introduced at the start of Season 3. With a better layout for Season 3 planned out, I have high hopes that it will be way less clunkier than Season 2 was.
I think one of the other issues I remember hearing about was that Barbara Hershey didn’t want to be a regular. That meant wrapping up her storyline earlier than expected as well. I don’t think she minds coming back from time to time for a flashback here and there (and I’m sure we’ll see her on OUATIW sometime too) but she didn’t want to end up in a situation where she wasn’t getting as much storyline and not able to go anywhere else either I’m sure.
There are a lot of factors that could have changed the direction early on in the season and I too hope S3 is a bit more put together but I am super excited for Neverland!
Parts of season 2 dragged a little for me and I’ll be curious to see on rewatch how I feel about certain episodes. I think the biggest problem was the breaks and then coming back to not super spectacular stuff and/or heading into a break with that. Last year 15+ were amazing and this year it kinda dragged for me in the middle there and didn’t really hit it’s finale-run stride until literally part 1 of the finale! However the last 2 eps were amazing (especially the finale!) and I think they’re in a good groove now so things should be looking up, especially with the better scheduling.

MysteryKat25ParticipantThanks! Still kinda bummed it’s not going to bridge the winter gap but definitely looking forward to it!

MysteryKat25ParticipantSeeing that snippet of information about Queen Athena (which I totally never noticed or have completely forgotten) I think it would show more why Hook has a thing against mermaids. If a pirate ship was even accidentally blamed for killing one you would think Ariel would hate him and have a more antagonistic approach toward him and all pirates and with good reason.
I have FishHook as my backup pairing because of the idea they’re both ruled by the sea, should both be from Neverland etc etc but a) now I’m thinking CS has a much bigger chance and that’s my first choice by a long shot and b) Hook was in NL for who knows how long – but a very long time – and if the mermaids hate pirates and Ariel has a good reason to do so, they could be enemies rather than anything remotely positive. If it does go the romantic route it would be a bit too romeo & juliet for me (not one of my faves) but could still be interesting.
I like the idea that they will tie Ariel into Mermaid Lagoon in Neverland. There are a couple of red-headed mermaids in Peter Pan lol. I just think that if they go with the Queen Athena killed by pirates, Ariel is most likely to join up with whoever is against Hook rather than with him. Otherwise they’ve had a couple hundred years (will seem even longer in Neverland) and in all that time Hook wasn’t able to give up his love of Milah or his desire to avenge her by killing Rumple. He gave all of that up to help Emma save her family and friends and immediately offered to help find Henry, even thought it meant going back to Neverland (he didn’t look overly happy about that) and allowed Rumple onto his ship with nothing more than a glare, even though he’s spent forever trying to kill him. He called a truce on that putting everything else first and that is HUGE. So I’m not sure how they could justify him spending a lot of time in NL potentially around Ariel and then say it’s a pairing that’s meant to be. Waiting to see how it plays out but I think she’ll either hate him or not have a lot to do with him not sure. She could pine for him but as I said above, but he had sooo much time there and didn’t give up Milah/revenge on Rumple for her in all that time so that would kinda bug me a little. Plus I still want Eric.

This is sad news. I was excited when she was promoted to regular at the beginning of this season, but yeah, I understand why I chose to look for work elsewhere. She had one major backstory episode and the rest of the time, served as a babysitter for Henry.
Pretty much. I enjoyed her much more toward the end of last season so was excited to see where they went with her but Child of the Moon wasn’t nearly as exciting as Red-Handed was. (I do still wonder about that lair they were in though, something about it being from a castle that sunk or something?? I need to rewatch later obviously cause I’ve kinda blocked most of that episode out I think. *poor Gus Gus, I was rooting for Ruby & Billy!*
