MysteryKat25Participant
I also really hoping for an “I hate pirates” line from Grumpy if we can’t get “Ello Poppet.” Either way, having Grumpy on the Jolly Roger would be amazing. I know the Lady Washington (the ship being used as the Jolly Roger) was in the first PotC movie but I don’t think it was on that Pintel was ever on, haven’t watched it in ages though so I could be wrong.
Love the pictures those two post from real life, hope they continue to do so and I’d love to see Grumpy get to spend some time with Hook. These two are hilarious together.

MysteryKat25ParticipantOut of the ones that we know…
1) Rumple (Manhattan)
2) Rumple (Desperate Souls)
3) Granny when she was younger (Red-Handed)
4) Belle (Skin Deep)There could definitely be more in between but those are the ones we know of so far. Whether 1 & 2 are actually combined in a super long one or what we do not yet know.

MysteryKat25ParticipantBefore all the SwanFire flailing begins (so it can be buried here early on and then they can have all the fun they want) I just want to point out the line about Emma reminding Neal of Wendy. Hook reminded Emma of Neal. If Neal can move on with the person who reminds him of someone he cared about in the past but is (presumably) a bit different, so can Emma. Just saying.
On the flip side, it is sweet and as I’ve said elsewhere on the boards I’m really hoping that by the end of the finale, with so much focus on young Bae (whom I love) and Neverland and Hook, + their relationship along the way, that with many gaps filled in I’ll at least be a little more torn (I’m a super indecisive person – torn is a good thing, especially with ships in triangles). Hearing that there’s potentially sweet scenes makes me a little leery as I still want my CaptainSwan ship to sail into the sunset, but I have a lot of hope for this finale on a lot of fronts, including SwanFire stuff.
That being said, as per the rest of it…RumBelle – it will take something new and different from TLK??? (I want RumBelle back! At least that’s a ship *most* of us can agree on, and something new from TLK has potential to be interesting, it just needs to hurry up! *passes out cookies*)
The taser thing I’ve addressed elsewhere.
Regina, Regina…when do your plans ever work out the way you want them to? You just gave the enemy of pretty much everybody the only way to destroy you all, including Henry. *smacks forehead*
Peter Pan is different and we’re going to Neverland-adjacent?? *Most* of their twists have been pretty cool (and frankly I enjoy some of their “improvements” more than the original that inspired it – I always hated the original movie of Snow White for instance, as well as Pinocchio but love them now), so hopefully it will be an amazing finale.
PLEASE don’t let me down on Neverland. I have high hopes for that and for Oz someday. Wonderland was already mildly disappointing but at least that will hopefully be improved for the spinoff since they’ll have more budget in place for the main location I would hope! Neverland needs to be awesome and since they’re devoting at least these day eps to that story, as well as potentially in the future, and it’s the finale which always means epicness…I may start holding my breath just a little bit. Plus with some of the eps we’ve had recently, including 2 with no FTL flashbacks, I’m hoping that a huge chunk of the budget was set aside to make it super awesome. It’s H&K’s favorite story so *fingers crossed* they’ll do an amazing job on it!
As for someone dying possibly this week…=/ We’re running out of characters that I hate who aren’t obviously going to be alive and kicking come the finale. That doesn’t bode well. 🙁

MysteryKat25ParticipantIt wouldn’t surprise me if over time Hook discovered who Bae was and then pumped him for information and then maybe Bae overheard him wanting to go after Rumple and feeling used. We know Bae was furious with his father and trying to avoid him but we also saw when push came to shove that NealFire protected him. I could see how having another father-figure abandon him could come into play.
I just hope that their relationship is good for a long time. I like the idea that it might last awhile and then when things soured that’s when he left NL…it can’t have been TOO long ago, he had a lot of time to spend in NL but they may have started out close, became enemies, and then eventually he got out.

MysteryKat25ParticipantPhew, thanks! Hadn’t made it that far I guess. Still not sure how to embed tweets (and am always envious) since the so-called simple embed steps aren’t working but I definitely wanted it posted somewhere since the internet version of the article included a different picture. Thanks RG!
Edit: now that I look at it it was the other article was the one that included that picture, didn’t zoom in for the text til I saw this but it still somewhat applies here because of the Neverland mentions in the articles so something to add to the excitement regarding Neverland that is talked about here too! (Guess I was kinda focused on a smiling Hook being nice to young Bae…couldn’t help it).
*Happy Hook Fan!*
Also, poor Bae has been through so much (did I mention how much I adore Dylan / young Bae??) but even though he looks sad / confused / scared at least Hook looks like he’s being nice and welcoming! 🙂
I’m telling you, things didn’t add up with the way Hook spoke of the Lost Boys on the trip up the beanstalk. I don’t think they were always at odds or perhaps he once was one himself, but there’s definitely a twist coming up somewhere and I for one am thrilled to see that smile and kindness toward young Bae, at least upon his arrival. Looking forward to seeing how their relationship changed over the years to get to what we have now, but I’m not sure it’s as heated as people want to think it is, at least maybe not until Hook discovers whose kid he is or something maybe.

MysteryKat25ParticipantArgh, I can’t figure out how to embed the tweet (the code I thought would work is just showing up as code) but the guy who did that article tweeted a pic from the article in printed format with an interesting picture of Hook & young Bae which made me very very happy! It wasn’t included in the link to the article (different picture was shown) but apparently goes with it so thought I’d add it here since it all relates and I couldn’t find a thread about the tweet elsewhere.
Any ideas on how to add that in here? I tried to get the embed (media included) code thing and it just kept putting the code into the preview text…

MysteryKat25ParticipantInteresting stuff! Can’t believe it’s getting so close already!
Re: the taser – they have gotten tons of flack for that. 🙁 They’ve been saying for so long that their fans are smart (even though the network staff loves to dumb stuff down for us; sometimes ahead of time in promos) and then they have this moment of assuming we are smart enough to realize that’s not a normal taser and people attacked them for it because it was the instrument that caused something to happen they didn’t want and didn’t behave like normal ones would. =/ With this show anything is possible and most things have an explanation! Just not necessarily the very first time we’re introduced to something.
I think one of the main issues is that they have something happen and leave that thread hanging for later when it makes sense to tell that part of the story based on what is going on in future episodes and people mistakeningly call them plot holes. They’re not plot holes, they’re threads and some of them are even addressed in the very next episode! (Not the taser though, hoping we get that one soon).
A good example of this is Hook’s hook being enchanted. We heard him say he took Aurora’s heart but for the rest of the week all we heard about was that no version of Peter Pan ever had Hook having magic, and then the next ep showed us how he got the one-time enchantment on the hook.
The writers aren’t perfect, but they do tie up a LOT of the dangling threads, even if it sometimes takes awhile to get back to it. It’s not a procedural case of the week type thing where there would legitimately be plot holes. We KNOW we’re getting the flashback stories in bits & pieces, so while a lot of other stuff we’d love to see gets cut for time reasons, the WEAVING OF THREADS happens overtime, out of order, and in surprising ways. It’s part of the charm of the show and unless there’s something completely contradictory (in which case most of us are just waiting around to see how they’re going to explain the discrepancy), I wish people wouldn’t jump all over them, especially for things we’re clearly going to be seeing again ie: Tamara’s taser since it’s her weapon of choice apparently. If they gave each person’s entire story in one dose we wouldn’t have a show. Have a little faith & hope!
As for the rest: SUPER excited about some Hook backstory (hoping to see things that were mentioned in Tallahassee for sure!) and am happy to see young Bae again as I much prefer him to NealFire. Perhaps the transition between the two will help a TON. (I really do adore young Bae). I’m still in the NealFire Pan camp and maybe whatever happened to Bae in Neverland will make me appreciate the older one more, especially if they do go SwanFire for endgame (I liked that idea much more when all we knew was young Bae – kinda torn on if I like it now for what it actually is or just the connections it makes to Rumple at this point).
Hoping for some CaptainSwan moments in this big finale too. There were TOO many threads that hinted at interesting events in Neverland and the possibility of CaptainSwan from their interactions in Tallahassee and I want to see those play out bigtime. We haven’t gotten much at all since then for them without Cora interfering by being there and now that Neverland is on the horizon Hook should be more central to whatever is going on with the main characters including Emma, especially if the finale is Hook-backstory-centric. It’s about time, he’s been around all season! (And don’t bother giving me any of that hate-all-the-new-characters stuff, he was always meant to be a part of it from the beginning, it was a rights issue, not a shiny new toy and he’s been absent for weeks).
Looks like they’re planning to wrap around to the beginning of the season by bringing M/A/P back so yay for that, we haven’t seen any of them in awhile and that all needs to be wrapped up. VERY excited to see how they get Phillip back in this because I was adament from Broken that he could be saved and they’ve been gone long enough – one of the main criticisms has been that new characters get brought in and disappear – then we finally get a nice long story arc and they get criticized for that too, but these threads have been dangling all season and I for one am excited to reunite Phillip with Aurora (what is their ship name? He was on for so short a time I don’t even know! But they’ve been through enough trying to save each other, time to see them reunited).
Hoping SB won’t be gone for good as I’ve grown rather attached to it but I am looking forward to exploring other possibilities like time spent in Neverland and eventually (hopefully) rebuilding FTL. They’ve mentioned multiple times that various characters are keen to go back and rebuild and I’d love to see that. Especially since the glimpse we got of present day FTL has a lot of work to do. Would love to see Charming get to walk back through the nursery since Snow & Emma did, and I can’t wait to see Henry there, getting to see it all for the first time. Just gotta avoid those ogres.

MysteryKat25ParticipantUpdated to include Lacey’s love of Chicken Parmesan & white wine! Still need to do a complete show rewatch and add a bunch of stuff I’m sure but wanted to update with the newest stuff. 🙂

MysteryKat25ParticipantSounds like a great idea to me! I’ve been trying to keep the OUAT Cookbook page (see my Sig for the link) running but I haven’t done my rewatch yet and nothing’s been added lately (boo hiatus). That’s just a record of food we’ve seen in the show though. It would be great for people to be able to share their actual recipes and favorites food somewhere!
