MysteryKat25Participant
I think part of it has to do with the “we are both” thing and part of it has to do with where they are. I have a feeling if David & MM were in FTL they’d revert to Charming and Snow…it probably just seems too strange to them to do so in SB because the world is just entirely different and it seems out of place. I think if they ever get back to their more normal surroundings they’ll revert back…at least I hope.

MysteryKat25ParticipantI’m thinking what I read of the book was that it was about season 1, and there would be another later on presumably about season 2. I don’t think the entire book is episode 1. That said there are many different styles etc, I’m just irked by the very wrong “quotes” that don’t sound like anything our characters would say and are so different, yet it’s an official book. HUH?!? Why not do an official book right and use things that have been seen on screen (without adding in anything that may or may not be right) and then OK it with Adam & Eddie and make it official merchandise then. I just don’t get it!
They did the same last year with the promo department doing the “special” for people to catch up on the show…and they had Sidney narrate which was fine, and then they had downright incorrect facts! Why can’t they let the showrunners in on stuff? It’s like releasing HUGE reveals in the promos that you know would have been better to keep hidden. They don’t know the difference between tease and tell, so I can’t say I’m not shocked they’ve now made “official” books full of inaccuracies, but I am disappointed.

MysteryKat25ParticipantOr…it could possibly just be his way of talking “will not pan out” could be an unintentional pun. If it were coming from Adam & Eddie I may take that a bit more seriously, but Robert has never struck me as one who thinks about his word choice to that degree to outright tease things. So it could just be his style of speech.
Also there are several rumors regarding Peter Pan right now including the casting call for Felix which made some “news outlets” report it as fact that it was definitely Peter when that has in no way shape or form been confirmed so…there’s still hope!

MysteryKat25ParticipantThat’s presumably what the issue is but it feels weird to OK merchandising that isn’t exactly correct stuff…I think it could have been really well done and as long as everything was approved it could have been great and official and more of a collector’s item…now I just don’t know what to think. I’d hate to read it and be silently screaming the whole time about how wrong it has everything. It may be a nice refresher course between seasons to have a book out after each season, I just feel like it had so much potential to truly be that and instead I just find myself wanting to throw something for the quotes being all wrong!
I’m sure some will love it but perhaps not those who have spent a crazy amount of time rewatching / dissecting everything to the point that we know instantly the quotes are wrong. Not only are they wrong the rhythm was way off and it just didn’t *sound* like things any of the characters would say (to me, just my opinion).
I’m happy for anybody who does love them and I may give them a chance at some point but I couldn’t get through the first bit without getting annoyed. It just made me feel like I was watching a movie destroy a book…only backwards!

MysteryKat25ParticipantThat’s been basically my problem with with RumplesGirl – the quotes are all wrong and I know what they’re supposed to be and can hear it so I found it very distracting…

MysteryKat25ParticipantSomebody pleaseeee make a video of that! Now I have it stuck in my head and I want pictures to match!

MysteryKat25ParticipantThe abc site has the first chapter preview…I was really excited until I saw that. Not sure how I feel about it now. Seems like a lot of the stuff could have taken quotes right from the show and instead the “quotes” were paraphrasing from actions we’ve actually seen on screen. I feel like if they were going to tie it into the show they’d have been allowed to use the actual quotes….it just seems weird to me. Looking forward to seeing what others think.

March 21, 2013 at 9:48 pm in reply to: David Anders cast a recurring guest star on Necessary Roughn #181461MysteryKat25ParticipantWe might still get it, he has a habit of doing guest starring roles on all sorts of shows so I’m sure that if they have more to do with him they’ll find a way to schedule it in. There’s only 1 real thread left for him that we know of at least, and then the FrankenWolf stuff will have to take a backseat to their other shows for a bit. To think I hated it all last season and now that they know who they are I actually approve!

MysteryKat25ParticipantSomebody pointed out to me that it looks like it’s from The Doctor so unless they wanted to throw in more from that moment for no apparent reason at this point of the season, I think he’s just throwing out an old photo. I got excited for a minute too but given the fact that he kept the Frankenstein thing a secret for over a year I doubt he’d tweet a pic showing SS being back when it hadn’t been announced, people would be mad at him.

MysteryKat25ParticipantMushu is easily one of the coolest talking animal sidekicks ever. Love him! That said it would make sense unless they plan on actually bringing in a small dragon and having it talk that they would just give someone a codename of “The Dragon” so it could at least pay homage to it perhaps. Mulan was a great movie – one of the last great ones for a long time until Tangled actually. I’ve been surprised a lot lately that more haven’t seen it but you should give it a try 🙂 (If only for the love of Mushu! He’s adorable!)
