MysteryKat25Participant
Well since everything is always “for as long as I can remember” I would hazard a guess he just has no memory of anybody ever entering the town…kinda like when most were surprised to see August even though Regina was fuming and demanding Emma do some recon.

MysteryKat25ParticipantI need to rewatch…it sounded like that at first but it’s probably just his accent. I bet he said “town”

MysteryKat25ParticipantNew sneak! http://tv.yahoo.com/video/once-upon-time-clip-031313-162416389.html

MysteryKat25ParticipantHaha, true! Very good point.
I cannot wait for Hook to come back into the story. I’m curious about how he’s going to get there and what his reactions are gonna be, especially to his ship!
He never stays angry at Emma for too long though and I’m sure she’ll be the go-between for a lot of various people who are at odds with each other.

MysteryKat25ParticipantGood analogy RumplesGirl – I agree, S1 most of the stuff I preferred was the FTL stuff…and mostly because Snowing was wonderful there and frustrating at times in SB (love the story and it needed to play out that way…but David had some major issues!)

MysteryKat25ParticipantThat he is! Now if he can just show that softer side I know Hook has so that more people see it!

MysteryKat25ParticipantYep, the Hook heart-taking was a 1 time enchantment deal. Usually he doesn’t have any magic whatsoever, hence resorting to poison (which is totally a Hook thing to do – doesn’t Tinkerbell have to rescue the Lost Boys because she sees Hook put poison in a cake for them?).
It’ll definitely be interesting to see Emma learn more magic. She looks like she’s enjoying it a bit more (although it’s not super strong yet, though it has its moments).

MysteryKat25ParticipantThat…is an entirely different question and more than possible. That also begs the question of what happens to other random stuff that has been affected by magic: for instance, would that poor fisherman get turned back into a person instead of staying a fish? And goodness knows what other things would stop being affected by spells but I can’t remember for sure if there was anything else that specifically said what would happen in that case.

MysteryKat25ParticipantI’m of the opinion that we saw it once the camera view got within the cloaking of the ship because it should still have been cloaked. Magic done inside of SB (like the cloaking of the ship) should stay while outside of SB (like the shawl) but no new magic can be done outside of it. Therefore the cloaking should have stayed put.
When we first saw the scene we saw it come into view but I think it’s much like when we saw characters board the cloaked ship, we were suddenly invited into that view but to everybody else it’s still just a cloaked ship. They were more than likely close to SB at the time, but I still think it was cloaked. When they arrived on the dock they showed up in a little life raft so it’s hard to tell. Originally I thought that the Jolly Roger was nowhere to be seen and therefore they jumped off of it and it was still cloaked but they were tying up a little boat so I guess they couldn’t get close to the dock they needed (which is bizarre cause the JR was perfectly fine at that other spot and had plenty of room but I guess they needed to get where they wouldn’t be dragging Gold down a long pier to get to the car Snowing was waiting for them with. Also – the people driving the ship wouldn’t have known where the usual spot was. Gold would but NealFire & Bae were driving.
Either way I still think it’s probably cloaked and we just got an inside view as the ship crossed our path and not that it crossed the SB line. I could see it either way though.

MysteryKat25ParticipantThe letters: AFTJ itself = Association of Florida Teachers of Japanese or American Friends of Turkish Jewry…only connection I could make is that call numbers from Belle's purse were for a section on geography of & travel in Asia; “aft” by itself = At, near, or toward the stern of a ship or tail of an aircraft.
The numbers: 398 in the Dewey Decimal system is “folklore”
The plate itself is from New Jersey – Garden State, so it should definitely be an outsider
So hypothetically combining it all: Asian or Turkish folklore; Turkey is smack dab in the middle of Europe & Asia from what I can tell so it could be Asian folklore in general but how that connects to these people? I have absolutely NO clue but this is what I’ve found that connects to fairy tales. Looking forward to seeing what others come up with since we all attack things from different angles!
