About Rumbelle, I think the the ship hasn’t been treated as well as it could have been, by the writers. So in a heartbeat they went from “That’s the reason why I have to stay” to “You don’t get to decide what I want. I do.” I mean, HUH?
I totally get that the writers have to create tension in all the ships – they can’t just write Happily Ever Afters too early, otherwise there would be no show. 😆 But I think with Rumbelle their fight/separation was really sudden…at least it felt sudden on screen. I think one or two MORE scenes – like Rumple tearing down Belle’s posters of her father…or Belle finding out what Rumple did to Moe last season – would have made their conflict a lot more understandable. But instead, they had Rumple spinning gold and Belle leaving him.
BUT that’s off topic. I think we have to give a lot of credit to Jane Espenson for some of the show’s great ships, because she wrote/co-wrote “Skin Deep” and “Tallahassee”. I just hope that when other writers get a hold of Emma/Neal they think of creative ways to generate conflict in their relationship. I hope the “you abandoned me, you abandoned me, you abandoned me” doesn’t become the “you’re a coward, you’re a coward, you’re a coward” of the Emma/Neal ship, if you know what I mean. 😕

I’m so excited for more MRJ. At least we know for sure that we’ll seem him a lot before the end of the season. (Does this mean he works up the courage to show up in SB? 😉 Hope so. Or maybe wooden!August drags him back by the collar so that he earn “real boy” points again. Or maybe Emma goes to get him.)
Nice idea about the “original” Sleeping Beauty.
Have they announced the Belle-centric episode yet? Maybe this woman is Belle’s mother.
Or a younger Cora? (doubtful).
I love Megara too, but I think they’ll introduce her, if they’re going to introduce her, in a later season. They’ve already got a lot of loose ends to tie up this season (we have yet to see: what happened to Pinocchio, what happened to Bae, Frankenstein’s brother, what happened to Neal, how The Giant will return, fairies getting their magic back, Mulan’s backstory, Aurora’s backstory, Lancelot’s backstory/return, possible Hook in Neverland, etc.) and this is already 2×13 – past they half-way point of the Season.
Actually, I’m quite shocked that they’re still casting all these new characters. If anything, I’ll think the new additions will simply support the main characters we already have (like Belle, Mulan, Aurora, Hook), rather than be major fairy tale characters from other stories (like Aladdin, The Little Mermaid).
The one exception is the casting of Ethan Embry who is already slated to return as a major recurring character. 👿 WHO IS HE? PAN? BAE? NOBODY? Gah.
Good point. I don’t want an instant happy ending for Rumple, either (as much as I hate to admit it, being an obsessed Dearie.) I still think they could do a lot with a young-ish Baelfire though, seeing as Rumple brought magic to SB and obviously Bae will NOT be pleased about that. Also young Baelfire could have pretty interesting interactions with the Blue Fairy, Hook, and of course, Belle. And Henry! But anyways, Neal is probably Bae, so like I said…I’m just hoping against hope. 😉 I do hope they bring back Dylan in flashbacks, though.
On a related note, does anyone else think this show needs more kids? Just a few more like they had in Season 1, because it might help relate the stories to the younger audience watching the show with their parents. Henry’s fantastic – but what about Grace, or Hansel and Gretel? (shrug)
I agree! I think Jane’s tweets and K&H’s podcast are hinting towards more of Neal’s life before he gets to SB. Kind of a bummer that he’s kept away for so long – but then again, more Neal backstory would be great.
Plus, if Emma is forced to go and fetch “Rumple’s son”, I think her reaction would be quite scary if he happens to be Neal. I actually think it would be better – on Bae/Neal’s part – if he went to SB by himself, rather than hiding away and letting Emma find him. (Because if he knew the curse was broken and still didn’t come back….that’s kind of a jerk move.)
Another possibility: I think it would be adorable if Henry somehow found about Neal and went to find him. Yeah, probably won’t happen since Henry has a whole town watching over him. But one can hope. 😉 Imagine Neal walking home from work to find an 11-year old on his doorstep. Drama!

I wonder what Neal’s first gift to Henry will be? It’s sad that Charming already gave him a…horse and sword. Rumple gave him an elixer that allows him to control nightmares (and indirectly through Emma, walkie-talkies). Regina gave him a bike. Snow gave him his favorite book.
But Neal? Henry probably won’t be very interested in…a soccer ball.
…If he actually gives him a ball my heart will literally break. 😥
Maybe he’ll give Henry whatever magical wonderful thing is in August’s darn box. 😈

Wow! It’s like we have the same mind. I think they HAVE to do a Bae vs. ogre scene. They just have to. 😛 I mean, all this insanity started because Rumple was afraid to let Bae go to war, so if things are going to come full circle, at some point Bae is going to have to fight.
Also, MRJ just replied to someone’s tweet. Not sure what he means though…

Do we know which ep Barrett is gonna show up? *googling* Ep 11, apparently. Was wondering if the two characters might be linked. Same age, and she’s a “fierce hunter of deadly creatures” and he “has a very dark side and has beliefs and a way of life that he will fight fiercely to defend”. If they’re not both showing up in the same ep though, it’s probably unlikely that they’re linked.

And yup, MRJ said he would be back and forth from Vancouver until May. Thanks for the reminder Lil’Red! What I don’t get is that JMo and MRJ were filming Tallahassee during the first week of September. But MRJ was back in Vancouver on October 10th. Why. WHY.
