ParticipantEmma is so beautiful!!! The hair, the dress, everything is so beautiful.
Hook has a rose for Emma. Mary Margaret has a camera to document Hook and Emma’s first date, Charming is…I have expression for that but it’s not appropriate here. This whole scene is so beautiful. And Hook’s going to have his hand back for this special and beautiful occasion. Can’t wait for this episode.
Kristoff in those pics, I have a feeling is not really Kristoff.

ParticipantYou know Rumple can easily solve this problem by telling Belle the truth about what he did. If he would be honest with her, Hook would not have leverage against him, but Rumple is self-serving and probably thinks in his mind, I swapped the dagger – that’s enough. Belle doesn’t need to know the other details. Which is so incredibly wrong.
Thus far this season, I know, we’re only three episodes in, I am very unhappy with Rumple’s character. It’s not just him still lying to Belle, it’s his attitude towards other people to.
But I am looking forward to seeing the new Rumple and Hook dynamic again. In the promo, it looked like Rumple was flattered when Hook said that he knows him and he called him “my old crocodile.”.

ParticipantCharming: That’s what this family does. We find people. We always do, because we really… Really don’t like to give up.
Hook: Emma is not some conquest. I wouldn’t risk my life for someone I see as loot.
Whatever we become, it’s up to her as much as me.Mary Margaret: Stop saying letters!
Charming: I’m sorry, but why fight a battle you can’t win?
Anna: Those are exactly the battles you should fight.October 12, 2014 at 9:36 am in reply to: 4 x 02 WHITE OUT — FAVORITE AND LEAST FAVORITE MOMENTS #285187obisgirl
ParticipantWhat I liked about this episode:
Charming and Hook working together as a team to rescue Emma from the ice cave. The last time these two worked so closely together was in ‘Good Form.” (3×05). And here, it was to save someone they both love very much: Emma. And the talk, I think Charming knew that Hook truly loves Emma but he needed to hear it from him that what he feels, it’s more than a fling, or something else. And when they did rescue Emma, Charming lifted Emma into Hook’s arms.
The only part about the fairytale flaskback I liked was the interaction between Charming and Anna. It was cool to see her teach him his trademark sword moves and teach him not to give up on the people that he loves and become the hero that he is.
I enjoyed seeing Ruth again, even though she had a very small role in the flashbacks.
And yes, all the Captain Swan moments.
Dislike:
Bo Peep. I hope she’s a one-off episode villain and we seriously, never see her again.

ParticipantI’d still guess that MRJ wanted to leave and that’s why they decided to get rid of Neal. It really didn’t make that much sense, and it seemed so abrupt, especially because he wasn’t even in the two episodes before he died either, if I remember correctly. And just out of curiosity, I checked out his IMDB page a while back and I think Once is the longest he’s worked on one project–maybe he just got bored and wanted to move on. And it’s not like Neal’s storyline was all that exciting at that point either. Pure speculation on my part though, of course.
I think it was probably lack of screen time. I mean, even when he was present in 3A with our main characters in the Neverland arc, mostly, he was background character guy. And if you’re only there for the background and people forget that you’re there, you mine as well not be there, you know? And look at where the story is now? Haters were saying the story would end if Neal was the one who died, or the show would be cancelled.
We were picked up for season four and the premiere saw it’s largest ratings boost in 2 years!!! And the story is still moving along! So obviously, the show and the story of Once did not solely revolve around Neal’s presence. It’s not struggling as far as I can see.
Anyway, it seems like MRJ has a better gig now on that history drama, Sons of Liberty. He’s going to be playing two or three different characters.
Hook really is no danger of being killed off. I was reading through the latest posts on the 4×09 title thread and RG posted some interesting stuff, that Hook is very popular with the fans as well as the network and it would basically be suicide if Adam and Eddy tried to kill him. No need to worry about Hook. When he says he excels at surviving, he and the writers mean it. He’s not going anywhere.

ParticipantActually Sarah, I think 4×09 maybe Rumple centric, because I just remembered a very old interview Bobby did where he said by episode 9, things get bad for Rumple..
Found the interview where Robert said that.

ParticipantI’m just remembering an old interview Bobby did, that by episode 9, things get very bad for Rumple. We may start to see the fallout of him lying to Belle about the dagger.
Thank goodness I keep all my sources for my True Love meta.
Robert Carlyle added, “it’s going to be bad at the end of episodes nine and 10 for Rumple.” [x]

ParticipantHe’s good at surviving Sarah, no need to worry. This is probably the most vague title we’ve gotten for this half of the season. Until we get more spoilers on this episode, I’m not making any judgments.
