Regina called Emma ‘a dirty street rest’ <- Aladdin reference, lol.

I am very envious  of Emma’s red dress and Killian looked so handsome too.

As to the ball’s other participants, I didn’t recognize anyone else besides Charming, Abigail and King Midas.

Then again, I’ve only viewed the episode once now. I haven’t re-watched yet or looked at screencaps.

That was a beautiful vid and the song choice was very appropriate.

You know what I just realized, watching that? Both Emma and Killian outrun curses this past season using their vessels.

Emma used her bug and Hook, his ship.

“Here Emma! We’ve named your baby brother after the man you’ve repeatedly had sexual relations with!”

If they were so bent on doing this, they should have asked Rumple first. Because they barely knew Neal and while, yes, he was a hero to the very last, Snow and Charming have very little connection to Neal.

Yes, I agree. Other than the one flashback in the lost year in EF after their return, I don’t think they talked to him much.

I’m thinking now the final decision on calling him Neal ultimately came from Snow because she was Team Neal in 3a. Charming might have the same reservations that a lot of us have, that they didn’t really know him and couldn’t do this but I think it was Snow’s decision. I can see her really wanting to push for naming him Neal.

So if I’m right and it came down to Snow’s final decision, it’s not that surprising.

Regina humming the theme to Jaws, lol. That and Chopsticks are the only two things I know how to play on the piano.

I made a general thread for unanswered questions awhile back.  These could be posted in there 😉

Let’s be honest here for a moment, in general when a male and a female first meet each other for the first time, one of they key things both sexes look at first is how attractive they perceive the other person.

Then usually what happens after is that man and woman get to know each other and both party’s judge whether this person is worth pursuing or not.

I mean, the first time I saw my current boyfriend, I thought he was cute. I did find it very ironic that he has a beard considering how much young Obi-Wan Kenobi fan fiction I’d written where I love talking about Obi’s scruff. I just do.

But like it or not but physical attractiveness still plays a factor when it comes to relationships, so I find it very hypocritical for SwanFire fans to say we love Hook only because he is hot when I see Neal fan girls gushing over how hot Michael is.

Personally, I don’t think he is very attractive myself. But everyone has different sexy standards when it comes to men.

And as someone mentioned earlier the writers may just by-pass the expected homophobia by having same-sex relationships be nbd in FTL.

I think I would actually prefer them to bypass it. Not because it’s not an important issue, but because I fear it would get to PSA-ish. If you just show that homosexual love is NO BIG DEAL, is 100% normal, just like heterosexual love, and you don’t have your heterosexual couples weighing the merits of a homosexual love story then your audience might be more predisposed. But you take Charming or Snow or even a more minor character like George or Granny and put homophobic thoughts and words into their mouth, I think you run the risk of giving that position more power. Just make it no big deal: love is love is love. It shouldn’t be treated like a spectacle.

I agree RG. I watch my soaps (when there’s good writing) and sometimes, the writing when it comes to gay couples can be very good or there’s a nice build up to the relationship but falls flat very quickly.

And the way Adam and Eddie write, I can see them doing something like that and disappointing the fans with the way it was done.

I really hope they don’t have Elsa related to Regina…or for that matter, anyone in the current cast. It’s honestly just becoming convoluted. “Snow’s second cousin married Regina’s great aunt, and their daughter married a man….”

I agree. It would be nice for once to have a villain on this show who isn’t motivated by a family related vendetta.
