ParticipantActually, I was not a Spuffy ‘shipper but I do appreciate now everything Spike has gone through for Buffy, and Angel has more personality away from her.
As for Emma’s interest, yes, she doesn’t vocalize it but seriously body language says more than dialogue. Take Emma’s eyelashes. Anytime Hook does something surprising or impresses Emma, her eyelashes flutter. It happens every time. I don’t think we’ve seen her do that with anyone else. And the way she leans in her body towards him instead of away, I mean, if the lack of personal space between them bothered Emma, she would say it does and Hook would step back.
But she doesn’t. She likes having him close and I don’t think she minds the attention either.
JMo gave an interview yesterday about Emma’s relationship with Hook!!!

Hmm. The flashbacks didn’t bother me. Generally, I’ve had very few disappointments when it comes to episodes (except for Selfless, Brave and True.) I hated that one so bad because it awful writing and I’m not a fan of bad writing. The only other episode was I disappointed with was Welcome to Storybrooke. I felt like more could have been done with that.

ParticipantI agree bo. Some of the lines the writers have chosen to give Hook (even last year) OMG, he is rivaling Charming in the romantic lead department.
My secret is, I never thought I’d be capable of letting go of my first love… of my Milah… to believe that I could find someone else that is, until I met you.
But I also believe in good form. So when I win your heart, Emma…and I will win it… it will not be because of any trickery. It will be because you want me. (CS theme)
There’s not a day will go by I won’t think of you.
Hook: Don’t take this the wrong way, but I’m glad to hear that.
Emma: You’re glad to hear I had my heart broken?
Hook: If it can be broken It means it still works. (CS theme)
Haters can deny all they want but if it’s still the villain, the writers would not seriously even consider giving Hook romantic lines like these. Not to mention, of the above, two of them had the CS theme played in the background which just screams, EPIC romantic connection.
And then, there’s the fact that Hook looks like this for the finale? He looks like Mr. Darcy from Pride and Prejudice (2005).. I seriously smile like crazy whenever he says something epically romantic, and there’s extra feels whenever their theme is played.
Their theme alone, it screams hope, romance, hope for second chances, everything beautiful we can possibly imagine for our lovely ‘ship. It is perfect and I seriously have every short and long version of it on my iTunes and cannot wait for Mark Isham to officially announce the third volume of the soundtrack.

SyFy is going make a series out of 12 Monkeys? Why?!! The movie was so good by itself, please SyFy don’t mess it up. I guess I should feel blessed now that I don’t get the SyFy channel anymore. You doubt the people who brought you Sharknado?!
I avoid SyFy nowadays. I find that they rarely have anything I want to watch (RIP Alphas, gone before your time) You watched Alphas too? Boyfriend and I loved Alphas, he actually gets to write a paper about it. So I’m kind of jealous of him for that.

ParticipantBut what about Cora? She saw Cora actually abandon her in the woods. Cora at this point was still alive and in WL; so why didn’t Zelena go after Cora at any point? Shouldn’t she hold the same level of hatred–if not more–toward her mother?
It’s the same reason why Regina directed her anger at little innocent Snow instead of the person physically responsible for Daniel’s death. There was a great quote from Lana Parrilla in the Once magazine, but the gist if it was: we don’t want our parents to be wrong. Even if they do something bad (abandonment in Zelena’s case and murder in Regina’s), we force ourselves as the children to accept that the parent is not at fault.

ParticipantYes, because Emma must have wondered how does Hook keep all that black leather in pristine condition…like maybe she inhaled it and thought, ooh, that smells fresh. very impressive for a guy who’s lived 300 years. Lol.

ParticipantBeen reading through the last posts, and it’s come to this: Neal’s death is a lesson to us all. I know everyone watches differently, but you really cannot watch a show like Once and fall apart over one person’s death. Generally, I care about all the characters and the big thing I usually look at it, more so than ‘ships and my favorite character is the story. How do all these pieces fit together as a whole?
I feel like, if you watch a show for only one character and that character dies (Neal), then yes, I would seriously encourage you to take a break and stop watching.
But you know what, I remember back in my Buffy days, stuff happened I didn’t particularly like Buffy and Angel breaking up for real but it didn’t stop my enjoyment of the show. I kept watching because I wanted to see what was going to happen next.
But it seriously does not make any sense for fans to continue watching and they’re still miserable, two weeks later. If you’re so miserable, do something proactive about it. Stop watching the show or focus your positive energy elsewhere. I really don’t see the point of forcing yourself to watch if you’re not happy. It just makes the watcher miserable and everyone else groan.

ParticipantI remember Jane said in the commentary for Skin Deep that she likes to write about food and I recently watched a Buffy episode, The Double Meet Palace, classic Jane episode. Now, my mind just associates with her food related episodes.
But I know she does more than food episodes. I love Jane. She’s one of my favorites and has awesome writing credentials too, worked on Buffy, Battlestar Galactica. She’s got serious greek cred.
