So I posted a bunch of Jen’s tweets from last Sunday (the relevant CS ones) on my tumblr and the one about Hook and Henry continuing to bond in 3B, is getting so many notes. Currently at 106.
And I wrote a meta about how Hook and Henry bonding is okay, and it’s not an awful thing for him to have another male figure in his life. I just like seeing a portion of the fandom okay with Hook and Henry bonding. This is a show with so many different and unique relationships already. Henry has two moms, he’ll always have that connection to Neal and Hook becoming quite the team with Henry isn’t going to diminish the relationship Henry has with his father.
And in today’s world, there’s no singular definition of what makes up a family either. But the one that applies to all, is that family are people who love you and typically, does not matter if those people are related to you by blood or not.
[adrotate group="5"]I think the fact that Neal is still MIA points to him working with the WW either by choice or force.
I hope one of the promo stills we get for this, includes a full look at Emma’s princess dress. I need to see it.

I’m not sure @sweetgrass Emma will push Hook away. She might keep him at a distance for now because there’s another crisis going on (trying to figure out who cursed everyone) but we do know for sure she will continue to work with him throughout the season, their third time teaming up together if you think about 😉.

Wish I could find it, but I’ve been trying to keep my tumblr likes down for this half of the season 🙁I think TL is active, growing, and can change – you can choose who to accept into your life, you can choose who you want to love. You are responsible for your actions, and the path they lead you down. So, yes, Neal WAS her TL…when she was 17. But he chose his path, and it destroyed Emma. So while she may still love him, that love, too, has changed – from romantic love to a familial, he’s the father of her child love.
Now, I have to modify my True Love meta again. Lol.
But I get you. I wrote a two-part meta about how Jen’s tone in regard to Neal has changed in recent interviews for 3B. (Part 1 and Part 2). IMO, the change started in the winter finale with the goodbye scene.
If you compare Neal’s goodbye with Emma to Hook’s goodbye with Emma, one goodbye was intentionally set-up to be portrayed as more romantic than the other. And Hook got that one. Neal’s goodbye with Emma, felt more like two old friends parting ways.
