ParticipantWe need to talk about something positive in this thread. My ‘hope’ metas started posting today. I look at ‘Heart of the Truest Believer’ first.

ParticipantI think RG’s explanation awhile back, was that the host, got a new job and couldn’t do it anymore. I think the show’s doing well. The story this year is awesome, so much better than season two.

ParticipantMy advice: ignore the haters. As annoying as they are, we can’t change them and it only adds to the aggravation to even pay a bit of attention to them.
They want to continue hating Hook, go ahead but it doesn’t change anything. He’s not the villain anymore. He’s fighting along side our girl. If he had some nefarious plan, why go through so much effort to show his redemption arc? Hook doesn’t even wear his hook anymore. It’s been replaced by his fake hand and I think, even that says a lot.

ParticipantThanks Stelio.
So…
If Hook’s going to help Emma fight an epic battle coming up, I think it’s safe to say, he’s probably not dying anytime soon. Side note: I am currently re-watching Season 7 of Buffy with my boyfriend, which can be summed up as Spike’s redemption arc season. He went from baddie, to chipped vampire, weird next door neighbor, bed buddy to Buffy’s friend and ally. I didn’t even like Spike when I originally watched the show and definitely was not a Spuffy ‘shipper but knowing how everything turned out, 11 years later, I am actually enjoying his character now and I think, I owe some of that appreciation to Hook and Once Upon a Time. He was there, fighting alongside Buffy ’til the very end and I love seeing coming up, that the same thing will be happening with Hook/Emma. He’ll be fighting alongside her until the end.

ParticipantI agree with @Stelio. As annoying as the Hook haters are, let’s try and keep things civil here.
Now, where the heck are these spoilers coming from?

ParticipantI honestly believe that Cora and Rumple were in love but there are different kinds of love and it also depends on someone’s current emotional state.
Yes, I totally agree and will add, the Rumple who fell in love with Cora is not Skin Deep Rumple.
I think he fell in love with both Belle and Cora because they were different than the people he usually made deals with. Belle and Cora were strong women who wanted to be independent and didn’t like to be held back by anyone and that attracted him. Belle fell in love with him because she saw that there was a good man behind the mask of the DO.
This reminds me something Jane Espenson said from The Miller’s Daughter DVD Commentary:
“now i get a lot of people who say, “well if he really loved cora then that means his love for belle means nothing! it’s nothing! if he’s loved anyone in his whole life, he could never truly have one true love with belle.” i just feel like we – people love a lot of people in a lifetime. they love them all differently, and clearly there was something very, very special about his love with belle because that kiss transformed him and this one did not. but that doesn’t mean he didn’t love cora. it’s just… it’s… it’s… call it less than… certainly it was different than, but he – i absolutely believe he was able to love both those women, and milah – his wife originally.”

Participant1) Favorite episode (or 2) – Bad Blood. Once again, Wonderland does not disappoint with the daddy issues. I thought Rumple’s dad and Cora were bad, but nope, the Sultan is worse and the episode as a whole, made Jafar more sympathetic. He’s not after ultimate power, but getting his father to love and respect him. That’s all he wants. Thank you Adam and Eddie for not writing Jafar as your stereotypical villain.
2) Least favorite episode (or 2) – Who’s Alice. I think I enjoyed seeing the flashbacks, learning more about Alice’s relationship with her father, why she ended up in the asylum then what was going on in the present.
3) Favorite Character(s) – Without a doubt, Will. I wasn’t expecting him to my favorite. I thought I would gravitate towards liking Cyrus more because he was the romantic love interest, but I love Will’s sass and his commentary on stuff.
4) Favorite moments? When Alice’s dad confessed to Alice that he wasn’t the best dad in the world, and she deserves to have happiness in her life and the one thing he can give her, to help find that happiness, was the secret that Cyrus is alive. That was really beautiful.
5) Over all reaction to the season so far – I love it. I can’t wait for the series to come back.

ParticipantThat was my thought too.

ParticipantI totally agree, @captaineala and you know, the wonderful thing about this show? Once has shown us, it is possible to move on from lost love and find true love again. Even if the first love is alive (Neal), it’s still possible for Emma to find true love again with someone else.
